    I like how the crypt video was shot with a device that was manufactured around the same time as the crypt itself.

    Such a pleasure to attend a truly civilized and cultured chess event! The class and grace of the players present rivals the legendary style of gentlemen such as Capablanca and Morphy.

      Same thing as with the computer analysis, ignore the stats! If some people turn off after only 15 mins. then they're not learning chess. It's the ADHD kids who do that and they'll never learn anything if they don't have any patience and can't focus properly for more than 15 mins. Besides, you have lots of variety, like Gavin Thornton said and that's really good and gives people options if they don't want to watch longer stuff. Besides, your style is so entertaining, that it makes an hour seem like 15 mins. :-)

    • @gavinthornton1591
      @gavinthornton1591 6 років тому

      Analytically speaking you're probably right, but I think there's something to be said for looking at things in more depth.
      Anyway I'm a fan. I'm hoping to come and see you sometime like a fanboy! Is there a good way to keep up to date with upcoming competitions? I'm not even sure people are allowed to watch at events to be honest.

    Simon, 3. Nf3 isn't a Queen's Indian. It's just a position that can transpose into a Queen's Gambit later on.

    22:52 my plan instead would be to move my white bishop to a4 and then with my black bishop, attack the opponent's rook on h6. This forces a bishop trade and leaves the king out in the open just a touch. Is this a good plan?
