Pls bring me to this shop next time when I’m back. The chef has strict requirements on his ingredients & food products. I love Bentong ginger & pure seafood paste. Appreciate his enthusiasm towards his products 👍🏻👍🏻

Hi Uncle Lee, this is a great sharing from you of first-rate food culture of M’sia. The attitude, latitude and persistence with the choice of, and cooking skills for quality foods really sets 大少 apart from other F&B operators. Other similar restorans providing 魚頭seafood湯 etc are a far cry from the benchmark set by Xian Taste. A must-try venue 🥲for me and my family.😉

He is indeed very humorous
His food looks good and you and your team did a marvelous job in promoting it. However his restaurant seems to be empty just about all the time. Why? And if we visit his place, will we get the same kind of quality as you did in this clip?
I ate at his restaurant a couple of times in the past and quality has been consistent. However, I had steamboat previously which was excellent.
I think his restaurant is just a hidden gem and unknown to many people except for those in the vicinity. If I remember correctly, I think we went on a Thursday evening and the whole street was quiet, even the popular kaki corner was practically empty!
If you visit the place and don’t get the same quality as in the video, complaint la to Tai Siew and say you don’t want to pay.
Not same quality why need to pay! He may just say you don’t need to pay if the quality is not good and you didn’t eat the food. He takes pride in his cooking, emphasizing a lot on taste, quality, hygiene and customer experience.

the coffee compare with irish coffee how?
Irish coffee usually has a lot of cream which I don’t like. I like my coffee bitter. That’s why I love Americano … black and without sugar.
Tai Siew’s coffee is thick with strong coffee flavor which I prefer compared to Irish coffee.
But different people have different preferences.. lady boss likes latte so she may prefer Irish coffee more.. I don’t know.

@@solarcoaser there’s a bit of milk but not too much until the taste is just milk! Good balance to me. I think any Japanese whisky would be excellent. 🤤
