The D-Day Normandy Landings, 80th Anniversary- COD WW2 Part 1

- Опубліковано 25 вер 2024
- This is Call Of Duty WW2 a 2017 game made by Sledgehammer. The game follows the story of Ronald Daniels and his unit from the Normandy landings to crossing the Rhine during World War 2. The story is heavily inspired by Band Of Brothers and Saving Private Ryan. I wanted to play this game on the 80th anniversary of the D-Day Normandy landings when the liberation of France has begun. On this part Daniels and his unit storm the beaches of Normandy.

Thank you to all the soldiers who served and sacrificed so much to defeat Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan.
Eternal gratefulness to our heroes our idols our inspiration to protect democracy from the eastern powers aka the axis of evil
Best generation
And also in the gta verse, Brazil was so capable and powerful enough to handle Italy alone. Unfortunately this campaign allowed this fourth Axis power nation called Draka to conquer its land of Lemuria and East Antarctica. Brazil did its part in eradicating fascism in Europe. But unfortunately not on Lemuria.
My uncle Joe was in the Navy and was stationed in Japan he later got married to my aunt Connie and the next day everyone else except him died as he was not on the ship
If that's not luck I don't know what is luck
For those heroes pass on god rest their soul thanks for fighting for our freedom
If the option was given to me whether to spend a day with a WW2 veteran or a celebrity I would 100% choose the veteran. these men are our true heroes and I'm forever grateful for their service and bravery, happy D-Day everyone and once again to all veterans thank you for your service.
professional really juggling his playthroughs and respecting all those who died 80 years ago in a unique way. massive up to you mate.
Yeah playing the game on this day is paying respect. Have fun..
@@-majadebijna3292Shut the hell up
Happy 80 years to D-Day and THANK YOU to everyone who died for our freedoms.
Yeah lets play the game now. .. logic
@@-majadebijna3292 I don't see you doing anything
What did you and the russians to our women that time, hm? You are no heros. We learned from you... (Africans, Native Americans...)
for your freedom
Cod ww2 was such an underrated game
Facts still my favorite out of the new call of duts games
I like the campaign. I think the multiplayer is garbage though.
My grandpa served in the 90th Infantry Division in Europe. He was on Utah Beach on D Day and proudly served thru the entire war. So wish i could have met him
So that makes it right? He should have joined the antifa or black lives matta resistrans.
@@PuxiYou need to take this somewhere else. Clearly you have no respect for the men and women who gave their lives defending this country during this horrible war, and the fact you had the guts to say something like that to someone who had a grandfather who served in this war is horrible.
@@aaronsmith5223 My grandfather also served in war. See? No point in mentioning that. He should have rebelled against fashism. Joined the antifa or the black panther movement - a human rights organisation.
@@aaronsmith5223 And what did your grand grand father do in 18?? to the indians and africans? :)
@@Puxi So what you're saying is that these men shouldn't have even served, when their freedoms were jeopardized by evil men?
This campaign is underrated. Happy D-Day!
It is big time. I just beat this on veteran difficulty and it is a rough go since it doesn't have regenerating health.
This game harkens back to the first COD where you have to find health packs so there isn't any regenerating health. This game was a pain on veteran difficulty.
How fitting of you to do this in light of D-Day 80. I had been watching a lot of these tributes and history of D-Day. It's certainly something I'd like to see and not want to miss. I like to commemorate this so all to remember. I saw those surviving veterans in the 80th anniversary who are over in their late 90s to early 100s, which is quite astonishing but is tragic that they will be gone soon and something like this would never happen again. I can only give a respectable salute and thanks to them and all those who participated in D-Day. Cherish and remember them. Thank you to these brave souls who embarked on this noble crusade.
Fun fact about D-Day being the largest amphibious invasion in history and WW2 as a whole is that D-Day on June 6th 1944 was almost topped by the end of WW2 in 1945 when Operation Downfall was planned on mainland Japan but was cancelled because of the surrender of Imperial Japan due to the Little Boy and Fat Man being dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Operation Downfall was gonna be a massive amphibious invasion by the US going into mainland Japan and it could’ve been much worse than the atomic bombs because Japan would’ve fought till the very end and forcing other Japanese civilians to fight the US Forces and the casualties would’ve probably been much higher over time as the battle played out and would’ve surpassed the amount of casualties that the atom bombs did. The Atom bombs was like a necessary evil shortcut to end the war to end the bloodshed before it got any worse.
