- Maintaining a square club face through the golf swing is tough for most golfers. In this video I talk in-depth as to what we should see and feel at each stage of the swing to help achieve a more consistently square face at impact.

Very well explained; thank you for sharing.
Thanks! Glad you like it.
Well said and demonstrated
Great to hear, thanks!
Great explanation!
Thanks!
Fantastic video. Maybe you can do a follow-on video that addresses the idea of over-squaring or deliberately shuting the face, in transition for power by down-cock-loading the right wrist into further extension, that you see so many of the long hitters do (DJ, Keopka, Champ) and even control players like Morikawa, and they use this 'shut' position and are still hitting high fades. I was a competitive tennis player and this reminds me so much of what I call the looping tennis topspin forehand move that generates so much more power than a simple straight back and through forehand which you see most non-tournament level players hit - and obviously, you see this in a much, much more exaggerated way in the Trevino/Wolff type swings - which I love to practice for fun because it is a very natural tennis type action. Many thanks
Yeah some great thoughts there, thanks. You’re right, it is a more advanced movement that majority of golfers will be struggling with trying to incorporate. But one that can be very powerful.
Waoo love this video !!! Thanks
Thanks! Glad you liked it.
Awesome video.
Thanks!
Great video - I struggle most with squaring the face with my driver. You mentioned at the end the differences with strong and weak grips. So was your grip a more neutral grip to get the ‘tray of drinks’/flat wrist at top position? Uk subscriber - all the best with your channel🏌🏽
Thank you! Yes exactly. That flat lead wrist/ tray of drinks trail wrist maintains a square face if we start with a neutral grip. If we start with a weaker or stronger grip then the wrist positions at the top will be slightly different to maintain a square face. And for some extra info on how different grip styles impact the swing, check out my wrist angles video if you haven’t already. Thanks for subscribing!
