After doing this, he gained a connection to Mewtwo, causing a *strange ooze* (supposedly a Ditto-like lifeform) to come out of his hand whenever he was too far away from Mewtwo.
The one at the end about BK and the Pokeballs killing people is actually the reason almost every plastic toy that could fit around a child's mouth and noes is now manufactured with 3~4 little holes at the base of the item. It's so if a child does something dumb like this again it can't form a seal due to the extra air flow or if it does somehow get stuck they can still breathe while it's being removed. It's also one of the earlier instances of modern conflict involving bad parenting that didn't involve TV or Video Games and is why a lot of TV channels ended up having commercials telling parents to pay attention to their kids or some such.
I still have my Pokémon toys from BK, sad knowing those were the best and ahead of their time. Now don’t me wrong I like the cards, I have a few of the gold ones, but the figures were a true bliss.
It's crazy imo that parents called out BK and Pokemon for this pokeball shaped toy being dangerous. It is very unfortunate that a kid died because of them, but the toys design wasn't the cause of death, it was the wrong use of the toy. A child can always swallow a toy or put something over their face, it's up to parents to keep an eye on young children.

About the ghost girl bit at 16:29, funny enough, she makes another appearance, although this time, it's in the mobile spin-off game Pokemon Masters EX, and it's revealed that her (or if there are multiple ghost girls like her, "this specific ghost girl's") name is Helena. And she's not really depicted as that creepy as she was in the mainline games, just obsesses over creepy stuff.
Such a weird direction to take that character, i really thought the ghost girl would come full circle and be a big bad in a later game or something. Cool she appeared again but almost dissapointing
It's not the same girl, in Pokemon XY if you talk to those girls after battling them you pretty much get the idea that "Hex maniac" is a subculture, like goths. They dress similar, have similar hobbies but it's not always the same people. Plus, the one in Ex isn't a ghost.
PokemonmasterSEX is as cannon as: 1) Mr Mime being Ash's dad 2) there being 10 gym badges in kanto (mind you only 3 of the 10 badges were from the original 8 kanto gyms so 7 bonus gyms) 3) N being a Zoroark In other words pkmnmastrex's story is crap (just look at the pairings in this game do they ACTUALLY make sense to you??)

Here's how to get back at Mindy for the Haunter thing. Take the trade, but before that, teach Medicham Strength, Rock Smash, Detect, and Protect. This gives Mindy a Medicham with two dead slots and she'll have to waste time changing Detect and Protect to other moves.
Even better. Make it super petty by leveling it to at LEAST 53 so it's passed all it's level up moves. That way, she'll have to go buy TMs if she wants to teach it something else. lol

You should have mentioned Pokehell. In glitch city, if you do a certain input command, you can enter “Pokehell”. Basically, Red will start falling infinitely while text boxes and whatnot pass you. It’s really creepy
The sad thing about the Porygon anime ban was that the Pokémon itself truly did do nothing wrong, as Pikachu was the one that caused the explosion. But, of course, you can't ban darling Pikachu from the anime, so Porygon got the blame.

I lived right in the heart of Boston in summer ‘16…. It was an experience I’ll never forget. A cultural moment that I’m sure my kids will ask about. I worked right on Boston Harbor next to the aquarium and had a poke stop and I just sat there all day catching water types and just battling. It was a blast. What a time.
my first ever shiny was a shiny Gastly I encountered in Pearl. imagine by shock and horror when I discovered what shiny Gengar looked like. so I just kept her a Haunter forever because shiny Haunter is infinitely cooler, until I caught a new one in Sword that is named Noodle.

The Kabutops and Genesect theory can make more sense now with Scarlet and Violet as they introduced Paradox pokemon (which is somewhat like Genescet pokedex entree)

I still hate how everyone blamed Pokémon go for everything when it came out. The game didn’t cause people to play while driving or to play in the holocaust museum. Thats entirely on them. Content creators have a funny lil thing they do in many videos; they misspell, mispronounce, or mix up things on purpose as to bring more comments and thus more traffic to their videos. I see it everywhere nowadays. in all honestly i think its genius, considering how many keyboard warriors there are today, and grammar police and people who just want to correct others who would otherwise never comment in the first place.

