What do you call a Boomerang that doesn’t come back to you ? a Stick 🪃
A rabbit stick or NRB…non returning boomerang. Hahaha
@@DonnyDustsPaleoTracksThat’s gonna catch on!!
You could definitely make someone think NRB is some foreign word it if ya say it fast enough lmao. "Enarbi"
@@notthatgood3626 hahaha. So true…I’m going to borrow that for the rest of my life. Thanks!!!
@@DonnyDustsPaleoTracks you can have that one for free 😂
Also build a six string bola. Easy and effective.
No doubt!!!
You actually remind me a lot of my mom in your passion for primitive living. She grew up near some canadian woods and one of her favorite hobbies was fishing in a river we lived near. You could always see the excitement on her face when she taught me about making pine pitch and fish hooks from hawthorne branches and the pros and cons of rod vs hand line
Gracias, mamá, you managed to do the impossible and instill a love of nature into a girl from the suburbs
And thank you, Donny, for bringing back a similar feeling to being at the river with my mom 🫶
But Donny, that stick looks NOTHING like a rabb- OHHHHHH yeah that'll do the trick.
Hahaha
Thats such a cool opportunity to learn primitive skills from the master! Would love to do something similar to that!
You should! I live teaching. I only do one on one courses!
@@DonnyDustsPaleoTrackshow can I get into one of your classes this is literally the kind of stuff I been wanting to learn but very few class teach it
I love rabbit sticks they are one of my top favourites when I'm hunting smaller game great video, all the best
Much respect and appreciation. Rabbits are delicious!!!
You sir are incredibly knowledgeable, I'm not familiar with primitive tools but I'm assuming based on the way you used it that it's a predecessor to the boomerang?
Appreciate you watching. Throwing sticks have been around for thousands of years and have a history of producing meals. It’s like a boomerang, but it doesn’t come back. 🤙
Aboriginal boomerangs are a local variation of this, they weren't supposed to come back but they were very useful for hunting flightless birds and small game.
@austinm.9832
They also show up in places like Egypt, Across Europe, Southwestern North America and Central America
Australian indigenous clans have been around for 60k years, I'm not sure any other human civilisations pre-date them.
Homo sapiens go back a couple hundred thousand years
Native sandpaper, i love it. So awesome!!
Thank you! Cheers!
Niiiiiice. Love the sand paper trick you used there. 😀
Thank you! Cheers!
I luv the fact that you make very effective tools the primitive way.fuken cool
Much respect and appreciation. Thanks!
Keep it up donnie. glad to see more and more views on your work. Whole worlds gonna need this knowledge soon. 🤙
Thanks! Will do! Appreciate your time and effort watching. Thanks.
You’re awesome!
For the smallest second my brain hardwired from comedy video dumps on YT made me think you were going to teach us and your student a very hands on lessson in the rabbit stick 😂😂😂 if you can dodge a stick you can dodge a ball 😂😂😂
That's incredible. Will you make a full video showing how to shape and aim it 🕊
Absolutely!
To experience this with you would be life-changing. No doubt
Love you dude such knowledge. Should come to Scotland some point I'd love to join you on a survival trip over here haha food for thought much love from the Highlands
Sounds great! I love Scotland and most of my family is there. All up in the highlands!
@@DonnyDustsPaleoTracks that's amazing I'm east coast 40 miles further and I'll be at the top. You ever are over it would be a privilege for sure
Really knows his primitive skills weapons etc. etc.
I know that student. He’s awesome!!!!!
Love your work and your way of medicine. AKA, your impact on people. If I may ask what place you are out of. Would like to sit and observe your knowledge in person. Keep it up 💪🤟
I’m out of Colorado but travel everywhere to teach.
@@DonnyDustsPaleoTracks well, if you're around Northern Utah, let me know 💪👍
I could watch you do anything ❤
Appreciate you watching!
Will we ever see a Yo-Yo survival tool?
I think so…it would be fun to make.
Where were you at? Location? It looks amazing!!! Arizona, Utah or Colorado?
Wait so do you have like a survival class? Id be really interested in that.
Beautiful place
It really is!
Wooden Throwing-Club
- Crafted with 1 Large Sturdy Stick
- Thrown weapon, slow return speed
- Though primitive, thr Throwing-Club is exceptional at attacking out-of-reach tsrgets.
Awesome what's the wood that you used?
White ash…a good wood for rabbit sticks.
