Wenge is by far my favorite wood. I was in my local lumberyard the other day getting wood for a tabletop and it always catches my eye more than any other wood.

I really love your work. I have watched many of your videos since I discovered you. I am going to try my woodworking skills on one of these cutting boards. Probably a basic one first. I don't have your skill level. Thanks for sharing. I love how you include your little shop "helpers" in the project. Nice touch.

A good hand plane can get you nice thin strips. Also thin strips attached to a piece of MDF and light passes through a planer works.

Nice, Brick Wall Cutting Board! I like your work a lot. You gave me an idea for my house. I'm new to woodworking, so I'm going to make a fake chimney to decorate the living room of my house. I'm going to build it in wood, and the look i'm hopping to achieve is brick look. I was going to paint the brick all over the chimney but instead i will try to replicate what i just learn from you and build the wall of brick. Its look easy to make.

Did you read the bit about damage to the central nervous system, when inhaling the dust bit 😉
Or the fact that splinters will almost inevitably become infected😉
I bought mine from a dealer from Africa, and he warned me about its effects before I googled it.
It doesn't stop me working with it,but I do take extra care when working with it 😃
YA still the best on UA-cam ,love your stuff !!
( even the CNC stuff now 😉)

You wrote about cutting board, not about working with wenge. Dust of almost woods is dangerous, especially oak (risk of cancer). I work a lot with oak, so I pay a big attention to good dust collection.
The wenge splinters are really unpleasant.:(
