And one of the creatures (the one that attacked Mark at the beginning actually!) Have hands that look very similar to a humans. Five fingers. I think you can tell what that implies....

Knowing nothing about the Mystery Flesh Pit, my brain immediately went, "The earth is an entire organism with us walking around on its skin, and the pit is just its mouth. No wait, it's more akin to a cloaca, or just a pleasure hole. And when humans go spelunking into it, the Earth shudders in pleasure creating earthquakes. At the same time, the Earth treats us like invaders when we go inside and attacks us via its immune system comprised of all those organisms, many of which are transformed humans themselves that act similarly to how vaccines work." Or something like that. I don't know. Earthquakes being Earth orgasms made myself laugh though.
My favorite part of the flesh pit will always be "The Circus Clown Chymus" What is that? Well, in the recent past of the Flesh Pit, a circus had set up operations right on top of it, and a group of clowns accidentally stepped in the wrong spot and fell into it. They were all then partially digested alive, fused together, and emulsified into a horrific, birthday cake colored meat statue.
What’s extra horrifying is that they survived the process. Just imagine feeling your body half melt and fuse with other people in excruciating pain for multiple hours
You forgot the part where they were sprayed with an experimental nullifying agent that was designed to stop them from being digested…it kind of worked I guess.

Always wanted to go there and see the wildlife, the “cave flesh” ecosystem and how it would effect its inhabitants evolution fascinated me greatly back then, hopefully the ecosystem didn’t get too messed up after the “awakening.”
I was there when the catastrophe happened, I was eight years old. When it coughed the fauna panicked and took my left leg. While I crawled around and bled out, I saw my mother and father fall deeper into the pit; into a section that no one comes back from. In that moment I had lost everything, so I made the decision to keep my family. I crawled further in and was lost to the pit. I died that day.

I'm so stoked that someone actually made this a game! 😭 Watching Wendigoon's video about Mystery Flesh Park is my favorite from him! This is like a dream come true 😄
I really hope mark playing this nets more interest for the mystery flesh pit. I desperately need a high quality dead space style game where i play as a park ranger trying to escape and evac guests from the doomed park on the day of the incident
It’s crazy how mark knows exactly where he is and where he is most of the time while if I were to play this game I would be like “oh a new part of the map” when I was clearly there already 😂
This game kinda reminds me of that old Magic School Bus episode where they shrink done and travel inside Arnie's body. Only it's a lot stranger...I think this game is someone's nightmare version of that episode.
I have a few questions about this game. Are the people that follow you people who have gotten lost in the tunnels before? Does light affect them because they haven’t seen it in a long time? Did they lose their flesh to the pit? Are the first aid kits for them? Was this all answered on the little paper that mark didn’t read? And unrelated does the Mothman like Baja Blast?
The people that follow you are most likely the mythical "Marrow Folk," which is canonically a cryptid within the MFP. It's spoken about in legend, but its existence has never been confirmed. It's said that most so-called "marrow folk" encounters are actually misidentified Gasp Owls. It appears as though this game has taken some liberties and made the Marrow Folk real.
I love and hate how every horror game Mark plays, the first thing he does is head toward the danger, even though he knows something bad is going to happen
I'm very happy to see Tyler is doing well. I get concerned from time to time wondering what he has been up to and glad to see he is out there adventuring.
I know the game is suppose to look terrifying, but then there is Mark making his usual reactions when seeing something unnerving which makes it 10 times more.
mystery flesh pit is one of my all-time favorite pieces of online horror media, the attention to detail, the very realistic take on capitalism (because of course companies would use a literal eldritch horror as a chance advertise), the uncanny vibe, the incomprehensible terror you get when reading the final timeline of what happened. it’s incredible and deserves so much love!
I didn't start a timer, but I did start thinking after a bit of time when tf the- oh and then it happened in the middle of the thought lol. Tbf though, I'm impatient and will watch the seconds on a clock often enough so ig I can actually tell time better then I thought

The copepods, which are the giant ones that are responsible for the human deaths, they have human hands, and they have learned to mimic human voices to lure you into feeling safe. Also, every human that dies in there will turn into one of the creatures, your own cells will shift and revert to that while you lay there as a corpse. After the transformation, you have no sentience.

