    - Whole spices: 2 bay leaves, 4 green cardamom pods, 4 cloves, 1 cinnamon stick
    - 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
    - 1 teaspoon coriander powder
    - 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
    - 1 teaspoon red chili powder (adjust to taste)
    - Salt to taste
