Bart Rejman Yes, please do educate yourselves. WoC, Nihility, and The Negation is a great place to start. But this is like... for example: 3:56 Sounding good ... Ohh? Keep playing the same riff with no change up or anything? Well fuck... fuck fuck mother fuck. :/ Perfectly aware of new members and style, that's all good and well, I am a fan of that, but this album much like the last lacks a level of writing that I know at least Vogg is capable of, and I think the rest of the line-up is too. It isn't just a matter of personal tastes / quit complaining / blah blah blah... It's a matter of writing and content. It leaves a lot to be desired, and I would like to voice this opinion to perhaps invoke some more creativity and depth on the next album, not because I'm a whiny nostalgic cunt.

That's a bold statement to make on a band such as this. The new Decapitated, such as this is fucking awful imo. Lend an ear to their earlier material, "Spheres of Madness" "The Negation" and even earlier.

Organic HALLUCINOSIS (dumbass) is by far and away one of my most favorite albums from this band, as it should be for any Decapitated fan, most particularly due to the fact that it’s Vitek’s final release with the band. RIP 🤘But this band has done nothing but live up to his name since deciding to continue on, and this album is fantastic, just like Carnival Is Forever and Anticult. But like, seriously. You don’t even know the name of the album and you’re gonna talk smack? Okay, buddy

I've heared the most original and bad ass riffs on the last couple of Decapitated albums. I pretty much like their "changed style", and the new album, Anticult is killer as well. I don't really understand the hate towards their new direction, it's not that they started to play pop or some sh*t. I think a good band constantly evolves, and they definitely have found their unique style which makes them stand out of the crowd.

I've been listening to metal for 35 years and this is a fucking masterpiece. I blast it every time it comes on spotify. Great song to get your blood flowing in the morning or at the gym. I listened to it before an interview for a promotion 2 months and got it, no lie ha ha. Hoping for a show in the NYC or Philly area sometime.

Gotta love how that awesome instrumental riffing just goes on for a full 90 seconds. Nevermind the haters, bands evolve, and this is just the next step. So far, I'm loving all of it.

One thing I'll never understand about modern metal fans. They say an album is shit if the band changes their sound, but they also say an album is shit if the band doesn't change their sound. So, make up your fucking minds already, and stop complaining about it. It's a great album.
Jesus Christ, people love to shit on this band. Get off your high horses and accept the fact that they've changed. I'll admit, I miss their older stuff, Nihility being one of my favorite all time albums, but that was 12 goddamn years ago. Bands are allowed to change. Last I checked, not every album sounded exactly the same, but had elements from previous albums. This one just happens to have a little more influence from the CiF album, but that was a good album too. I love the old Decapitated and the new Decapitated, and Blood Mantra is damn good.
I love how the haters dislike CiF and they want Vitek back (RIP brother), when some of the songs (pest etc) from the album were written before the accident.
Finally somebody that got his facts straight, there's even a video of Vogg and Vitek on UA-cam (on Decapitated's channel) where they are practising Homo Sum and Pest. There you have it, evidence!
Personally I think Blood Mantra is very good but I feel that there's something missing. The drums are nice and pounding but I miss the finess that Vitek and Krimh added to the band when it comes to drumming. They said that the album is going to be more groovy and it is. But not like "Decapitated" - groovy that contains that Pantera influence. But the recognizable riffs of Vogg are still there. In my opinion, this album is almost as good as Carnival (yes you read that right, Carnival is better than Blood Mantra in my opinion). But they still can't beat my all-time favourite album by Decapitated which is Nihility regardless of its' thin production and overly triggered double bass!
To me, as long as they don't do something as vile as what In Flames did then they are still Decapitated ;)
***** Lies. winds of Creation is their best album. Nine Steps is one of the best examples of Tech Death metal there is.

I love Winds Of Creation too, but Nihility has something special to me which is why it's my favourite album. They have their own kind of Tech Death which is awesome, but being technical is not everything. I love both old and new Decapitated!

I understand when the old school death metal Decapitated fans are hating on the new material, because its absolutely fuck all like the early stuff and Im certain they should have changed the name of the band because by using the band name they are edging on false advertising imho but fuck me its still crushing stuff despite all the negativity that's being posted online at the minute, to me its Meshuggah meets At The Gates, and who the fuck could fault something like that!

I really like the sound of their instrumental style, especially that amazing headbang-part at 3:55 is just perfect! The vocals are pretty cool too, though not exactly my taste. But I'll listen to some more songs of those guys, definetly!

Reading the comments below I can tell, that criticizing Decapitated became a fashion. Most of you probably haven't even heard the whole album but are the first ones to judge. I was huge fan of them since their first release in 2000, and despite they change significantly since then, I can still appreciate their incredible music. BM is one of the most complex and divers albums I came across recently. From killers like "Exiled in flesh" or "Blasphemous..." to a dark "Blindness". They are evolving towards the way they've got the right to choose as musicians and if you can't accept it, just move on, and listen to something else!
The truth is that we'll never get the "old" Decapitated, since Vitek is gone. Same goes for Metallica, after AJFA they got commercial and shitty. Decap at least try to stick to the death metal scene. Vogg still remains one of the best riffers on the scene, so I am not that worried about them getting commercial, because Vogg knows that Vitek wouldn't like that

You yourself as a human being are not free because you are strongly bound to the materialistic world by the same needs as every other animal. You have needs and wants that can be easily manipulated by other people and this proves that you will always have someone who dominates your mind even though you don't even know about it. All around you should not forget who you are and what is your nature if you want to consider yourself to be more than the rest of the nature. I think this is what the lyrics mean and I doubt it's anywhere close to the meaning of nu metal lyrics from the era you mentioned.
Edit: And yes the sound is the essence of music, but I was pointing out how you thought that particular part sounded fake. And I believe decapitated isn't a commercial band that's trying to make music for people to like, they simply voice their opinions and into their albums they put music THEY like and THEY make, so I believe fake is the last thing this is.

I've loved the steady evolution of their sound over time. On The Negation, things got heavier and simpler and then they started to bring the groove on Organic and Carnival. Great albums, all of them.
Change isn't the issue here. It's the same style as the last two albums, but forced to fit into boring pop song structures.

To me, this is the only track that actually sounds like a proper song on the album... the other tracks are good but they are either to short or just filled with atmospheric parts to fill it out.