I remember a while back I made a custom critter for the Mystery Flesh Pit Subreddit called a Scuttler, basically a fairly unique scavenger-type organism about the size of a cat or a small dog descended from a tadpole shrimp (triops, if you wanna google). Unfortuantely I nuked the file when I decided to leave reddit, but I still have the pictures I made somewhere.
My favorite cryptid (I know, no one asked) are the Fresno Nightcrawlers. Walking pants. How could that be threatening at all? But they’re trying their best to be spooky anyway. They are just the cutest, derpiest babies.
This whole video has just been an extended version of Mark singing "Doodly doo, sprintin' down the hallway, doodly doo, goin' to the door, doodly doo, I got a keycard- it's the wrong one! OH BOY!". Coupled also with his song "Don't know what I'm lookin' for, yeah, but I'm not gonna find it..."

@@skipskip342ameee, the content gods are good to us
That video is a masterpiece, can't wait now for a video game based off the monument mythos
Roblox actually already made a game about it. You can play as a tourist, or a ranger, or a tour guide, or the monsters itself.
But everyone is gonna use the excuse "it's just a kids game" and ignore everything I say so why bother?
@@MarcoAdventures yeah they did but it's kinda barebones at the moment and you need to pay to be wildlife, you can really only walk around the tunnels and can't even see any of the attractions, there might've been an update though..
The best part about this game is the undocumented humanoid creature that endlessly follows behind you(if you don't have a light), just makes me feel nice and cozy.
100% recommend Wendigoon for Mystery Flesh Pit story and lore. He did an AMAZING job on going over the whole thing. I always thought it would make an awesome game and movie, so happy to see someone finally did it. 😄
Does any of it involve harvesting the flesh to solve world hunger? I just get hungry watching this.
@@magnanimus9692 I watched the wendigoon video a while ago and I think there was a part abt ppl trying to harvest the flesh? apparently it didnt taste really well according to lore. so mayyybe you /dont/ want to eat this lol
@@mochatoastsalt Bah, nonsense. Just needs the right seasoning is all.
@@magnanimus9692 Are you slow?
@@mochatoastsalt that is correct, it was too gamy for people to eat but they still sold it in the mall. I personally dont mind a gamy taste so i would not say no to a Mistery Flesh Pit National Park burgerTM
Right around the time the weird not-person *thing* started sliding after Mark, I had thought to myself "hey, at least the creatures that are down here with him aren't ALWAYS chasing him"
But the way that THING just appeared makes me think that it's ALWAYS been making it's way towards Mark since the start of the game....
yeah, those things are actual stalkers
"Oh I hate that" -- Markiplier
fr tho, that is a truly awful concept..
I remember going to the Mystery Flesh Pit when I was a kid, back before they shut it down. Truly a breathtaking park, shame today's kids won't be able to experience it
My family visited it once about a year before it was shut down. I know what happened was super tragic and all...but I remember I was sooooo sad when mom said we couldn't go back
Always wanted to go there and see the wildlife, the “cave flesh” ecosystem and how it would effect its inhabitants evolution fascinated me greatly back then, hopefully the ecosystem didn’t get too messed up after the “awakening.”
I was born in the flesh pit, my parents were taking a vacation in the park and my mom went into labor.

