Buy multiple scrolls of the same name. Buy one scroll of a different name. Equip the scroll with multiple. Drop the lone scroll and it will duplicate as many of it as you have stacked of the first scroll. Replace the lone scroll with whatever it is you want to duplicate.
@@Zero-The-Hunter It does work on pc and as far as what button to press, if you can't map your buttons in the controls settings I'd say either use google or look up the duplication glitch for pc. It's also worth mentioning that since you're on pc you can just spawn items using console commands so you technically don't even need to use this glitch. May Talos guide you to victory.

My cousin found another one back in the day, for example, we would do a melee charge attack and go to your inventory menu in mid swing. Whatever you wanna duplicate, some things didn't work like weapons or armor but I'm not 100% sure it was years ago, drop it and while still in your inventory unequip your arrows and equip them so basically double tapping with the arrows if you already have them equipped. Unpause and you'll hit what you're duplicating if you time it right. If you have 100 arrows, you'll get 100 of let's say scrolls in your case. Maybe 101 but I never checked lol. Cheers

Still works on 3-28-22. Word of advice after you do the duplication. Switch your spell and than equip the scroll again for the duplication to work with your item of choice.

Oh hell yes! I love starting a new character and getting the waterfront shack immediately. I only wish that they would’ve included some type of fishing mechanic to this game. That way I’d be the fisherman hero. Way more simpler than the old way which required you to attack the item you wanted to duplicate at a precise time.
guybeleeve “The old way” you’re referring to actually had unnecessary steps. You didn’t actually need to slash anything with your weapon. I tested it back on the PS3 version. The only thing you needed to do was use the scrolls just like now (at least on the PS3 ver of course. Maybe the xbox version really did have those extra steps, I wouldn’t know.)
also if you don't have the Unoffical patch you can do the dup glitch Effect perminent Glitch basicly you get a ring or Armour Ectra that has an effect you dupe it so their 2 Remove the 1 your not wearing and it removes Both the Effect is now permently on you so long as you don't wear ether of those Items wearing will remove it you can do this with made enchanted item as well just make sure to never wear it it Also Stacks the Effect so you could make your self jump into Orbit or make your self permently chameleon
Ok to save a lot of time… you could have just done this. Example: if you had 7 scrolls you could have left 6 in you inventory of the other scroll you were going to drop…. When you drop the 6 after you double clicked the 7… it should drop 6 scrolls with a quantity of 6 a piece… So you’d have 42… you could literally get like 1000 scrolls in a minute or 2 doing this… and also at the same time not crash your game because the larger number of scrolls is divided by the lesser number and each scroll that drops will equal for X amount of scrolls… Hope this helped.
Whatever you do, don't do it with the Detect Life items on console. After 3 or 4 days of a brand new game, I got stuck with that damned glitch where I can't undo it no matter what I did. Restarting my quest of the Grand Champion, Guildmaster and Listener again. Eventually. Guess that teaches me to dupe lol. Next time I'll dupe only regular items instead of enchanted. And of course. Save an extra save file lol
for the most part you can just hold A on the scroll then press X on the item you wanna dupe and let both buttons go at the same time. Used to work with pretty much every item but its been patched so most items can't dupe this way anymore

I only used duping to buy the house in imperial city, just collect every scroll you come across in the tutorial while escaping the prison, you should come across one worth a decent amount that can be duped and sold. collect a couple hundred gold and go to the mystic emporium in the market district and buy multiple of the same scroll, use it to dupe the most valuable scroll you've got on hand. If the number of items you want to duplicate is more than the amount of scrolls you have it wont work. 1) Obtain 2 of the same scroll and one of any type. 2) Open your inventory and double tap the 2 scrolls of the same kind 3) Drop the one other scroll of a different kind. You should now have two of the same scroll you duplicated. Now follow those exact steps but with any other item and it will dupe it.

good trick is after you dup 1 scroll is switch and dup the other as normally your new scroll is more then the last soo scroll 1 dup pick up go to Scroll 2 dup pick up go to scroll 1 dup pick up ectra
this is why i love bethesda games there is so much bugs and glitches you can exploit that gives it such character except for 76 that was to much bugs and glitches.
I discovered this on accident. it is a common misconception that you need to have only one of the items you are going to duplicate dropped. All you need is LESS of the items you are dropping (and have them unequipped) After picking a lock I was looking through my inventory to confirm how many pics I had left. Habitually hitting x (auto pic) when picking I accidentally dropped the little things on the ground. Stunned that there was no confirmation of the number to drop. I ended up picking up 2 piles. one was something like 7 the other was 20 I think. I had a few left in my bag that did not drop and wound up with around 30ish. After realizing I had primed up my shadow scrolls (camo) to cast for a clean stealthy exit, before scrolling aaaaallllll the waaaay down to the picks. I repeated the process. When I finally discovered I had to double select the scroll and was able to repeat what I did before. So I looked into this online and sure enough wound up here. But much of the method is not needed. And lock picks are grafix intense. Method example say there are 100 scrolls and 77 lock picks. 77 lock picks dropped will yeild only a portion of them dropped maybe 25. When picking them up 4 stacks of 25 will be found and added to the 52 remaining for a total of 152. You can repeat this without closing your inventory if not all dropped. Just double click the scrolls again and drop more lock pics and another portion will fall. When picking them up off the floor they will be in stacks according to the number skimmed off and actually dropped. I personally preferred shadow over cloak as it is at the bottom of the scroll portion so I didn't have to "scroll" all the way back to top. So happy I found this out before I used the last 5 of my arrows of immolation.

Books and scrolls are mixed together at the top portion of the "misc" tab under [==Books==]. But scrolls are the only ones that work (as far as I have tested) Other merchants sell scrolls. However as far as I know, they sell based on your level.

You can duplicate as many you don’t need just one. You can have 7 and 7 double tap on one and drop 7 and next time it will double and do it back and forth I got 1k of each scroll in 30 secs.

It's a little weird but you just have to make sure the total amount you sell is under their "total" gold. In reality they have infinite gold but they wont buy anything that's worth too much. Try selling one at a time
Personally I do a bit of experimenting to find the max you can sell at one time, but on top of that some merchants won't buy the stuff, so find a merchant who does and you're in the gold

Some scrolls in the Emporium are free to yoink, so infinite gold once inside the Imperial City essentially.
You can also use the Dorian glitch for gold.......

Found a ring worth 1000 duped it now it says cannot equip at this time. What happened? Dorian work on ps3? Selling for 1000 takes forever

Haha ok so never know u could do that with scrolls.. I remember u just press on u arrows and drop the item and if u have like 10 arrows u get 10 items.. Was such a long time ago I played this game when it was released :3 just got it on my series s :3

I recommend you do this with only 2 scrolls.
If you dupe to a single item, with hundred of copies, it will lag ans crash the game
On my 360 it crashes after 1600 items
This game will always remain in my heart

Remember that you have to click on the stack of scrolls before dropping the item.

Where do you sell them to none of the merchants i go to have enough gold
It's a little weird but you just have to make sure the total amount you sell is under their "total" gold. In reality they have infinite gold but they wont buy anything that's worth too much. Try selling one at a time
Personally I do a bit of experimenting to find the max you can sell at one time, but on top of that some merchants won't buy the stuff, so find a merchant who does and you're in the gold