Hmmm. I never knew about this possibility during WW2. I always thought that the two nukes were the main idea to make Japan surrender. From a preservation perspective, this was probably the best choice. Otherwise a bigger percentage of Japanese history would be lost to the fires of war.
This really feels like a dillemma.
Take the fight to one more enemy in this war and defeat them properly, while also risking many more losses?
Or...
Annihilate your enemy with a weapon of mass destruction, and make them surrender out of fear?
26:22 that QTE minigame really reminds me of Call of Duty 3 that I've played on PS2 and Xbox 360 long ago.
Lest we forget. Interesting fact for you all, the first allied aircraft to have a confirmed enemy kill was a Supermarine Spitfire serial number ML407 & she still flies today, as a 2 seater (some Spitfires were converted to 2 seaters for the Irish Air Corp after the war).
Also the first allied soldier who died by enemy fire on D Day was called Den Brotheridge who landed on Pegasus Bridge
Medal of Honor Frontline to me will always have the best D-Day mission of any game and I'm grateful that you played it this time last year. I gave this game a lot of crap when it first came out, mainly due to me nitpicking the historical inaccuracies, but compared to Vanguard this is a masterpiece of historical authenticity. I actually would like to play it myself but I don't think its worth buying it alone for that.
I would just like to thank all the veterans who served 80 years ago. Your efforts and sacrifices made the world a far better place today.
Really glad you're doing this playthrough too, I think this COD campaign is pretty underrated. Its one of my favorites in the franchise.
Were going back to WW2 with this playthrough
Another fact about d day a lot of people drowned due to heavy gear. This was either due to shrapnel or just other Higgins boats stopping the next wave of Higgins boats from landing at the beach. When soldiers would jump over the sides, they would not know how deep the water was. Their gear was already heavy as is but the water would cause it to weigh even more and many of the people didn’t know how to swim or get the gear off quick
Ww2 is probably one of my favorite cods. I really enjoyed all the aspect of it with the good maps in my opinion and good feel. Have good memories of playing this game all summer.
Happy 80th D-Day anniversary Pro and thanks to everyone who sacrificed for our freedoms
I noticed a raise in his voice trying to talk over the music in the menu!
No mission too difficult, no sacrifice too great.
I'm excited to see that mission because I love that quote when Turner sacrifices himself

Glad your gonna play through this! I loved this game so much and I’m glad your gonna play it
Call of duty WW2 will live on forever
This game sucked
@@The_Punisher go cry me a river
WWII is definitely not the best cod game but it is pretty underrated, campaign was pretty fun and while the multiplayer is flawed there is a lot of fun to be had
@@The_Punisher Still better than most cod campains.
Was great game, I enjoyed everything on that game, camping, multiplayer, zombies was good too
New Mexican fan here Sr! Been watching a few videos. And its awesome how you put some relevant information about the stories of that wars. Greetings from Monterrey,MX
I remember back in 2017 completing this campaign on veteran it was pretty easy it’s not like cod 4 where they just spam frags none stop this one was different then most call of duty campaigns in terms of difficulty
I love the music in this game
Oh wow i had just finished my cod ww2 story on veteran mode for the 2nd time and now i see this, easily one of my favorite cods ever made and some of the best graphics ever
2nd time? Wow. I was happy doing it once on veteran. I'm trying to do every COD on veteran either before Black Ops 6 releases or by the end of the year and that means doing the original COD on veteran.
@dicloniusgames it was hell ill tell ya that much lol, but im hoping bo6 will be good
The Best COD alongside COD Cold War & BO3 of the past decade
My great great grandpa, happy or Papa I don’t know served in the Navy he got out alive to this day. My grandma and grandpa have things he used in the Navy in a glass case with a wooden frame one day. I will have those things too. they said they would pass it on to me, or I had asked him.
Call of Duty WWII IS STILL MY FAVORITE MODERN CALL OF DUTY till this day. It's not close. A true top 5 call of duty game. Reminds me so much of Call of Duty Finest Hour and World at War 🔥🔥💯💯
We should express our thanks to those who sacrificed themselves to defeat tyranny and evil. The world would be a horrible place today if these brave people weren’t here. 😢
Also, if you do some digging online, you can find some air checks for news reports from the radio on the D-Day Landings.
You know what time it is... THROWBACK TIME!!!!!
Fun fact: Pierson is voiced and motion captured by Josh Duhamel the same actor who played Lennox from Michael Bay's Transformers films and Fergie's ex husband.