As someone who has been a fan of Pokémon since Red and Blue came out (I was 7 years old then) I hated the 2016 Pokémon Go craze.. so many of the people who would have made fun of me for playing Pokémon, were now all into it. I’m so glad that it was just a passing fad, as far as being THAT popular. Pokémon Go has come a long way, and is so much better than it was back then. If your anything like me, and stopped playing it back then, or just haven’t tried it in a while, it’s definitely worth checking it out again 👍🏽

Pokémon go was a wild time for me. I live close to nyc so some days on weekends I’d go to the city for better Pokémon and more pokestops. One guy would scream charizard and u would see literal hundreds or even thousands of people from ages 8 to 25 running through Central Park trying to find it. Miss those times tbh

Thank you, for being one of the few ppl that I started watching that actually cares about their viewers, that doesn’t show the full effects of that episode that caused seizures, I’m seizure prone and when I watched it earlier this year, it flashed so violently that my phone had to be tipped on it face and I was still seeing the lights go off like crazy, and I really thank you for that bc some ppl show the whole thing and don’t slow it down, not realizing that if there is someone who can have a seizure, I wasn’t warned when they showed that video, so I really appreciate that you slowed it down so I could actually see it, bc this isn’t the first time I’ve heard of that episode and I couldn’t even watch it on UA-cam when someone posted it, they didn’t even put a seizure warning in the vid either, but was talking about the lights and showing the full effects of the episode but not even slowed down like you did so thank you.

@Porder there is one theory I noticed when researching Pokémon creepy pasta when I was five. When beating the original Pokémon games and returning to lavender town, going to the top level you are met with a trainer when you click on the gravesite a trainer who has level 80 Pokémon is said to take away the player into a ground if the battle is lost. This creeped me out but got me to do some more research. The trainers name is also buried alive… so plenty of smaller theories proposed off of that. With a creepy png based of off it
the editing in this is amazing, but a bit of friendly constructive criticism, sometimes your speaking audio gets completely drowned out by the sheer volume of the sound effects so please find a way to equalize that. other than that though im only like 5 mins into the vid and im really impressed by the amount of effort put into this. looking forward to seeing your sub count grow :)

Some things about the Gamecube games I personally find kinda interesting: In Pokemon Colosseum, there's scrapped text for a bunch of Shadow Pokemon that aren't in the final game. They consist of Spoink, Psyduck, Baltoy, Mightyena, Castform, Porygon2, Breloom, Lunatone, Solrock, Roselia, Chimecho, Minun, Electrode, Snorunt, Teddiursa, Corphish, Spheal, Sandslash, Magcargo, Kecleon, Whiscash, Xatu, Wobbuffet, and Wailmer. In Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness, there's scrapped starter data that gives you a Vaporeon and a Jolteon right off the bat, as opposed to the single Eevee you get in the final game.

In regards to the "How do trainers have Pokeballs if theyre wearing bikinis", the anime solved this. Remember, Pokeballs can shrink from baseball-sized sphears to little marble-sized spheaes that we'll call "Travel Mode", and the world of Pokemon has made clothes and accessories that can hold Pokeballs while theyre in travel mode, like Ash's belt. In the anime, they have necklaces, bracelets and gloves that the Pokeballs can hook into, so swimmers can just wear one of these and have a full party on them out at sea with minimal clothing. In regards to the Sun and Moon trainer not shown wearing gloves or bracelets, lets say she's wearing an ankle or thigh bracelet, since she's drawn from the waist up, or maybe its a hair accessory not shown in that shot. Problem solved!!!

When you read the Pokémon adventures manga, they explain that the gym leaders and the elite four are made up of crime bosses of team rocket, Agatha literally attempts to kill red. Surge is one of Agatha’s Generals. Same with Sabrina and Koga, Blaine is a scientist working with team rocket.

As a former Pokemon Moder, I can shed some light about the Shiny Entry. They are in fact manually colored. In Gen 3, the shiny pallet of a pokemon is the next byte over, and aren't arranged in the same coloration as the original pallet. That said, the pixel placement of each color is one to one, but it's not hard to swap colors. It is possible they could have use an algorithm to select the color, then color it in themselves, but the problem with that theory is shading and color correction. It'll just be easier to make the pallet and call it a day. As for why generation 2 had so many green colors, I do have two theories of this. The first one is no backlighting. And the second one is for those who play on the regular game boy. (It's a little known fact that gold and silver are backwards compatible.) In both instances, the green color is very noticeable, especially on the Gameboy color since each pixel is an RGB display with green being the strongest color. The regular Gameboy would display green as a lighter, more transparent color, making the difference striking.

