Born and raised in Louisiana and after living in CA for 10 years, I moved to Arkansas. Being underrated is an understatement. The talent here is second to none. Artists, photographers, singers, songwriters, writers, and craftsmen fill these hills. One of my favorite places in Arkansas is Heber Springs. So much to do there. Then head north to my second favorite spot, Leslie. I now realize that my grandparents, parents, aunts, uncles, and others see in this beautiful place. Visit Arkansas and welcome living heaven.

Little Rock native here. So very cool that you displayed my beautiful home state. I’m not sure how this was recommended but so cool to see! Glad you guys enjoyed your visit!
This is the first vlog I've ever seen from my home town! It's super cool to see the city from the eyes of someone who has never been here before. I actually attended Little Rock Central for high school. It was a great experience for me but it's easy to forget about the history that happened there and take it for granted when you're just there every day living a normal life with an incredibly diverse group of classmates! One thing y'all definitely missed out on, though, is cheese dip! Cheese dip actually was first made in the central AR area and we are very passionate about our love for cheese dip - at least I am!
Oh wow, you went to high school there?! That’s crazy! I kept trying to envision what it would be like to be a student there. We are glad to hear the school is very diverse now. Did y’all often have rangers taking people on tours during school hours?
@@AdventuresofAplusK yeah we did haha. It was not uncommon to see tours going through the school during the day. It also was a pretty regular sight to see tour buses full of people going to the museum across the street!
I grew up in Little Rock and my parents, sister in law and niece are still living there. My brother, sister in law and niece all went to Central High School! I’m in Fayetteville now. Come back for the holidays, the Stewart Family Christmas Lights are a MUST. Glad you had a great time here!
It has been really neat to meet folks that have ties to Central High since posting this video! Thank you for the Christmas tips, we hope someone reading this can take advantage of them this year!
I’m going to Central for High School next year! Also, very close to Loblolly is a restaurant called, The Root Cafe which is soooo good so if you guys ever come back make sure to go there! One thing that I would recommend off of the menu is the Banh Mi!
i hope you enjoy it. It's a lot walking to class and stairs. I hope your classes are not far apart. Sit by the windows in class unless you are easily distracted.

