  • Matt Gerald had strong Methodist Protestant roots, and when he married a Catholic, he hoped his wife would eventually join him in his denomination. A decade later, when it was clear she was remaining Catholic, and their son was preparing for First Communion, Matt decided to become Catholic, mostly for the sake of family unity.
In those early days, Matt didn't really understand the Eucharist, or have any particularly clear feelings about what was going on at Mass.
But a few years later, he went through something of a personal "Eucharistic Revival," and he shares how Holy Communion has become for him the source and focal point of his Christian life and his relationship with Jesus.

Comments were turned off for the Daniel Ali: interview. It would have been nice there if the prayer spoken in Arabic for him would have had the English translation in text available. It was an outstanding interview ... not much on his personal conversion tho ... and would have liked more of that data ... but the information on the outlook of the Moslem and his Koran was outstanding. Thank you for THAT video. I apologize for using the video on the Eucharist above as a means to communicate ... but no other option appeared available. Hope this gets through to the parties involved.
