    Best naked for the road period. Screw stats, I owned the Superduke 1290, it's a great bike but the extra torque and horsepower will just get you put in jail or dead. The throttle on the duke is snatchy and violent. I traded for the 16 speed S. The bike is more comfortable, the engine is super smooth, the brakes are just as good, it's got enough power to get your adrenaline pumping, and the overall attention to detail on this bike is amazing. Unless you go to the track every weekend get the Triumph.

      You are right with stats for Ex duke dude..But the dukes exhaust sounds jus like shit flow unless you just want to race..Nthng can beat the triple exhaust and decent power and great head turning character 👍🏻

    my 2000 speed triple is still the most fun bike I've been on. And theres something about those dual round headlights still makes me all giddy inside when I look at them =)
    I can't imagine an extra 30-40 hp with almost 100lbs shaved off!

      It felt great on the SP3...I didn't think about it at all. I like the cable throttle better than FBW on the Tiger. There was a lag off the bottom that I didn't like. Apparently it can be remedied with a remap. Hope this helps?

    Love it and want one obviously. But I'm currently in heading into nowhere and looking at trees. I imagine I'll stop doing this soon and the Triple will be high on my shopping list. The BMW gets better reviews over here but it doesn't have the look or the character or the feel of the Speed. Best line: 'this is fucking fun' - I know how that feels! +The Crumble The S1000R ? I mass debating on whether to get the S1000R or the Speed triple for my next bike to "Upgrade" from the Street Triple R. Rumour has it that I'll be getting one before 2025, but rumours are almost always inevitably wrong aren't they ? Thoughts ? we all have them and I'd like to see your's Crumble or Cal Moto, I'm not fussed, just fussy.

      +The Crumble I think you'll need to go through an 1190 R and a GS before even thinking of pure street again. The KTM and BMW are tremendous street bikes. Keep doing what you do as long as we all get to see some of it!

    Thanks for the Video
    I'm surprise the bike does not come in the US with LED turn signal.
    Also I've read somewhere, the DRL in the USA won't be LED. I saw on the video the DRL area on the front lights, but they were not ON. Are they just regular bulb? or maybe they don't even turn on? or are they still LED?
    I know they just are details! but was wondering!

      The drl's are LED but the headlights stay on all the time due to regulations in the states. The DRL's kind of get overpowered by the headlights.

      Depends on what you're riding now, and depends on your inseam and the width of the seat, not your overall height.
      And the rest is up to you.
      And remember: whatever you look at, that's where the bike will go. Remember that. Being a shorty myself, I keep my damn fool head up in parking lots, and look where I want the bike to go. I have a 27" inseam, ride a Versys lowered 1".

    Why does it stall on you? That's not the first time I've seen the 2016 do that. What issues are they having? This bike really interests me but I'm not spending money on something brand new so it can be problematic lol.

    • @calmoto9073
      @calmoto9073  7 років тому +1

      I had this happen on several new Triumphs that are fly by wire. It seems to be a throttle position sensor issue that is solved by turning the ignition on w/o starting the bike and holding the throttle wide open so that the ecu and establish the position. I haven't experienced a stalling problem after doing that. Simple:)

    • @mhey1705

      +roger jensen I'm a sucker for the triple. The Super Duke is a phenomenal motorcycle, but the Speed Triple is awesome, especially when you consider that the "S" model is $4200.00 less expensive.

    Nice bike, with arrow exhaust makes really nice noise. Bad thing about triumph triples, they are really cramped, i cant sit in one for more than 15 min, im 1,86m and my legs were cramped

    What're the odds of fuckin up on the corner exits without TC?

    • @calmoto9073
      @calmoto9073  8 років тому

      Shorter;) I just did my first track day and rode my 2015 SP3 w/o TC and was just fine. I think it might be better to learn how to regulate the throttle manually. That's one reason I bought a 140 hp bike rather than a 180 hp bike.

      Hmm, that's a good point. I think the smooth fueling and throttle response should help, but for other bikes, it could definitely be worse. Probably won't be getting a new bike until late 2017, but I am looking for that daily driver/track bike

      +Johnny Good I sell European bikes. In my area it's hard to find access to new Japanese machines to demo. Plus, time is an issue. I sure would like to ride the new R1 though!

    The mirrors move with the wind at 40-50 mph? What is so cool about a fucking $15000 bike when you have to adjust the mirrors every few minutes? Additionally, why the engine shut off where you made the right turn? New bike ? Ooohhhmmm!
