One of the best things about this bag is the light weight. The bag is under 1kg. That is important when you need to be under 7kg with your carry on.
Thanks for watching 😃
-Eric
Really valuable review with pros and cons that give a good idea what might or might not be ideal.
I have the very first black hole with two zippers to open it like a clam shell. Has an internal water bottle pocket and great padding for the back. An excellent product. I wish they put zippers on the external side pockets as in Paxat.
I've used this bag daily for 1.5 years. Truly excellent.
What's your favorite feature? 🧐
@@PackHacker2 i don't think I have just one. It's got a perfect combination and size of pockets for me
Great stuff! Any idea when you will be reviewing the Patagonia MLC (30/44L) lineup?
Great video! Would love to see a review on the new MLC versions
Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll pass it along 🤙
-Eric
The handle is probably for attachment to wheeled luggage
Hi great review! between this model and the new black hole 32 model wich one do you suggest more and why? Thanks a lot!
Just got one of these. More interested in reliability, but you gave some good info, thanks!
Oh. And I'm not a big fan of the crinkley fabric. When it's not full, it makes a bunch of noise.
Thanks for sharing your insights! 🤙
-Eric
Thanks for the review! What size/brand of cubes did you use? They seemed to fit perfectly
Cotapaxi
Does the bag come with packing cubes? If not, where can I find the packing cubes that fit into the bag?
I really appreciate you provide your height, that makes a huge difference
Thank you for choosing not a black version!!! It's hard to see something on full black bags
Thanks for the insights 🤙
-Eric
@@PackHacker2 to add to that: sometimes a black bag on black clothing provides poor contrast for shots with the bag on.
How does this compare to the MLC version?
I’ve had this for a few years. And as much as I like the design I find it very uncomfortable when fully loaded, so I rarely use it anymore.
Thanks for sharing your insights 🤙
-Eric
Same here... when fully loaded, everytime I open up the main compartment or the small compartment, I feel like everything is gonna fall.
On average on wonder how many days this bag can hold for women for a shorter winter trip 🤔?
I had this bag for few months then returned it to Patagonia. As you pointed, it does cut on our butts! But not only, the laptop compartment isn't practical. I don't understand why Patagonia chose to make this bag so narrow and long instead of slightly shorter and wider. In my experience bad design
I am 5'6" and could never wear this pack as I have a 17" torso. The bag is 22" long. Maybe that's why it wasn't comfy. For a bag of the size, I would need more adjustability...Granted build also contributes.
I had a similar issue with a Matador hiking pack a few years ago. It was really disappointing to me. I no long have that pack anymore - for the same reason you pointed out.
Great review - where is the toiletry bag from?
Thanks for watching, Ryan! This is the Gravel Explorer MINI Toiletry Bag: packhacker.com/travel-gear/gravel/explorer-mini-toiletry-bag/
would it work as a personal item? (fit underneath the seat in front of you in a plane?)
The 25L is probably a better option
Is 32l size Good for daily Office use
No you need 50 liters dude
just FYI the new Black Hole bags coming out in Fall 2023 will be using a new recycled fabric which wont have the shiny reflective material these ones have.
Interesting news. That shiny material has kept me from buying this pack for years.
Got any links/more info regarding this? Would be keen to find out more!
bummer
I hate this type of fabric, i have patagonia blackhole mini mlc 26 and when you fold it to put in a storage, the fabric scuff and marks badly, 😑
Doesn’t look practical at all. Just lot of handle to carry but it is a backpack still !
I honestly hate this bag. The water resistance is terrible and soaked my laptop. I honestly wouldn’t recommend this bag
Could you talk any faster?
That’s rude!
Maybe you need to understand faster. It’s not her fault you have a mental disability
You can put the video on 2x lol
