Very very impressive! Want to add one more layer of complexity? Make a base non flat, but mirrored to original piece and assemble puzzle flat surface up :) - For compete freaks only :)
this was extremely cool. do you mind posting some information regarding the tolerances you used for the puzzle pieces? what was the value that you decided gave you the best fit.
Absolutely! I found that .01” gap was the sweet spot. I didn’t use an offset, but rather a .005” full depth finishing path that when everything was put together, it gave me that desired .01” with a finished edge.
Totally Awesome! Where/how did you come up with the pattern of the individual pieces? I have been wanting to make puzzles on my CNC for a long time, and this may be the driving force to get it done! Thanks for sharing!
Absolutely! I did not do an offset for the tolerance that gave the fit I was looking for. I ended up doing a full depth finishing pass that took an additional .005” around each piece. This gave me a smooth edge around the entire piece, and a .01” gap. I really enjoyed how well that turned out. Cheers!

Nope, still rocking the Amana. I need to get my monies worth before switching. Definitely going to order a couple of bits and bits. Cheers!
@@EricksonWoodworking Hello, nice work, what Amana bit is that?
Can you share what cut settings you used for cutting out the puzzle pieces?

What software do you use for the puzzle pieces and the texture?
I used Fusion360 for all the tool path generations.
@@EricksonWoodworking Cool -- but what about for the shapes? The top flow-y textures? Did you design it in Fusion yourself?
