It's amazing how much more comfortable and easier to ride a motorcycle can be when you get the correct parts that fit your body correctly. The rider triangle is so important. I changed the stock seat(to a LePera Maverick) on my Road King to make things more comfortable on longer rides and it did, but the lower seat height along with it putting me farther back changed the entire triangle, I then switched handlebars to mini-ape style and fell in love with them, however, the seat still wasn't as comfortable on long rides as I would've liked, so I once again I switched seats to a Mustang sport touring seat, it moved me up in height and closer to the bars, I immediately thought there would be no way I would like the new rider triangle but after 50 miles or so I noticed riding the bike was so much easier to control, low speed maneuvering turns were easier and I found myself leaning into corners more aggressively, having more confidence. Although the jury is still out as for the long term comfort, I'll have to wait and see, I've heard it can take a seat several hundred miles to properly break in to one's particular shape. Ride safe and enjoy life, God bless.

I struggled for over a year to decide on getting another custom seat. I had an unpleasant experience with Mustang seats and spent a year in physical therapy due to sciatica. However, after trying out Saddleman seats from Battlefield Harley-Davidson for a few hours, I finally found the perfect fit and have now ridden over 1,000 miles comfortably.

I remember a guy online some years ago reviewing the new-fangled heated seat on his motorcycle. He said: "It's got two settings, uncomfortably warm, and sweaty arse." I've been giggling about that for years, and I now finally have a bike with a heated seat. It's a nice thing, should be standard on all northerners' bikes.

I'm happy to hear you like this seat!! I just bought it for my 2012 Iron. But mine is the non-heated version. I just received it today, I'll probably install it on Monday and give it a test ride. I'm replacing a low-profile fabric mesh seat that the previous owner put on the bike.
I'm not fond of the low profile. It makes me want to slide off the back if I gun it off the line in first gear. lol

Great upgrade to your bike! I would recommend adding a back rest to your seat, it will really help with reducing back strain especially when riding for an hour or more. I went in a different direction with my seat upgrade by having an upholster replace the foam, reshaping it and adding a medical gel pad. That was in 2014 and that now rest on my 2021 Road King Special! A good seat really makes a huge difference to riding comfortably and how you feel after the ride.
