I agree on being a little surprised by the tempo but what a lovely arrangement and played so beautifully! I would also love info on the arranger if possible, thank you for sharing this!
Baptist Hymnal, 1991, #78 Glory to God: The Presbyterian Hymnal, #129 Otras bellas interpretaciones de himnos protestantes en: www.echarelared.co/p/adoracion.html
I think the speed is dictated by the arrangement. If the chording were heavier, a slower tempo would make more sense, but I don't think that's the case here.
@@michaelstacey728 I agree to Mr Nash, because the beauty of this christmas song and real character is the solemn with a contemplative calm with fervor, if you listen to the ( for me ) unbeatable old original choir set of Michael Praetorius. This here is a wonderful , colorful arrangement, but played slowlier and with more dynamic it would make me real gooseprickles!! ...but unfortunately not and by far not like the old Praetorius score. The secret is the simplicity of this old song and to much coloration like in this arrangement spoilers the calm contemplative charcater.
I think that’s the important part with having multiple interpretations. Hearing it the same way every time (although it may be beautiful) can get repetitive
This is just gorgeous.
Thank you!
French horn is great, congrats Katy Wooley.
cute Katy :)
@@BjoernLewin Katy's adorable, and plays like a goddess.
Most of us are here for the music. The rest is noise.
excellent, wonderful, good job greetings from Germany
Beautiful. Reminds me that I never should have quit the trombone and the trumpet before that.
Prächtiges Arrangement ! Grüsse aus Österreich

What`s the rush? Why the speeding?

Oh boy, that is way too fast.
No, it's just a bloody slow tempo from the source material.
This is played far too quickly!!