Jumpscare list :] (Wip)
4:06 LIL' BUG.
10:58 Little guy. Big loud jumpscare.
12:32 Two loud static crackles.
15:30 Audio jumpscare. (Did not see the source, but it follows him.)
19:20 Sneaky long dude (not stick man.) makes a bit of a sound when he flashes light on it.
20:03 Stick figure guy, very mild jumpscare that barely made the cut. Just mark yelling at it.
21:46 The dude (Stick man) is back again.
22:26 The dude yells. Mark spooks a little.
25:55 *Mark* jumpscares the dude. :(
27:31 Mark sees another thing.
White thing appears at 28:07 killed by 28:15.
28:58 Thumbnail jumpscare. First real one.
30:25 Second death, npc shriek, Mark yelling.
32:18 Third death, minor jump scare, small Mark yell.
34:51 The dude scares Mark. Small noise. The dude grabs mark. The dude is crying. Someone help the dude. :(
The dude's character arc ends here. :[
I like 34:51 as the dude grabs mark his headset falls off and the dude releases him, then goes off crying.

I really hope mark playing this nets more interest for the mystery flesh pit. I desperately need a high quality dead space style game where i play as a park ranger trying to escape and evac guests from the doomed park on the day of the incident
Can we just give props to Lixian for making the that 90’s commercial very accurate to a real one, especially because he’s not even from America! 👏👏
It’s crazy how mark knows exactly where he is and where he is most of the time while if I were to play this game I would be like “oh a new part of the map” when I was clearly there already 😂
i know that Mark's movie isnt out yet,
but honestly if after it, he made a *movie* about the mystery flesh pit, that would be cool.
agreed!
Thank you, Lixian, for the double jumpscare (lightning struck at the same time)
This game kinda reminds me of that old Magic School Bus episode where they shrink done and travel inside Arnie's body. Only it's a lot stranger...I think this game is someone's nightmare version of that episode.
It's ahole other thing
Jarvis, expand and make them explode.
Also the one where they went into Ralphie when he was sick to learn about the immune system.
Mothman definitely likes baja blast
I love and hate how every horror game Mark plays, the first thing he does is head toward the danger, even though he knows something bad is going to happen
Better than delaying the inevitable.
He's just testing the limits of what he can handle as the protagonist. He's totally not a masochist. 😉
Markiplier calmly watching Tyler fall into insanity and witness horrors beyond comprehension before going into a game about it is hilarious.
I'm very happy to see Tyler is doing well. I get concerned from time to time wondering what he has been up to and glad to see he is out there adventuring.
I know the game is suppose to look terrifying, but then there is Mark making his usual reactions when seeing something unnerving which makes it 10 times more.
10 times more
100 grammar
I find the exhalation cycle very interesting, as it adds a layer of disturbing; knowing that this thing breathes.
24:34 Wow, Mark really hits those notes when frightened!
02:40 the sound coupled with the falling actually made my stomach jump into my throat like I was on a rollercoaster
Walking past something huge and creepy while whispering to yourself "what are you" is totally accurate
I like how Mark is so calm about his friend possibly dying in the intro
Thank you Wendigoon for bringing some attention to this concept of Lovecraftian horror
mystery flesh pit is one of my all-time favorite pieces of online horror media, the attention to detail, the very realistic take on capitalism (because of course companies would use a literal eldritch horror as a chance advertise), the uncanny vibe, the incomprehensible terror you get when reading the final timeline of what happened. it’s incredible and deserves so much love!
Mystery Flesh Pit is so good! Glad to Mark taking an interest in it

This is the first horror video in a while that has actually send a chill down my spine. It may just be my fear of bugs and the bacteria looking like bugs just freaked me out. This horror concept is really great 👻
The copepods, which are the giant ones that are responsible for the human deaths, they have human hands, and they have learned to mimic human voices to lure you into feeling safe.
Also, every human that dies in there will turn into one of the creatures, your own cells will shift and revert to that while you lay there as a corpse. After the transformation, you have no sentience.
Today I realized I’m getting old. Videos of yours have been a huge part of my childhood. I’ve been here since I was 9 watching the first amnesia upload. Thanks for your work and have a great day mark
