  • This is a full set of Government Issue playing at Maxwell's in Hoboken, NJ in, or around 1988. I can see my silly self right up at the stage throughout the show. I'm the guy with short bleached blonde hair wearing a white t-shirt of ska band The Toasters, that has a logo on the back of the t-shirt as well as the front. Several other friends and acquaintances of mine can be seen in the crowd as well. One of so many great shows/great memories of Maxwell's in Hoboken, New Jersey, which will sadly be closing down by July 31, 2013. RIP Maxwell's!

John Stabb was the most immersive frontman I ever saw; sharing the mic, singing with fans & the hardcore handshake.

Govt issue were the only band that I loved both sides of their music. From Boycott Stabb and Joyride's punk sound, to You and Crash's more melodic sounds this band will always be a musical staple in my life. Marc and Peter's drumming were huge influences on my drumming, I wonder what they're doing today?

The magic of stabb. I had the opportunity to talk to him about an interview. He died and it never happened.

I hear you pancrack, but it wasn't me who actually filmed it. These days young kids are able to easily get amazing audio and video quality at shows. It was a bit more difficult back then. Yeah, it certainly was a great show George Steen. As you can see in my comment, I said that I was there as well and I can see myself throughout the entire video.