People with epilepsy should be to blame for choosing to watch a show with a warning about epilepsy and bright lights. 36:11 Pokemon go has been so big that it overshadowed the console games of pokemon, and I wouldn't call it a 'tragedy'. It was a huge success for Pokemon. Some major issues with it though were map glitches where the game could be played in places it was not meant to like Myanmar. And a south korean town was in the north korea map (Near Sokcho), and parts of Busan were in the Japan map due to being near a Japanese island. Also hackings from PoodleCorp were an issue. Release was delayed in France due to an attack in the city of Nice. Also, it made cities extremely crowded and has disadvantaged outer suburban and rural players, who have worse pokemon spawns and less pokestops and gyms. However, this is a good video!

It is very unfortunate that a kid died because of them, but the toys design wasn't the cause of death, it was the wrong use of the toy. A child can always swallow a toy or put something over their face, it's up to parents to keep an eye on young children.

About the ghost girl bit at 16:29, funny enough, she makes another appearance, although this time, it's in the mobile spin-off game Pokemon Masters EX, and it's revealed that her (or if there are multiple ghost girls like her, "this specific ghost girl's") name is Helena. And she's not really depicted as that creepy as she was in the mainline games, just obsesses over creepy stuff.
Such a weird direction to take that character, i really thought the ghost girl would come full circle and be a big bad in a later game or something. Cool she appeared again but almost dissapointing
It's not the same girl, in Pokemon XY if you talk to those girls after battling them you pretty much get the idea that "Hex maniac" is a subculture, like goths.
They dress similar, have similar hobbies but it's not always the same people.
Plus, the one in Ex isn't a ghost.

As someone who has been a fan of Pokémon since Red and Blue came out (I was 7 years old then) I hated the 2016 Pokémon Go craze.. so many of the people who would have made fun of me for playing Pokémon, were now all into it. I’m so glad that it was just a passing fad, as far as being THAT popular.

@Porder there is one theory I noticed when researching Pokémon creepy pasta when I was five. When beating the original Pokémon games and returning to lavender town, going to the top level you are met with a trainer when you click on the gravesite a trainer who has level 80 Pokémon is said to take away the player into a ground if the battle is lost. This creeped me out but got me to do some more research. The trainers name is also buried alive… so plenty of smaller theories proposed off of that. With a creepy png based of off it

In regards to the "How do trainers have Pokeballs if theyre wearing bikinis", the anime solved this. Remember, Pokeballs can shrink from baseball-sized sphears to little marble-sized spheaes that we'll call "Travel Mode", and the world of Pokemon has made clothes and accessories that can hold Pokeballs while theyre in travel mode, like Ash's belt.
In the anime, they have necklaces, bracelets and gloves that the Pokeballs can hook into, so swimmers can just wear one of these and have a full party on them out at sea with minimal clothing. In regards to the Sun and Moon trainer not shown wearing gloves or bracelets, lets say she's wearing an ankle or thigh bracelet, since she's drawn from the waist up, or maybe its a hair accessory not shown in that shot.

As a former Pokemon Moder, I can shed some light about the Shiny Entry.
They are in fact manually colored. In Gen 3, the shiny pallet of a pokemon is the next byte over, and aren't arranged in the same coloration as the original pallet.
That said, the pixel placement of each color is one to one, but it's not hard to swap colors. It is possible they could have use an algorithm to select the color, then color it in themselves, but the problem with that theory is shading and color correction. It'll just be easier to make the pallet and call it a day.
As for why generation 2 had so many green colors, I do have two theories of this. The first one is no backlighting. And the second one is for those who play on the regular game boy. (It's a little known fact that gold and silver are backwards compatible.) In both instances, the green color is very noticeable, especially on the Gameboy color since each pixel is an RGB display with green being the strongest color. The regular Gameboy would display green as a lighter, more transparent color, making the difference striking.

36:11 Pokemon go has been so big that it overshadowed the console games of pokemon, and I wouldn't call it a 'tragedy'. It was a huge success for Pokemon. Some major issues with it though were map glitches where the game could be played in places it was not meant to like Myanmar. And a south korean town was in the north korea map (Near Sokcho), and parts of Busan were in the Japan map due to being near a Japanese island. Also hackings from PoodleCorp were an issue. Release was delayed in France due to an attack in the city of Nice. Also, it made cities extremely crowded and has disadvantaged outer suburban and rural players, who have worse pokemon spawns and less pokestops and gyms.
