There was an America Corporate man underwritten 10% of his will to Singapore Botanic Garden. LOL. News has shocked many, he loved to walk about there then, when he was in Singapore as an expatriate.
History I was told that the first rubber seeds were brought from Brazil in the 19th century to the Botanic Gardens by Ridley an Englisman who perfected a way to collect the sap to make rubber. Later rubber was produced and exported around the world and Malaya was then the largest producer of natural rubber sheets. However, most if not all were sent to Singapore for grading (eg SIR a rubber standard) and shipped through the Singapore port. Therefore the history-wise the Singapore Botanic Gardens could be said to have played a leading role in the production of the first automobile tyres. Correct me if I am wrong.

That whole place is nice. The statue of the big goose in the middle of the lake was my fave cuz I always thought that it lifted up secretly and a boat or a plane comes out if it 😂 silly imagination
Botanic gardens are amazing! So glad you visited there, definitely one you don’t want to miss! We went super early in the morning as it was too hot by 10am. Did you manage the orchid gardens? Awesome Vlog guys, as always 👌

Go to sungei buloh wetland reserve, also if u are in for weird n horror there's haw par villa. If u want a glimpses of our past live/living condition go to pulau ubin.
Hey guys! I just peeked down in your comments and there are so many of our fellow travel friends here! How did we just find you?! This is crazy. Just watched most of the livestream with EpicTravelShow - great job! We are currently in Singapore now as well so thanks for all of the information in this video. Love your personalities, this is amazing. Have you been to the aquarium here? Was thinking about hitting that before heading to the Philippines :)
How awesome! Glad you enjoyed the video and hope you love Singapore as much as we did!! No we didn't go to the Aquarium.. How long will you be in the Philippines for? We are heading that way in about a month after we leave Japan..
So glad teaching online is working out for you! It's something I've been thinking about dabbling with for a while. Are you teaching though iTalki? VIPkid? or some other one?
Hi guys! We use Cambly (referral link: www.cambly.com/en/tutors?referralCode=emma145) but have heard that the other two are also great! We use Cambly because it is SUPER flexible with our schedule, especially around traveling :)
Yeah! Big nature in the city should be 'mandatory'. Loved Hong Kong too! Whaaaat?? UA-cam Studios in Tokyo! Maybe you meet Simon & Martina there! haha :P Looking forward to what you make there!
The botanical gardens in Singapore look amazing. We're not really city people but cities with lots of green we could probably manage. 😀 So excited about your Tokyo vlogs.
Yes, I believe you can take your dogs to most of the gardens and parks in Singapore (including Botanical Gardens and Gardens by the Bay) but they are not allowed inside the paid conservatories at Gardens by the Bay.. :)
It's not cheap I agree, But there are many cheap and free stuff you can enjoy if you do a bit of research. As shown in this video, this huge awesome Botanic Garden charges no entrance fee except for the National Orchid Garden located within. Same goes to any other parks around the island.
Exactly! We found that aside from the cost of accommodation, the cost of food and transport were relatively low and there is a lot to do for free/cheap!
Yes.. been there a few times. I recommend you to try Haw Paw Villa and Tree Top walk. They are amazing. You would not believe it existed in Singapore.

You guys are so much fun to watch. Great job with this one too. Beautiful place for a walk with a camera.
Aw thanks so much! So glad you liked it! Singapore definitely surprised us..
that lake was impressive
Honestly, Singapore hardly got any lakes, rightly should be pond or reservoir. LOL.

If you come to the garden during the bird migration period, you will find birders photographing birds in the garden.

CORRECTION: SIR should be SRS (Singapore Rubber Standards). Everyday during the daily news the price of rubber would be announced.
Great video :D You guys should also check out Pulau Ubin, Bukit Timah, dairy farm to see the natural nature of Singapore if you have time!! 😄
Aww looks awesome! You don't look half as sweaty as we were!!!
Oh I assure you.. we were sweaty in places. So many places.
U guys will lurve Gardens by the bay, the evening light shows are great

My whole family been there in Singapore except me 😐
Why are you guys not sweating at all? And not attacked by mosquitoes or bugs?
Can you walk in these gardens with your (large) dog? Conform to the rules that Singapore applies :-)
