Gorilla's aren't stupid, they know what a threat and what's not, and if they trust their trainer, they can trust their families to. And apes know so much when It comes to human toddlers, we were them once, and they know that, so they treat human infants like on of their own.

One, I am not a sir, nothing in my comment made any allusion to my gender. Two evolution is accepted by over 99% of the scientific community. The ego it takes to think we are somehow special and exempt from natural law is mind boggling. Pull your head out of your archaic books for a second and take some time to do some research before spewing nonsense. Evolution has not been debunked, in fact every day the amount of evidence we have supporting evolution grows. What was created were the books and philosophies that people like you love to cling to.

You worded that like you were trying to imply that the common ape is our ancestor (which is extremely false and people don't realize that evolution works in branches where one species evolves into multiple others). The common ape is not an under-evolved human; its more like a cousin to the human.
And no they aren't careful around toddlers because they understand evolution. They're careful because they're smart enough to know threat from nonthreat.

I don't see what the big deal is. These animals are incredibly intelligent. They knew that she was a baby and needed to be handled with care. Two small children have fallen into a gorilla enclosure at two different zoos and two different gorillas protected and saved those children. One gorilla barricade the child in refusing to let any of the gorillas get within arms reach of the child until he was rescued. The other gently picked up the child and began rocking him as she was walking over to the door and then handed the child over.

    • @tinobemellow
      @tinobemellow Рік тому +8

People often like to focus on prominently negative events because those events are those which are most often documented, and circulate the quickest. Isolated cases in which aggressive males or individuals target human children are an ever-present threat in these situations, as gorillas are known to assault their own offspring (or at least the offspring of other gorillas) at times. But those situations don't represent the norm. Would you consider it fair to consider figures like Hitler and other such aggressive humans as representative of the entire human species? I would say no. Remember instead that animals have as wide a capacity for aggressive deeds as humans have, and no species should be grouped under the category of "bad."
Except mosquitos. Those guys can suck it, as it were.

This is a special and rare occurrence; for a gorilla family to accept a human family as an extension of their own.
However, we can never (and should never) forget that no animal can be trusted 100% to be safe.
Look at dogs, cats, snakes, pet hamsters etc. Cute lovely and loyal, but there's always that risk of them playfully snapping/clawing out of excitement.
What happens when a 300 pound gorilla gets too playful? A toddler potentially could be killed.

+bosnakedisniksic FYI As you should know all too well by now, there is a time lag when one's speech is transmitted via satellite, so the listener can often assume that the speaker has ended his comment and end up inadvertently talking over an additional comment. And, for you to use this feeble excuse to state a purely personal OPINION about "Fox Entertainment" (which, BTW, does not even exist) proves that you know less than nothing about the difference between a News Anchor who intentionally interrupts a guest only when there is crucial breaking news to report; a field correspondent for whom the same satellite lag exists; and a guest on an Opinion-based Program whose interviewer has every right to demand that guests answer the specific questions asked and not give speeches or continually repeat the same biased talking points. Grow Up.

Here's the truth about "Faux News," Einstein:
Fox News haters are just lazy, ill-informed patsies who get your opinions spoon-fed to you by radical, left-wing propaganda sites. Permit me to enlighten you about Fox News:
As reported by US News, The Wall Street Journal, and The Pew Research Center:
"In a stunning rejection of network news and nightly news anchors, cable news, driven by the Fox News Channel and mouthy Bill O'Reilly, is now the top most trusted source -- by a mile. In a new poll from Boston's Suffolk University, more than a quarter of the nation says Fox is tops when it comes to who they trust the most, and O'Reilly is the most believable.
"The key finding is that network news is dying. Some 28 percent of likely voters say that they trust Fox News the most, followed by CNN at 18 percent. After that, the trust in TV news nose dives. NBC was third, at 10 percent, MSNBC fourth at 7 percent, CBS and ABC tied at fifth with just 6 percent. The remaining 25% are divided up at less than 1% each among local media outlets and Internet news sources.""
      Viewer Demographics:
Fox News: 39% Republican, 33% Democratic, 22% Independent
      CNN: 18% Republican, 51% Democratic, 23% Independent
      MSNBC: 18% Republican, 45% Democratic, 27% Independent
In short, you should be outraged at these hate sites' subversive propaganda, but you and your ilk will simply bury your head back in the sand and go on conducting a slobbering love affair with those who tell you only what you want to hear, the real Truth be damned. If someone has to resort to lies and distortions to support their agenda, what does this say about its merit, as well as its advocates' morals and ethics? GROW UP!

I am a firm believer in showing no fear with an animal. Your strength and confidence and compassion for the animal comes into play here. Yes some animals no way but I've seen many videos depicting the side of the animals that is soothing and gentle and very loving. Gorilla's are 97% our genetic equals which means they are 97% that close to what we are. And we are a bunch of crazy humans; think about some of the shit that some have done to other humans. We have to give animals credit, have faith. Animals are violent because of their needs food - sex - territory -etc... What are our reasons?

People that keep animals caged and don't have any human interaction with the animals will never learn to interpret their body language and still wonder why their animal is still defensive.
