what about witches? I dunno if it's still the case but in the past witches could outheal the damage taken from magma blocks (assuming they cannot also outheal campfires), so that would remove the need to heal your mobs from time to time. Witches can also toss poison, so that could trigger the silverfish mining below without having to have a brewer setup or a buffer chest preloaded. One obstacle I can see is that the silverfish will wander too far (which is fine for later when you move the farm but not so optimal when you're trying to clear blocks). Slimeblock machines tend to be notoriously unreliable with respect to entities, but perhaps you could move the farm around that way to keep the miners busy. The player will need to generate player-damage without also killing the mob, for that you could probably use an autoclicker swording an armorstand. This will trigger a sweeping edge attack from time to time and because the sword is not enchanted with Sweeping Edge enchants the damage these base sweeping attacks do is always 1 point. Add a sword-autocrafter and you don't need to waste more valuable materials on better weapons.
Etho was doing this when silverfish spawners were first added to the game. He figured out how to store silverfish for later, as well as how to move them around.
And if you're willing to build this setup, might as well make a splash regen potion to patch up your armadillos after some time. Better to be safe than sorry. It's easier than one of those flying bombardment machines.
Instead of armadillos you can shove allays onto the campfires and set up a three dispenser system, one with potion of infestation, one with a flint and steel to light the campfire, amd one with water to extinguish the campfire when not using. Just put allays in a hole above tje campfire and use pistons to push them down u til they are merged with the campfires basically, amd because allays have regenerative capabilities they should never die, and also you can dupe the allays with amethyst
@@OddWorlderer this technique was demonstrated in another UA-cam series.. think of hermits playing Minecraft. An Xp farm was made combing bunches of allays, boats, infected potion and a ton of poor silverfish lol
Mojang has got to make silverfish be able to infest the rest of the stone type blocks, imagine doing this to find ancient debris or set up an end island trap that causes the entire island to just disintegrate beneath your feet...
As someone who's met a silverfish or two IRL, the raining silverfish here look horrific 😂 In an uninfestable room, torrential silverfish would make a great trap
Yeah use allays bc they regenerate fast OR use the witch healer, where you have like 20 witches and a pillager with under 3 hearts, then make a water stream with soul sand to catch the healing potions that the witches throw at the pillager to heal the armadillos OR use tnt flying machines to mine even faster automatically.
Two issues arise. The first is, when they've eaten away enough floor, the drop becomes insta-death to newcomers. I'd keep the contraption around floor level. The second is, once you've used this, you've got a ton of silverfish to kill. A possibly fix would be a water block just under the fire. Once the floor is lower, it will spill around creating a drop they can survive. Once it the floor is down far enough there should be enough water to drown a good portion of them for an easier cleanup.
Imo they should make a workstation that can make every block into a slab. And also allow 2 different types of slabs on each other. Would allow for so much more detailing in every build
Harmless? Pretty sure they're as bad as moths when it comes to clothes. They're common where I live. Cute? I'm not normally afraid of insects, but there are a few that creep me out. Silverfish is one of them. 😨
Hi I'm Robert I'm using my mom's phone right now. bra Mojang should make it so silverfish can infect the regular versions and make them the infected versions cuz that's the whole thing is if they can't infect the regular versions well how did the infected versions come into existence see what I mean so there should be no such thing as the infected version or at least the infected version should just be what it's called when a silverfish is currently in it. But maybe Mojang just doesn't care about the law or what would make sense.
Does poison from witches not work for this? If so, it should be possible to set up a farm where a witch is being provoked to throw potions and those potions are being captured by a water stream or something.
Seems like it would pair well with explosive mining by doing that first and then using silver fish to mine after. The set up for this would be too much work for what's supposed to be an easy return. It's an awesome concept but it's going to need refining.
The only thing I remember about silverfish watch out for armor durability they chew threw armor and stand somewhere safe if one flings in your direction, it might push you off. xD
This just screams surface to bedrock quarry. Take some time to replace all four edges with Anti silverfish blocks in advance and they could dig a whole chunk out. Just have the poison dropped from the surface on the same timer as the one that drops the potion on the armadillos.
It doesn’t work on bedrock lads which means it’s another Java exclusive feature. Silverfish don’t spawn from mobs taking damage from non player sources except skeletons and zombies in sunlight but unless you’re gonna redirect a mob spawner to burn hundreds of skeletons for a few silverfish good luck. It’s also not as effective, silverfish don’t break as fast and you need to again actively damage them so no poison potion
Noooo. Use an infested witch, and a snow golem. Thats how you get your infinite silver fish. Snow golem shoots witch with their pillow like snowball, witch heals its self and spits out silverfish.
Dude, if you find an ore vein like that in survival and you make that contraption you can uncover the entire thing and mind the entire thing. That's thousands and thousands of iron ore as well as diamonds. Well not thousands of them