A hunting boomerang because the real hunting ones only go one way
I wish I could do this.
You can…just shape the wood and throw it!
How do you became a student been following you for awhile now would love to have your knowledge of the ancients
Nice.
Also make a native copper axe.
Already done!
I love to make and throw these
How often do you actually run into venomous snakes/spiders/etc out there?
Not too often. It happens, but you just have to play the season.
I am a great stick thrower,,,,if your good you can even get two birds at once,,just got to know what to look for and when to throw
Can we get a video of this in action? That would be amazing to see
I flinched 😔
I just use my slingshot, but this is nice to know!
Brotha you are an inspiration and overall a legend your knowledge is amazing 🤌🏼🫡🇺🇸
Much respect and appreciation. Thanks so very much for watching!!!
Donny are you an actual university professor for early man / BC history or is that somebody you’re teaching how to survive in the desert?
I’m not a professor…I run a wilderness self reliance school in Colorado, New Mexico and Texas.
Student needs some beard and hair to grow 😅 asap
Hahaha
Rabbit sticks are crazy hard to hunt with, it can be done, but it’s hard hard work.. there are better tools… a bow would be the better option for me personally, but then again I’ve never built a bow..
Can you build a bow and craft arrows with broad heads? I’d love to see that video my friend..
Actual question: Are you Dave Canterbury and Cody Lundin's long lost brother?
Yeah I always carry sandpaper and whatever that stuff you wiped on it after was 😂
Student??? How do I sign up?
That is a boomerang
NRB.
Student? Not a rich man and living kinda far but I'd definitely take a week off to take a class.
Where do we sign up?
안녕하세요.
부메랑 칼 😮 👍🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
수고하셨습니다.🙇🏻🙇🏻👍🏻
Boomerang Knife…very cool!
Can anyone recommend a channel where someone actually uses a rabbit stick in a primitive camping situation to procure food?
Wait. You sell courses? I wanna learn.
I hope he passes on the Danny dust exam🙏
I would take his class over math any day lol
Ever been to rabbit stick in idaho in September
It would be amazing to see you get a rabbit and cook 😊
You ever going back on Alone?
Day N1 asking donny to make a star shaped stone mace
I just wanna know. You dont have to actually build it or anything.
But are you able to create a primitive small catapult?
All the natural processes then wax from a can?
Anyone who hunts rabbits is just too lazy to carve bear sticks
Next video!
@@DonnyDustsPaleoTracks 😁👍
A Boomerang
One of your students !? Is it an option to come learn with you ?
I teach people year round. When I don’t post for awhile…it’s because I’m teaching. I e been teaching since 2009. Thanks for watching
@DonnyDustsPaleoTracks Where do you go to organise time with you? I'm really interested! P.s always a pleasure to watch mate.
How much for a lesson?
Can you make “Peck and grind” ground stone axe/hatchet?
Done that as well…you need to catch up on some videos!!!
BONK
..i love the sanding technique, and like you shaved it thin, put a thin stone in the ends...
ƪ(“╰ _ ╯ )ʃ
I didn't know there was a intern program, I want in man what is this
I teach classes…it’s been my full time job for years now.
@@DonnyDustsPaleoTracks I've been watching these videos just to learn as much as I can about the real world here, Classes or not you have made an impact on my life, thank you for that. Where do these classes take place? I am probably too far away but, you never know until you try.
aye bro can you trap big foot
It's a boomerang. Don't know how you can just rename it.
Boomerang?
Rabbit stick!
Too bad we cant use those in Colorado.
Good thing I’m not in Colorado.
@@DonnyDustsPaleoTracks Where you at?
Can I buy one of your rabbit sticks?
You are from a different time
I think you may be right about that!!
Handy stick but still not as good as my beddywhippet, want to survive and feed yourself constantly get a good sighthound. Never be hungry
How do I become a student?
the don't have to be that perfect I've used a 2×4 with one end made into a handle and I've killed dozens of small game with it even geese and ducks
And calls don't hurt none 'cept the rabbit
22lr easier
And how does one become a student
Pretty sure that's where they filmed tremors at. Better stay on the rocks!
Bra you have to learn to throw a fast ball. Save them calories!
Hey if I send u some money could u send me o!e of those cool knives u make I love to collect knives and I have never had one like that it would be so cool
Now my question is why not just learn how to use a sling??
How do I become a student I’ll leave everything not even joking