It is definitely under appreciated! Such a beautiful area! 😍
Love this version of learning. Culture, food, and history.....all from my couch. Thanks guys keep up the great work !
ps who doesnt love a Harry Potter reference worked into an ice cream flavour??? Awesome
Woo! Glad you enjoyed it! 🙌🏼 They had such fun flavors there, but how can you not get the one that shall not be named?!
Thank you for coming here. I loved it and am very happy you enjoyed it here. COME back!!!
We had a great time in Arkansas! We will be back!
Little Rock looked awesome! Thank you for always showing the rest of us such cool and historical spots to visit! Oh man, that ice cream looked so yummy...I love chunky ice cream!😋
The chunks were out of this world! Sooo good! 😋
I’m moving to LR in a few months, so imagine my surprise when this showed up in my recommended haha. Thank you for the insight into things I can do while I’m there! :)
Yay! We're glad it can give you some ideas! There is so much to do nearby. Good luck on your move!
I'm now in Little Rock too! RV Life rocks!
Awesome! Enjoy!
Yes this is where I live :) love Little Rock!!!
Woo! We had a great time!
Nothing better than a local ice cream shop after a fun day of hiking! Our kids would agree too. Your videos are always great to watch. - Andrew
Thank you Andrew! And we agree-nothing beats ice cream after anything really 😜
I am a 1990 Little Rock Central High School graduate. Last year would have been my 30-year school reunion but we couldn't do it because of the pandemic. I thank you guys for featuring this in your video. Means a lot that you guys captured the city the way you did. Love it. Born and raised here. Appreciate you guys. Love it
We are so sorry you couldn’t have your reunion! Visiting Little Rock Central High and learning more about it was by far one of the most meaningful places we have visited in a long time. Thank you for the kind words about the video ❤️
@@AdventuresofAplusK You're welcome. We will be celebrating it in September with the C/O "91 "smile" hopefully. The reason I say that is because of the cases are constantly going up. Crossing fingers.
I'm glad you guys enjoyed the stay. GREAT VIDEO. I also shared it with the committee of my class year. LOL I know they are gonna love it.
Another great vlog from the Highways and Byways. A little tip on fish or seafood, if you can smell it or it tastes fishy it's NOT fresh. Fresh fish and seafood doesn't have fishy odors. Thanks again and stay safe and healthy out there!!
Very good to know! Now I can use that as my excuse if I don't like it "it's not fresh enough!" 😜
As someone born and raised in LR you guys did a phenomenal job capturing the beauty of our state. I dont know what the ones who say they dont understand why anyone comes to Arkansas are talking about. We have a beautiful state. So much talent and good food outside of nature spots. Thank you
We have no idea what they are talking about either! It's a hidden gem of a state and as big outdoor lovers, we wish we had as many epic hikes that y'all have growing up in Texas! Thanks for the kind words!
I’m from cabot currently living in Conway and always in Little Rock and I’m impressed with the way you showed this city. Been pretty much everywhere you’ve been and the city doesn’t get the respect it deserves.
We couldn’t agree more! It has been super disappointing to see the negativity in these comments about the city. We really enjoyed our time there and in the state as a whole. So much natural beauty!
ya'll are really cute! I'm so happy this video popped into my feed. I have never hiked to the top and I am from Arkansas. I was pleased to live vicariously through you guys. the bugs tho. lol
Thank you so much for the kind words! We're glad we could virtually take you the top AND protect you from those nasty bug lol! 😂 They were insane!
Thanks for coming here..
Of course!
Have always heard good things about LR. Cute Mobil "fillin station."
The building is super cute!
I come as an exchange student from Mexico City and never left. I love Arkansas I’m married a great Arkansas guy. I love the marvelous views and the great colors of the seasons the nature of the state is breathtaking I love camping, with so many lakes and hiking trails what’s there not to love about it. I take it any time from the big glamorous cities. Is great to see a report about Little Rock!
You described all of the reasons why we loved our visit too! Glad you have enjoyed living there! ❤️
I know I said this in the comments of the last video but I have to say it again. I love that the two of you can share an adventure of a place not high on my list to visit and make we want to go there. I as always love the historical, nature food and being willing to give us the SCOOP on local Ice cream LOL. Much love yo you both
That’s one of the best compliments we could get, so keep it coming! 😉 Always happy to give you the SCOOP! 😜😜
Thank you so much for coming to my city!! Covid was pretty tough on Little Rock, which is why you dont see a lot of people around, but we came back bigger and better than ever!! Anyone watching this and have a thought about coming to our city, please do. We'd love to have you enjoy our amazing food, beautiful nature, and friendly people. There's so much to do in this city and want each of you to come visit!!
We loved Little Rock and Arkansas as a whole! And we personally enjoyed the lack of crowds as well.
This surprised me, I was born and raised in Little Rock, I still live in the area , suburbs. My dad graduated from Central High in 1942. There are lots of cool and historic sites to see.
It is a really neat city! We enjoyed learning some of its history.
Was just Little Rock High School until about 1954 when Hall HS opened. My mother graduated there in 1946.
Little Rock native here. So very cool that you displayed my beautiful home state. I’m not sure how this was recommended but so cool to see! Glad you guys enjoyed your visit!
We're glad you enjoyed seeing our visit! We had a great time!
That’s pretty crazy! You got to learn in the footsteps of US history!
I’m from Benton which is only 15 mins away from Little Rock so I was familiar to a lot of these places
Nice!
Howdy, Neighbor! I live in Bryant!
I’m going to Central for High School next year! Also, very close to Loblolly is a restaurant called, The Root Cafe which is soooo good so if you guys ever come back make sure to go there! One thing that I would recommend off of the menu is the Banh Mi!
Nice! Good luck in high school! And thank you so much for the tips!
i hope you enjoy it. It's a lot walking to class and stairs. I hope your classes are not far apart. Sit by the windows in class unless you are easily distracted.
I’m so excited for this cause we’re about to move to Little Rock!
Sweet! Congrats on the move!
How are you liking living there so far? I'll be moving there soon for a temporary job. Would like some pointers on every day life things!
@@msandra6991 we’ve been here a week and love where my house is! We’re in the country more but still only 25 mins from the center of Little Rock. Do to the ice store we haven’t made it down that far but will later this month
@@ashleebaerga thanks for sharing!!
Welcome to my humble state
Thanks so much for the welcome Pamela!
This came up in my recommendations. So glad it did! I'm going to Pinnacle Mountain soon and tour Central High School after the pandemic.
We hope you have a great time! We would love to go back and tour the high school and learn even more about its history!
Nice i live here love pinnacle mountain!
Such a fun hike! 🙌🏼
The East summit is my favorite side to climb up. It’s more of a climb then walking up the West side. Nice video of Little Rock!
We definitely want to try that side next time! Sounds fun! Thanks for the kind words 🤗
Yes!! East Summit is so great!
I'm born, raised, and still reside in Little Rock. I love it here. Thank you for doing am amazing job on reviewing our city and state. We have amazing things to do. Like Friday Night Art Walk on 2nd Friday (River Market) and 3rd Friday (Argenta). In December, there is an event called Nog Off it is a competition with who makes the best Egg Nog. Due to Covid alot of things are cancel.
Thank you for the kind words, we had a great time! We visited Argenta as well and loved the vibe over there. We also LOVE egg nog, so that event sounds super fun!
Ahhhh my city!! 😍 So good seeing it showcased!

One of our friends said once you visit Arkansas, you will not want to leave. Little Rock looks amazing with so much history, exploring, and things to see & do! - Randy & Milin
We really enjoyed the entire state and cannot wait to go back and explore more! So much nature and things to do!
I live in Arkansas and it is such a great state!!!! SO beautiful with so many hiking trails, lakes, all kinds of things to do here and I like to think we are super nice people. Glad to see y'all enjoyed your visit!!!!! Did you try any BBQ while you were here or any good country cooking?
Lots of beauty in the state for sure! We are saving up our BBQ for back here in TX, but we enjoyed all of the food we tried, especially that fried catfish.
This is great! Y'all are one of my favorite UA-cam travel channel peeps & here you are in Little Rock! So exciting. I am thinking of moving to Little Rock -short term. Looks good.
