Nikon snapbridge. How to connect to your smart device.

- Im using a Nikon D3400 to connect, but the process is more or less the same for any Snapbridge enabled Nikon DSLR
The Bluetooth option in the camera will be greyed out before this process is done, once the camera is connected Bluetooth option will be available.

When I press the bluetooth option in my camera's settings, it says "this option is not available at current setting or in the camera's current state" ( i have the Nikon D3400 ,too). Can you please show me how I can fix that?

I had that same problem, what I did was I went into my phone's setting and went to storage and cleared cache for the snapbridge app and it fixed everything
Just received my new toy D5600, after trying many way how is the correct way to use SnapBridge, right now the only way that works is only via jpeg! Until further updates, SnapBridge is not holding RAW picture please change it to jpeg or my advice and still working change it to RAW+ jpeg. Hope this help.

My camera say it's connected, it's a d3400 as well. But when I got to select pictures from the camera, no photos show up. I shoot in raw, if that makes a difference. For some reason the photos aren't transferring over to my phone from my camera. What is happening?
I would say delete all conections and set it up again, maybe something went wrong. Im not sure if it can transfer .NEF files or not, I haven't tried it. My gut would say it cant, as I doubt the phone could display them.
Raw transfers will not work....they are SUPPOSED to, but haven't found anyone who has successfully transferred one.
How to do it with nikon d5300??
Just got mine what setting will it let me turn my Bluetooth on the camera it says off right now on the camera setup menu button
+J sanchez click on the connect to smart device option in the spanner menu and follow all the steps. The Bluetooth and location options will then both be available and not greyed out. I have separate video on setting up snapbridge here. ua-cam.com/video/nQCmQ1DT-0k/v-deo.html
Can you tell me how to turn the bluetooth on? I have not been able to do that and therefore I think it is stopping me from pairing my devices.

Thanks Tom. I did that and I just get the hourglass when phone tries to connect. So, when I looked at your camera it shows that your bluetooth is on. My is not on and will not turn on. So, I was wondering if my bluetooth function on the camera needed to be on? Thanks for you time.

This app drained the battery pretty fast. Got connected at 13:02 hrs with 100% battery and from there reduced to 35% at 13:12 hrs. 65% burned in 10 mins!!
+Imroze Habib the battery wasn't 100% when filming this. I'd been using the camera for 3-4 days before this on it's original first charge. I don't know why the app said it was on 100% initially though.

Mine won't let me download to my phone after it's on my phone, it says I need to be connected with WiFi and I'm already on Bluetooth.
ive done all the correct steps but how come when i go to download selected pictures nothing comes up? and i also have photos taken too

I did it but failed again... In the video the bluetooth is on & on my camera it is off!!!!
+Gary Lineker Bluetooth is only turned on once you click connect to smart device and follow the steps. There is no other way to enable it.

+Alex Stava any wireless connection will kill a device battery quicker than without it. Turn it off in the camera menu when not using it

Tom Photoix Hi ! Did you film this great video in a few minutes ? Or did you use the camera a lot to kill the battery ? Because I also saw the battery level, going from 100% to 35%... and Nikon claims 1200 shots battery life... thank you for your answer !
+Alex Momo it was filmed over an hour or so, and the camera was on the whole time. I also noticed that the phone stated 100% battery when the camera had lost a bar on its screen. I wouldn't pay much notice to the phone battery number. If you use the camera and avoid live view, the camera battery will last for many hours. I've had the d3400 for about 2 weeks and charged the battery once so far and it's been used a hell of a lot.

Same here. I know it has the option for 2mp or original size, but I just can't switch from 2mp to original size, the original size option appears in grey, there is some solution for this? Because i have not find nothing :(
Ambar Luna only real consistent solution I found is not using the SnapBridge app at all. Just download on your computer. Love the camera tho!
