    Thank you very much for your advice. 😊
    As a beginner with Ableton Live, I wasn't sure, if the suite-version is the right choice for me.
    But you confirmed my impression that it's maybe more satisfying to get more presets right at the beginning. For creating new sounds in a new program can be a bit intimidating.

      Just beware that limitation breeds creativity. So having more options does not always improve produiction. It's a common fallacy to fall into and hoarding plugins ensue. I recommend experimenting with everything, find the tools you enjoy and stick with it to really learn them. Then you can expand over time, but it really is not necessary to own too much gear. EQ, Compressor, Limiter, Reverb, Delay, Filter. That's all you need at first. Master the basics :)
      The only plugin I would recommend is a quality limiter. Besides that, all the ones inside Live do fine for production. For mixing and mastering you might want to look into third-party, but honestly at first it's not necessary.
      This same goes for production. It's easy to want to add 1000 plugins and sounds. It's largely unecessary. Fewer tracks, more focused elements and simpler songs will be way easier to produce, go quicker and will actually be finished. Finishing is crucial habit to develop early on. I could spend up to 8 months on a track and never finish them because they became so complex the projects would constantly crash, would require bouncing down etc. Simple is not easy, but it's better to listen to.

      @@JamieR Yes! love this! Yes we can often feel overwhelmed with the amount of options that are available. What do you think of the new limiter in Live 12.1? It much better!

    I can read the website myself, would be helpful to actually show the devices you are missing if you don’t get suite for people like me who never used Abelton

    That means if I just change the DAW for workflow changes and have been working more with 3rd party plugins than with stock plugins for some time and now have a far too large preset and sample library, I can actually save myself the suite and use the standard version. For newbies, Suite is definitely not bad at all, considering the material it comes with. To be honest, i dont think the price for suite is that mutch if you see whats in it. I'd rather not calculate what I've spent over the last few years xD
    Btw, good video and straight to the point

      That’s right, the only thing your missing is stock instruments, audio effects, packs and samples. If you already have lots of these you can save yourself some money 🤑

      cost compared to other daws is through the roof for suite

    Big reason why I prefer Logic. $200 gets you everything and the kitchen sink.

      @@pushpatterns I’m pretty new to Logic so I don’t have enough experience to have perspective on that. But I am impressed with how much stuff it has. I’m also learning Ableton but I only have the Lite version. I like Abletons drum loops more though.

      You got the right idea, both DAW have strengths and weaknesses. It sounds like you have got the best of both worlds! Logic is better for guitar sounds but yeah Ableton Live is better for loops

    Roar only being in suite is a swift kick to the nuts. I mean, it really doesn’t matter if you get standard you can always upgrade later.

    I have a large collection of vst that i have been using for years, and never got along with the instruments interfaces of the live stock. Drum rack absolutely hate how its layout. TO me it just seems over complicated. Most are decent to good for stock fx but there are better out there. I bought standard with the max for live from Thomann on black Friday for less than live standard alone.

    So if I have Live 11 SUITE and than I choose to upgrade to Live 12 STANDARD will I lose access to the devices I had in Live 11 SUITE?

    • @pushpatterns
      @pushpatterns  4 місяці тому

      Good question! You won’t have buy the whole ableton live licence again you just pay an upgrade fee and you’ll get Live Suite for less than the paying full for standard 12

    No sampler?! Something that every Daw should have right off the bat regardless of what version you own? I feel like lite should have the sampler as well 💀

    • @pushpatterns
      @pushpatterns  2 місяці тому

      Hey! There is sampler, but not the instrument called sampler. The simpler and drum sampler. But they are not multilayer samplers

    i feel really ripped off the amount of basic and i mean basic stuff missing from Standard is terrible. i own logic and bitwig, live costs for suite in comparison is massive. what i get in the other two is way way better per $

    • @pushpatterns
      @pushpatterns  2 місяці тому

      How much is Bitwig theses days? Logic is good value for money but the live loops doesn't really compare to the qaulity of Live.

    This is just a complete bullshit discussion, seriously. And you know it. Ableton Live and Ableton Push was from the ground up designed to be the Suite version. Any other version is just Ableton artificially squeezing your balls to make more money to a bigger demography. They never even bothered to optimize GUI and workflow for the lighter versions and there's not single Ableton tutorial out there for those versions. It's a scam really. So you either pay for Ableton Live Suite or you use a cracked version until you can or start making money out of it. Which is ethically a perfectly viable option IMO. Ableton Live Lite, Intro, and Standard is NOT wat Ableton Live is about.

    • @pushpatterns
      @pushpatterns  5 місяців тому

      I disagree I think that it’s great option to have cheaper options. The standard version is the same as suite minus some instrument and audio effects. And intro is great option for students to get started with ableton. I do agree intro and lite are very limited but the are great entry points
