Guys here's the PreOrder to the Kondor Blue Handle, geni.us/KondorBlue_SSD_Handle . A few asked to confirm it will record to the Lumix s5II externally, yes 100% confirmed with Panasonic. You need the ProRes unlock license / firmware update for $200.
Soooo all throughout my childhood (17yrs now) I have been obsessed with movies and film! However, I have always had that little voice in the back of my head that says BUILD ROBOTS. It was hard to find a middle ground... until I discovered the world of engineering and design in cinema! Ever since then, I have desperately wanted to start a cinema company where I design cinema cameras and rigs. It was difficult describing this to my parents, but this video exactly displays the types of paths I could go within cinema engineering. Thank you so much for the great content!
So many great and exciting new innovations coming this year, but the Axibo E-Jib looks like my favorite piece featured in this lineup. A portable, mini robotic arm under $10K WITH UE5 support!?!? **chef's kiss**
In all my many years going and then watching NAB videos I have to say this is easily the best I have ever seen and actually watched to the end. Great job
I swear to GOD, when I watch your videos I can HEAR the skidding sounds my brain makes as it screeches to a halt! I can't keep up with you, man. So much info you give in increasingly shorter and shorter amounts of time in your vids. Editing aside, you are overclocked. 👍🤯🤣❤Love your stuff, brother!
Hey Yo Yo Josh Yeo. You know what " I LOVE YOU " and YOU refers to the kind of person you are. "To be perfectionistic, passionate, and knowledgeable in your craft is to be a master of your art, and to inspire others to strive for excellence.
Nice meeting you and your editor. We talked briefly about LiDAR focus on cinema lenses vs having a 1st AC man them. I’ll always remember you giving me the time of day.
Thanks for the great recap and the quick meet and greet over at DJI. This was my first NAB show and it was pretty mind blowing for sure. From an audio engineer's perspective, Davinci Resolve is just killing it with the new updates and is miles ahead of Final Cut and Premiere when it comes to DAW like control over project audio. Excited to see what they do with Fairlight in the future!
Thanks for the amazing summary of the whole convention. I love seeing you, get excited about gear and tech, and being the ambassador for those of us who couldn’t make it out.
Thank u so much for letting me cruise with you and have some fun. You are amazing and a super cool dude plagued by severe social ADHD and I totally enjoyed hanging with you and Connor. Much mahalo and hopefully I ll see u some day in Hawaii ;)
I was an extra on the Disney movie “Togo.” They were afraid that they wouldn’t have enough extras for the crowd scene so they used technology similar to Motio to turn us into 3D characters. Unfortunately they did not add them to the film.
@@michaelgarcia4872 My son was a child actor. I have been on many movie sets and have worked as a stand in and an extra. For this movie they actually advertised they were looking for men with facial hair. If you watch the movie, I’m the photographer on Main Street when William Defoe wins the dog sled race.
But now they have a 3D version of you and everyone else who was there, and they can reuse you for whatever future productions they need. Very cost effective on their end.
After just returning from a travel shoot I feel the last line of "more important sh*t to handle" when I arrived home yesterday! Thanks for the condensed recap!
That Tilta handle is sick AF. Wish camera companies could figure out how to dual record with SSD & SD card/CF Express in mind. I just hate giving up dual recording for SSD recording.
hahahaha the Coney Island circus show song on the background at the end nailed it. Thanx for showing all the secrets for the future sauce. Axibo is amazing, and the new Nucleos Nano II! and firefly crop 5K 1000fps, its like "stepping" into Phantom territory. Well anamorphic are rapidly evolving, thanks to guys like Tito Ferradans, that are telling brands technical overviews, and cultivating the culture. What do you really think of Relight in the new Davinci 18.5?? Well, thanks for all of this anyway 🙏
I saw Orbit while I was there, super cool! I’m also very excited about the DZO anamorphics, if they can take the initial feedback and adjust a few things, they’ll be great.
So much great tech, love it! Also, the more uploads I see from you, the more I kick myself for not just starting UA-cam more seriously lol. Great work!
Is the backround music a circus themed version of muse!?. Yikkkes knights of snowdonia released 2006 😱. Who remembers playing this song on guitar hero, drunk at uni/college lol.
Good job Josh… 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻interesting that YT’s are now the fullest spokes people for industry SELL!!! No more fossils in marketing from the CO’s with their heads in the sand. Interesting to also see lots of new toys to buy (which is NOT A GOOD THING - who needs more GACK in their storage unit?) but that China is now the leading push in TECH & industry hardware. Virtually everything that is fast forwarding for future film makers is TECH & products from China. Impressive. It won’t be long now before Streaming HAS TO LET IN new film makers who are itching to tell GOOD stories. Now if we can just get some brilliant writers - we’re SET for the next gen of mind blowing film makers on this planet.
It's pretty fair to day we all tackle this at some point. I'm deliberately taking a break while having a young child. I managed fine with one, but two is hard work. Defo plan to start video making again hopefully soon, just need more sleep
I think the stabilization. Also, the 85 had closer to full frame coverage, as I shot both on the fx3 and the 28 needed to be pushed it more. You can tell a little bit by some of the shots are cropped less on the 85.
100% possible. Confirmed with Panasonic. It's a $200 firmware upgrade. Gerald was incorrect on the Kondor blue podcast the other day when I brought it up.
In case anyone else reads this- the information Josh has stated in the pinned comment is currently incorrect. I have contacted Panasonic myself after buying the unlock code myself. The s5ii is not capable of external recording to an ssd. If you don’t need raw capability don’t waste your money on the license. It won’t do what is stated here. 😢
@@MAKEARTNOWCHANNEL Cheers for the response. At least they say they are working on different lengths. The 35mm with neutral coating is by far my favourite entry level anamorphic. Fingers crossed they can keep the look consistent.
Does S5 II can record to external SSD? I thought that only X version can to that. If it’s not mistake a have to buy external SSD and start total new workflow with my Lumix! ❤️

Thank you for dropping by our NAB booth.
whoever made that dope graphic needs a raise😮💨
Best first 18 seconds of a camera gear video in 2023. Prove me wrong

That ending was so sweet!
Weee! I'm there! It was super fun hanging out Josh! We definitely need to work on something together soon! ;)
Yes bro. This must happen.
5:16 omg what a person!
Right ? :)
Best NAB recap so far. The cool stuff with just enough spec talk but no need to scrub forward.
Killing it.

It's true. It's equal parts amazing and forlorn. Everyday I'm reminded of my mortality, the passing of time, and the tiniest moments of gossamer.
the warping in the anamorphic shots coming from the lens or stabilization?
