I Love love love this video, honestly when people talk about modesty they love to put other women down for not being modest but that just discourages women from it. side note: I love your editing aswell!

yes exactly! i think modesty is great but it should be embracing everyone even those who may not fit the “standard”. and thank you so much for watching 🥹💗

i always find it shocking when women put down other women! like, we are on the same team 😭let's love each otherrrrrr lol. great video!! grace is the biggest thing with just our world- we really need to extend people soooo much more grace. modesty can be such a hard transition and we should celebrate people regardless- modest or not!🥴ALSO i might start doing what you do with old clothes, i just bring it to GoodWill but it feels like im throwing it away still

yeah Goodwill does feel like it’s being thrown away so that’s why i love thrift stores esp trendy ones because my old clothes may appeal to someone else in our age group and i just wanna be intentional so u feel it!

its crazy how society has been telling women how we’re supposed to look for so long & to have some women carry that baton on when modesty comes into the picture is honestly ironic lowkey! 😭 Modesty is a personal journey and conversations/deep dives like this really emphasize the mindset shifts that need to happen surrounding the topic of Modesty. Of course, great video 🤍 im biased though, i’ll listen to you talk about anything ☺️

If you are worried about the clothing they wear then give them clothes like a good Samaritan. honesty i think of clothes as Security cameras that watch Over your house.
And and people who don't have security cameras doesn't mean that you should steal from them. Because it's still illegal to steal from that house

If you belong to a church and they want you to be modest. Then they should give women a monthly shopping allowance.
I'm a biracial goth 48 yr old woman. I have been goth since highschool. It is a music, art and literature based subculture. However there is certain styles like traditional goth, romantic goth, nu goth, etc. I am very modest tho. But its because well i don't like my chest showing. The rest is from i think years of being insecure about my body. Some is style preference to liking long body con black dresses and the elegance. As well as long maxi skirts. Its the comfort and shield for me.
But what i wear and what mormons probably wear is subjective. Everyone has different ideas of modesty.
I'm not christian or muslim, not catholic or satanic or atheist. I have my own beliefs.

yes i believe modesty really can’t be defined and that’s why we shouldn’t hold others to our standard of it. i love that you’re a goth i use to dress streetwear/nu gothic in middle school and at times i still do so it’s always nice to meet a fellow goth dresser/gothic person

I like modest clothes not for the modesty sake per se but because they can be fun comfortable and fashionable. Im not christian and also i don't dress modestly (just fyi) and i would say my biggest issue with modesty culture has rly been the (ironic) sexualization of the body through it. I've felt that people who do have this very engrained modesty mentality will be so much less comfortable with especially women's bodies and sexuality in a way where it is slipping into shaming and unwanted sexualisation. But idk it is what it is everyone has their opinions and experiences ofc :)

i do agree that even when being modest, you are still specialized so it feels like no matter how we exist we can be seen that way, that could be a whole topic in itself