From what I heard, there won't be anyone left who were actually at Normandy on that day of days for the 85th anniversary.
Thank you, all veterans who served & gave their lifes so I could live in this great free country. 🇺🇸 God bless our troops. May the soldiers who gave their life rest in peace.
Love to you my friend from Russia
My grandfather was in the red army, fought in the Battle of Dnipro ):
I can't remember at the moment who told me this, but one time, I was told regarding D-Day that if the Nazis couldn't hold the beaches of Normandy, they weren't gonna be able to hold the rest of France...
That being said, I can't begin to imagine how different the remainder of the war would have turned out if D-Day was a failure.. and that makes me all the more thankful that it wasn't.
Anyway, I played thru this game a while back on my PS Plus subscription, and i personally think it's one of the better CoDs i had seen in a while.
I remembered when the game came out and got it as a Christmas gift, the good times.
i remember you playing this back in 2017 but now you remake this into a better walk through and better content. Love it! keep it up man
Alright!
COD WW2!
I got to say, the campaign might be one of most underrated COD campaigns.
I think COD WW2 is better than COD Vanguard.
You should play the early MOH games like European Assault, Rising Sun and Aliied Assault.
He already played rising sun. Look his previous video in 2022
@@mrpoetoe3609 Oh yeah I forgot about that one.
To all veterans that have served our country, thank you for your service. And thank you to the veterans of D-Day for saving the world from tyranny.
21:06 M30 Luftwaffe Drilling actually does have the option to load the rifle bullet in this game, just not by default. Unfortunately It's either MP exclusive or maybe it is possible to find in the campaign but you'd need to find one with the attachment equipped
Another point i want to add. The actual aircraft that led the main allied invasion fleet on D Day was found in the boneyard at Basler Turbo conversions. It was a Douglas C47 Skytrain called That's All Brother. It was restored & is now part of the Commemorative Air Force & is now flying over the beaches of Normandy again to commemorate those who fought on D Day.
While i think World at War and Call of duty 1 and 2 hold the throne for being the best ww2 games, this one is still better then vanguard.
Amen
Happy 80th Anniversary to the Veterans and a moment of silence for these amazing superheroes 🌺
What i like about COD WWII is the new feature where whenever you get shot, your health doesnt regenerate and you have to rely on your health packs you have.
It's not even a new feature. Health bars were a thing in the first Call of Duty game.
@alixon5009 it was new to me at the time at least when I first got the game. I forgot to mention that in the first sentence of my original comment
@@ThatGuySarabia No worries. The health system in WW2 didn't seem as bad. They were quite generous with health packs compared to Finest Hour and Big Red One. And I'm talking about the normal difficulty, not veteran.
This was my first CoD game! I got it free off ps+ a while ago.
Playing split screen 1v1 with a buddy on this game was really fun. There was a way to make it so you would get a random weapon every time you switched weapons, which was interesting
I also got off ps+ a while ago
My first COD game was COD 3 and when I was little I remembered liking Huxley a lot plus the French storyline as well
Thank you professional for making videos on this series.
Movie actors can be replaced with another actors but WWII veteran cannot be replaced we are thank you for your sacrifice and service for this country
Quite a lot of playthroughs you got going on, but I'm all in for it.
This Call Of Duty is so underrated
80 years later, never forget ❤ rest in peace Grandad
You could use the Drilling's rifle in multiplayer though it's treated like an attachment.
You should play COD world at war. Shows the more real brutality of how war is
I hate this thing with Hollywood and western media who portray America as the hero’s. The British and Canadians did just as much on D Day. Not only did the British have two beaches. Most of the boats and planes was RAF and Royal Navy. The first victory in Normandy was the Pegasus Bridge captured by British paratroopers before any Americans had even landed. It was also the keep bridge to Normandy and was vital. It was also the first loss to allied life. Not enough credit get spread around for what those men went through. To all the men involved we remember you. The celebration in France and the UK have been amazing and warmed my heart. Respect to everyone American British and Canadians who landed. And the rest of the allies who was fighting around the world,
You’re surprised that Hollywood, an American establishment, is biased towards Americans? WOW!!!! Color me shocked 😮!
And the British do the exact thing when they don’t give credit do the polish pilots that defended Britain in the Battle of Britain or when they pretend that Alan Turing did all the work in cracking the enigma code when the poles had done most of the work already.
