I have a modelling office in bellandur , 4th floor employees all i had sent today including housekeeping , etc staff as part of community service i do. Total 350 members on roads , amazing performance. So far had sent 47 country members from different offices , continue to serve my dear Santoshini forever and ever , its a honor and privilege to involve in such things. Tomorrow i shall see if 3rd floor or 5th floor i can arrange , in same site or different site or city or country i need to decide.

Amitabh Kant puts it right, India’s digital model is inclusive, affordable, not overly governed, tested at a large scale and transparent technology. It is India’s soft power and a bridge to global south.

India needs to focus on transport infrastructure such as roads, expressways, bullet trains, metros and Hyperloop

We are doing that but digital infra has much higher ROI at this moment. So, we should double down there.

India needs to do something similar to build cloud infrastructure.
Just like Visa, Mastercard, Amex controlled payments, AWS, GCP, Azure controls cloud infrastructure.
All of Indian startups, govt agencies, big corps use cloud platforms. Relying totally on US companies can be huge strategic disadvantage.

Very good opening introduction by Amitabh Kant and why not because it is based on strong foundational developments in last 7 years however some of the questions by compere was too long. And thank god Indians voted for change in 2014 and reaffirmed it in 2019 because JAM and DBT has brought of an unthinkable and unimaginable social revolution which future generations back in awe all because of a leader with a vision for India and Indians the most ancient, continous, scientific, spiritual civilizational culture.

The comparative advantage and efficiency, which the gentleman talked about, is always subject to a geopolitical phase shift as we are witnessing today. Taking those as a reason for non-diversification of supply chain is, infact, lethal, which Amitabh Sir pointed out, rather than keeping the monopoly intact just in the name of "comparative advantage and efficiency". The comparative advantage and efficiency can turn the other way when the need arises, for instance, the Vendanta-Foxconn deal (semi- conductor manufacturing) which was previously thought unviable in India, domestic defence manufacturing, the tech-revolution like UPI, JAM, ONDC, Digital Currency, QUAD Vaccine Initiative, GAVI, etc.
And as far as the last point of "Cost" is considered, the investments and infrastructure, an economy transitioning to be manufacturing based as well and that too on a large scale, domestic appetite, raised standard of living, one of the fastest growing economies & projected to stay so, considerably less hits to the macros of the economy than some behemoths, a resilient base and the likes, are some of the elements which can provide an impetus to the cause of India's digital model at the forefront (cost-effective as well).
This, in turn, can help to other economies in need to create and amplify the revenue bases of their economies on one hand, while providing and cost-effective and efficient digital services on the other. And global finances are still not a thing of the past if intentions are genuine, for example India-WB/IMF/ADB Collaborations, etc, with a feasible economic plan and management.

Data centers consume huge amount of energy so not a bad way measure their capacity.

Though self reliant doesn't mean make each every thing indigenously to scale of completely for business expansion to cover globally but each everything manfacturing Atleast in small scale must be in India for innovations and R&D purpose. Similar to space, now as time comes it can open its wings but in case of chips industry and many manfacturing industries killed resulted single supply chain and innovaters resulted dependency

No. Let companies trade freely. By forcing companies to use India-made products (even if it increases cost), you'll be making company less competitive in the world.

*Dr. B.R. Ambedkar:* The allegiance of a Muslim does not rest on his domicile in the country which is his but on the faith to which he belongs. To the Muslim, Where it is well with me there is my country is unthinkable. Wherever there is the rule of Islam, there is his own country. *In other words, Islam can never allow a true Muslim to adopt India as his motherland and regard a Hindu as his kith and kin*
