It's not rocket science, it's hard and basically impossible to be good on defense without ever having any concussions. Don't like it, you can always play some'n else.
Head shots have been illegal for quite a while. If you notice, you see "FLAG" on the score bar or see a referee throw a flag for a penalty and possible fine. Hitting in the chest is still legal.
