      I have to second this sentiment, there ain't many people that have a firm grasp on humour and information all at once!
      Mind you, I'm Australian, so I probably get more out of it than this American lout...

    I'd give you 100% except for the too-loud music.
    I watched due to possibly buying a used 2014. Now... Maybe wait for a newer one!

    My predictions for the inevitable new Speed Triple are; They're going to increase the capacity to 1090 cc. They'll put the new screen from the 765 and probably make it 1-2 kilos lighter. And they're going to make it damn nice.

  • @mikej5337

    gizmag, how bout a review of the 675r? i live in adelaide and on my P's, my next bike might be a 675 r, the only thing im worried about is their popularity, they are not well known here, so are they hard to sell if i decide to?

    • @gizmag
      @gizmag  7 років тому

      Not well known? There's plenty of them in Victoria. Personally I don't fit great on them, I'm too big and old and inflexible and I generally don't get along super well with sportsbikes, which is why I don't do a lot of reviews on them. But they've been very well received as a great road/track machine with a little more midrange than the Japanese i4s. I've got a mate who will never part with his Daytona.

    Also you should try do a review on the MT10.

    • @gizmag
      @gizmag  7 років тому +1

      The Gixxess doesn't make me feel as special, but it is the single greatest wheelie bike I've ever ridden, plus loads cheaper. I think I'd go with that and have several grand to spend on suspension, sorting out the throttle snatch, heck you could stick lightweight wheels on it and probably still be cheaper than the Triumph. But it wouldn't be a Triple...

    • @jimbo1485
      @jimbo1485 7 років тому

      gizmag totally agree with you on the throttle on the gsxs. Really ruins the bike imho. Keep up the great reviews. Your awesome

    • @gizmag
      @gizmag  7 років тому +1

      My latest information is that there's a very simple throttle position sensor fix for the GSX-S - it's set snatchy to get past emissions but very easy to correct. You might wanna google around that a bit.

    I noticed your wearing RST gear in this review. I recently discovered Wolf -Moto, which I think is owned by Norton. I see the similarly between the brands (arm stitching, etc..) and now wonder if they are the same company. Can you tell me if Wolf-Moto is good gear, there's limited stuff on the net about them. Perhaps a gear review / comparison while you recover. best of luck with that btw

    • @gizmag
      @gizmag  7 років тому

      +J Stiles wow, well spotted. This is the Titanium Outlast suit, originally by Wolf but rebadged as RST for Australia. I love the super thin inner liner, it's the only one I've ever left in a jacket. It warms and cools so it works in all weather. Terrific. It's also a very comfy suit for me. On the downside, after a year and a half of daily use, the suede bits have started to fall apart, around the neck and shoulders. And it's never been very waterproof. But it did a great job for me in the heat and cold of Mongolia and overall I'm pretty happy for the price.

  • @kevinwong9656
    @kevinwong9656 7 років тому

    How does this compare against the GSX-S1000?

    • @gizmag
      @gizmag  7 років тому +1

      +Kevin Wong totally different concepts of how to build a street bike. I like the Triumph for its looks, character and its low down grunt, but the Suzuki is a screamer on a fast road, and far, far better for wheelies. Given the huge price difference I think the it's hard to go past the GSX-S.

    "Cruise control should be there" but unfortunately, it's not. However I couldn't justify spending the extra money on an MT10 just for that. Rather have the Brembos, bar end mirrors, triple intake sounds, non-transformers looks, etc etc

    Liked these bikes, since they came out wid the first triumph street rrr. My brother talked me out of getting a triumph, as few if his mates has triumph. Thing is triumph has issues with the electrics. Looked into this on triumph forum etc, people say they riding along then the display goes mental, turns bike off then can't restart, rinding on back of a recovery truck. People says it like the battery goes flat, even put a new one on. In few days, there is so many people who had experienced electric problems, so this has put me off, sorry triumph but had read that triumph has no idea of this fault, triumph has done a recall on 2018 bikes, so be a jap bike, for me.