Hey Professional after this do a walkthrough on Operation Flashpoint Red River please.
Happy D-Day !!
Yes the Teacher Mr Professional plays call of duty WW2
38:50 This part when he said about this generation, I'm truly 100% agree.
You're gonna get pressure scheduling all these games to playthrough....
Love your playthroughs, man! May the wings of liberty never lose a feather.
Good to see your playing this again. I’ll probably watch some of his while I’m in Switzerland (on 6 hour downtime btw since its a connection flight)
i love this game's campaign so much, its mp though not so much lol
This is a good WW2 game
Pierson reminds me of the senior officers in Commando comics
Are by any chance talking about the Howling Commandos?
@@chrisphelps4552 no its a British series of pocket sized books. a young/new soldier joins the Section,A senior gives them a bad time, turns out the bad one has trauma from an earlier battle and has a redemption arc
I saw a comment somewhere about someone's grandpa who was hit by an mg42 and survived. His leg was amputated, and he ended up marrying the nurse.
i remember your play through back in 2017
I did appreciate the return of the health bar
i think during the air bombardment in dday, most of the bombers missed their targets but im not sure why
edit: also i think mg3 uses a different bullet instead of the 8mm used by mg42
Turn back the clock! Considering where COD was at the time of its release, this was a nice change of pace from the futuristic shooters. However, the games narrative decision of limiting the use of the swastika for no other reason than commercial marketability is something that still bothers me today. Nevertheless, for a Band of Brothers cop out, this is a massively underrated campaign.
I ve been waiting for you to play this its amazing
Pro is on a roll with the walkthroughs!!! 🔥
Most underrated cod game
Thanks for the video Professional! Thanks for the salute to those we lost that day!
Kasserine was the US's first real engagement with the Germans. Unfortunately for them, said German forces were part of the Afrika Corps under the command of Erwin Rommel, the Desert Fox. I don't need to tell you how badly the American forces were beaten do I? Well, it will serve as the backstory for the squad commanders, but I won't say anything else.
PPSH was actually confiscated by German troops for faster SMGs and cheaper made SMGs at that.
I heard from somewhere that Manifest Destiny era America was a major influence on how he envisioned the invasion of the USSR playing out so him staying up late watching Westerns makes some sense with that in mind.
You should do the world at war walkthrough cosplay as well
You should play the brothers in arms games
I played this game on June 6th all the way through
this campaign is criminally underrated
The MG 3 is also used by NATO and even gave it the name. It also fires 7,62 (i think) not 5,56.
Pro back at it again with the great gameplay and great cosplays 💪💪
Call of duty 2 also has a d day mission
I think the Incheon landing in Korean war is the same as the D-day in Normandy.
I remember this cod i loved this cod
Happy Birthday TheProfessional 🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈
Pro always has the best costumes
2:19 I would tolerate Vanguard if the story was fictional in an alternative universe of WW2, like Wolfenstein series. Because I liked the concept of 4 soldiers from 4 different factions working together as a team, almost like the main protagonists from zombies (Dempsey, Nikilai, Richtpfen and Takeo), but the execution was awful. Not just in the inncaurate weapons, but also the storytelling.
This cod campaign is man underrated I would rank it second best ww2 campaign cod has made first is obviously world at war is just way better imo
June 6th 1944 80yrs to the day 🙏
18:30 eh pro it can be entirely true remember those guys are Eastern Front veterans so it's possible they had carried guns like these and as a trophy they took it with them while relaxing at France said part is they didn't have time to relax at all.
Respect
@9:50 In the Beginning of Operation Barbarossa, Stalin was actually woken up by his generals, Zhukov, I think, when the German's invaded because mind you the Germans invaded Rudsia at like 3 in the morning. Side note: Stalin also liked Western movies
The true heroes!
Finally another call of duty video!
Wasn't the MG42 designed to have the barrels be changed quick and easy? Because that would help with the overheating.
Yes it was
Happy 80th D-Day
I think COD WWII is one of them most over hated COD games of all time.
Cod black ops 3: just smile and wave boys, smile and wave
@@Crying_dogBo3 was goated. That game was 10/10 even with it’s flaws lol.
WW2 is one of the worst CoD’s ever made. *HOWEVER* I’d rather play WW2 for the rest of my life than Vanguard. Vanguard is *SIGNIFICANTLY* worse.
Thank you for doing a playthrough of call of duty wwII and i agree the campaign is better than vanguard
