I appreciate that you've recorded the clears where the boss finishes their hard enrage casting, most have very cool animations that rarely get seen to completion. Kudos!
Found it a bit odd that they only used enemies from the final two tiers here, I smell an ultimate with every major FF boss in the long run, we've yet to see the Emperor, Sephiroth, Ultimecia and Kuja tho...
this being the first time i watch a full run made me so surprised to see a BSoD that i had to google if it was a thing fr, LOL. it's a nice editing touch and i wish it was implemented in the actual fight :(
@@doinyourdad_6969 Pulls are initiating the boss fight. So that means they died as many times. Each pull can easily last a few seconds, up until the last enrage mechanic
@@doinyourdad_6969 Yeah, although most of them ended within the first 30-60 seconds. It's a lot less for each individual phase of the fight. But still, quite an exhausting experience.
Nice job adding the VFX! A little sad that the P6 theme is mistimed tho (it starts just when you can see her eyes, not right away). Other than that, great.
I'm manually editing back in and balancing all of the sound effects (and music). I really love the fights and sound design in the game and wanted to make something I might want to watch again for our group's first clears. The unedited videos are usually in the description for comparison.
Hey man, I love the is series of videos you put out! I am excited for the Eden one! Hey, quick question, what ratio do you have in settings for boss music to boss sfx? It’s perfect!
Hey, sorry for the slow response, haven't been checking this channel often. I manually mix all of the audio (I work with a muted file and add all of the sound effects personally), so the ratios are different for each fight. Typically boss effects (damage) are at about half the volume of the music, and ambient effects are slightly lower. I also try to take distance into account when mixing the audio.
@@jordanlopez942Really late, but technically wrong. The absolute minimum number of LBs used on Alpha Omega in a clear is 7: 3 tank LBs for Cosmo Memory and Magic Number, 2 healer LBs on Magic Number, 1 caster LB and 1 ranged LB on Cosmo Meteor. The melee LBs are extremely nice and will be done for any sane run, but is not strictly mandatory.
Congratz ^^ But one question: Is the blue screen really from the game? Or was it a funny edit from your side to... hide a wipe for the sake of the video? XD
I believe the ability the boss uses at that point is also called “Blue Screen”. It follows all of the bug coding mechanics, a full system shutdown/reboot, and every safety mechanism and overclocking protection being forcibly disabled by Omega.
I really want to do this content, do you have any tips for someone doing that who has a full time job? Also any other tips for preparing, like what my skill level should be or what content can help prepare? (I've only completed Hydalen Extreme)
You'll have to complete the savage tier that unlocks whatever ultimate you're interested in doing (Abyssos in this case). There are some recruitment channels where you can find a group that meets your needs, like the Balance or FFXIV Recruiter discords. Other than that it's just a matter of investing time. I think anyone is capable of clearing the hardest fights in the game, just need to persevere. Fights like this naturally get easier over time as well. Good luck to you if you decide to try!

I love how you were the sole survivor of the enrage
When an already unstoppable killing machine finds out how to use a limit break... and it's still not enough.
That BSOD got me at first ngl
this is amazing!
Best SFX is still the endsinger one. That lady that did the SFX popped off.
This is great! i always wanted to hear Omega Savage's machinery sound effects + From The Heavens bgm.
kudos to you 🫡

thanks so much its super useful for making real-time guide videos for my static
look at this gamer absolutely gaming

They had the perfect reason to use the Emperor, for Castle Pandaemonium, and they didn't do it. Very disappointed about that still
We technically got Ultimecia in E12s through Gaia. Kind of.
ah yes how should they make ultimate even crazier? lets make you do the add phase and mechanics from the other phases at the same time!

ngl, my pc actually blue screen’d me when we were doing reclears, right after we finished p4, painge
Wow, some of these strats are cursed compared to current strats :D
This theme reminds me of Gigyas' theme a little and it disturbs me ;;
grats on the clear ^^
thanks!
love how they become a literal god and could destroy everything then expect to walk off free like they arnt a threat to the world.
This is an awesome video, I watched the whole thing patiently!
How many attempts did it take you to complete The Omega Protocol?
Thanks!
It took almost 1800 pulls to clear, so quite a few.

Thanks, glad you enjoy the videos. :)
Wait, why did the DRK click LB buff off twice?
so theyd die and have their mp refilled so they can use their ogcds more. really big brained ngl
wait, during ther end of the last phase, do you just get constant LB!?
Everyone gets a buff that refills the bar once, yes
doing p5 correctly gives everyone a buff that refunds the full LB bar one time, you need 8+ inn that phase alone to clear

what's the music in phase one?
The track name is 'Deltascape' I think.

Tis a remix of FFV’s Cleft of Dimensions theme. The later phases use leitmotif’s from the second theme for the same final dungeon as well
