    Laughed at spindle explanation. Reminds one of a scenario where dude broke his stock knuckle while running portals. “These @radflo shocks broke and that took out my ‘spindle!’ The factory spindle is fine with portals and I’m not just saying that because if the knuckle wasn’t strong enough then that’s a major design flaw on my chinese cast steel portals!” 😂🙄

      Those were the tibus aluminum ones right? It also then came out Tibus also makes his stuff in China. Apparently these are the only guys who make stuff in the USA!

      Yeah it was dongbuster. Not sure if it was on the Tibus portals he used to claim were the best thing on the market or his new cast iron atrocities that will have those super tight china tolerances we’ve all come to appreciate.

    Also I forgot to mention, a custom tune can get rid of the no power braking issue on the ranger raptor. They have been doing that for years, some of it is in transmission settings for maximum allowed rpm for inferred movement.

      As soon as Cobb gets the Bronco ECU unlocked Goosetuned will provide this as standard on their tunes 🙏🏼

      @@ponyboi.gamer36I like Goosetuned for his tunes. He uses Cobb for their accessport. Not seeking big power gains with portals and 40’s-that’s already a lot for the rear axle to deal with.

    Any chance of adding the ability for CTIS ?

      @74weld  26 днів тому +1

      @@48Troll yes. We have a system in the work. I just think the way most do CTIS with a line sticking out the hub is lazy and easily knocked off. We have been testing a new system without lines for several months. Likely a 2025 option.

    On the ABS tone rings are there different tooth counts for different years and different sensors?

    • @74weld
      @74weld  Місяць тому +2

      @@ponyboi.gamer36 yes. Most all vehicles that run tone rings are all different teeth. We have seen a dozen different variations but Jeep is unique to Jeep. Nothing crosses over. And even if it did, sensors are all unique to that specific application. Unfortunately there is no industry wide standard

    • @ponyboi.gamer36
      @ponyboi.gamer36 Місяць тому

      @@74weld okay, so when you are doing the bolt on stuff you are making custom tone rings for each application to match the factory so the ABS still works. Would you then be able to repurpose a say D60 portal that you build into the knuckle and build it with a tone ring for 99-07 ranger? If the customer provided the tooth count for their application?

    • @74weld
      @74weld  Місяць тому

      @@ponyboi.gamer36 unfortunately not really. Every wheel speed sensor is different and you would need a custom bearing pack to accept that sensor. Not a simple task unfortunately

    • @ponyboi.gamer36
      @ponyboi.gamer36 Місяць тому

      @@74weld damn, now Im curious what Ford to Ford sensors are the same from unit bearing to unit bearing. I guess the only other option would be to find someone who can reprogram the ABS to a different tone ring count. As you refer to the mechanical style system, with the tone ring, all tone ring sensors should produce the same signal out from the tone ring pulses. The only part that would then change is the amount of pulses that are sent to the module.

      @@ponyboi.gamer36 someone smarter than me could probably do that…we just make our systems match OEM so we don’t have to “trick” anything. New vehicles are a different story. They keep getting more complicated, integrated, and complex.
