Am I glad I saw this..! I've been running surplus Russian ammo (from 2004) in my 5.45 guns and had no idea it was corrosive. My two Bulgarian builds were fine, but my PSA 74 had a LOT of corrosion through the barrel, muzzle brake and gas tube/block. I'm so pissed that I didn't research this. Thank you..!
@gorka1455 so far they work great. No issues like I have had with the 5.56 AK mags, but I fixed those by just gluing the base plates on. It's only two out of ten that had a base plate proble. The AK12 style mags don't have that problem and have held up.
@@gorka1455 The version I had problems with had polymer baseplates. The newer version looks like it is metal which should be fine. I might have to grab a few of the new version to test!
It's been awhile P. I've not had chance to follow you, Hank, or Walt for over a month now. I've had an unbelievable wave of serious life going on. That was some cool AK action. I would like to see you do a video on cleaning the corrosive salts out the AK.
My Waffen Werks was my competition rifle for a while, Now it's a back up rifle due to the ammunition issue. Most ammunition types ran well in it including that 55 gr Barnual. The sole exception was 7n6 shot very inconsistently in it. Which is not an issue for me since that load is banned at the ranges I compete at along with one of the ranges I train at. My rifle also did not like Bulgarian commercial magazines at all, they turned it into a very expensive bolt gun. . Bakelites, Surplus Plums, Tapcos, Promags, Magpuls and two types of the the earlier versions of AC Unity all ran like scalded apes in it.
I have always loaded my mags to 30 I use the 15 round stripper clips and have never had an issue with feeding or feed lips cracking Iv left old bakelight mags loaded to 30 for years and the springs are still as good as they always have been I shoot so much 5.45 I have 7 different 74 variance and all kinds of different magazines never had an issues with loading them to 30. I never understand why people say load to 28.
What about doing the test that Military Arms Channel did on the 7.62x39 AC Unity mags? That would be cool to see. I ended up buying the AC Unity mags even though Mac advised not too.
@@BabyFaceP he dropped them on the feed lips and other drop test. I’m sure it was a bit overkill for real world use but I don’t know. It was interesting test of them. I’ll link you to it. ua-cam.com/video/gvXzi_N02Cw/v-deo.html
Doing a video about washing after corrosive ammo is a great idea
Nothing like literally hosing down my mosin after shooting corrosive ammo. Ahh the high-school days 😂

Just the channel I needed. 👍🏻
The mag I have works pretty well with a pod arms follower. nice OKP7 btw!
They have ak19 mag clones now :)
I bought five of these and will be testing them this weekend at a rifle match. I hope they work well!
Any news? Are they worth picking up or not worth the hype?

@@isaace8090 Sucks to hear that the AK19 mags are having some issues, but if it’s an easy fix I’m not gonna sweat it. Thanks for the update boss.

Good to hear from you.
Long time no see 😁

Dropping a loaded magazine on concrete seems like a practical test.
That Krink is badass!! Good video!!👍🏻
Now they just need to make these in 5.56 and they'll have a hot seller
They have AK 5.56 mags for sale now
Man, I would absolutely love to see these in 5.56 as well. I'd use em in my Beryl
I've heard they are bringing those out. Also head with a different follow these would work for 5.56.
I'd try em too, if they were 5.56, circle 10s for my Arsenal are like $50
They do work with 556 if you use a pod arms follower, I tried it last weekend!
@@Grizzly_Bear2018 Dope! Will try it once I get my hands on some
They have them in 5.56 now. Just bought some :)
Love it as always bud!
It'd be nice to get some clone AK12 and AK15 rifles out on the market one day
Sure...
Great to see ya back man!!!!!!!!!!
Great videos. Very helpful!
Def buying some when they're back in stock
Man, it's just frigging funny how you test them by hitting on the table🤣
Bros, what was that interesting optic on the plum 74? Looked weirdly cool.
OKP-7

Nice shirt!
Like your video got a question on your krink is that a Bulgarian or Russian ak74u, is your top hand guard loose or tight no wiggle is what I mean
Love the T-shirt! Where'd you get it at?
Thinking on buying one for my 5.56 AK and putting a pod arms follower in it
Great video
This also does not have the protruding pin along the base indicating a fully loaded magazine
My guess to the material of the locking tabs is some kind of zamak
"Practically abused" *spends 5 minutes smacking the feed lips against a table* lmao

Looks like the AK-12 mags took a page from Pmags
Man 5.45 is so smooth soft and nice shooting, it’s almost cheating at this point lol
Favorite round
Why wouldn’t you fully load your AK magazine? There shouldn’t be any issues stripping the round with the AK platform, unlike most AR rifles.
Sometimes the bolt will double feed because of spring tension
My front locking lug fell off... They're not on there well.
Holy hell, yeah that's a problem.
Good video
Great fucking t-shirt....
Ak 12/74 are chambered in 5.45x39
Good
Is that OKP7 any good?
Fookin great. Not as durable as a western optic, but the cool factor makes up for it.
No steel feed lips = toy. Buy mags with steel feed lips.
