Tiller cam is killer kam. Lovely weather sorta. Good battle. 6th place is better than last place just say'n.
I saw a similar fleet race, couple of years ago. 25+ boats rounding 3 marks on Deep Creek Lake, MD.
I learned to sail on Deep Creek Lake back in my youthful days. Thanks for this video guys.
Brought back some good memories for me. In better weather conditions too I might add.
The America's Cup is starting in a few months, been following that sailing event since the 1960's.
Have become a fan of the F50 Sail GP series too. Speed over water by wind power... matters.

You guys were sure braver than I was that day. The sailing conditions that day look great despite the rain.

Once the 5 minute gun went off, it was hard to know it was even raining...too much excitement. As we returned to the club after race 2, it was very wet!!! Great to see you Jim...looking forward to seeing you at [Egyptian Cup] or [The Glow] or [NACs]. Bring your brother!

Did you notice you hit the windward mark?!

Oh? 😮 don’t think so, we would have done a 360.

We only discovered we hit the mark in the video. You're correct; the boom brushed the top of the mark. We didn't see it on the water or we would have done a 360. As we came around the mark we believed we left enough room not to hit it. No one said anything, so we continued on given our thinking we had left enough room. It truly was an honest mistake.
