I love to hear your thoughts about past favorites! I would also be interested in hearing your thoughts about your favorite couples! If they still give you all the feels or if you have fallen out of love with them. 🤔
No one ever talks about The Girl of Fire and Thorns trilogy but like that series shaped my love of slow burn romance. I’m so scared about her new continuation book/spin off series
That really brings me back, I remember watching you gush about Uprooted when you first read it! I hadn't realised it's been over FIVE years since I first started watching your content omg. I read Moloka'i after you recommended it and it still stands out to me as a book that impacted me greatly, both emotionally and intellectually, and I'm so glad your videos made me read it!
I found your channel years ago, when I read the Winner's trilogy and was looking for reviews. Every time you mention those books now it warms my heart, I they were a big part on making me exited to get back to reading. I admit my favourite was also the 2nd book, but that cliffhanger ending killed me at the time 😵😂
How you described your love for the Grisha triology reminds me of my ever-lasting love for Shatter Me. Juliette was my first fictional child who I love dearly and defend against people who don't get her. Warner was the reason why I give assholes a second try since he was a monster in the first book but then in book 2 we saw how complex he is. Not to mention how sometimes first love doesn't always mean only
I remember watching your gush videos about uprooted and girl of fire and thorns and feeling soo happy cause I loved them!, and 2015 was the year I started dipping my toes in the cosmere with warbreaker and the final empire and this year I've finally worked up the courage and read way of kings and words of radiance, ahh so many memories!
Very nice video! I am thinking on checking the Girl of Fire and Thorns someday and I hope I'll like it as much as you do. Looking forward for your other videos.
love this series Sam. I read Uprooted this year after the Winternight Trilogy because you said they had similar vibes. I now have a GR and in my review I said uprooted converted me to the magical wood trope.
I'm late to the party but Leigh Bardugo is my favorite author. I've love and read all of her books but I haven't read the Grisha series until recently. I'm finally reading Ruin and Rising and I'm mad at myself for not reading this years ago
I love this video concept so much! It made me think about my fav reads of 2014/15 and I gotta say ... idk who this woman was, I am not the woman I was in 2015 judging by my book taste now 😭😂
Fire and Thorns is one of my all-time favorite series. I read the fourth book, The Empire of Dreams, this year and I liked it (though not as much as the original trilogy).
2015 was my best reading year by far, and I read a lot of similar books as you apparently 😅 I love the world of Grisha, but I remember finishing Ruin and Rising and being like ‘that’s it? Oh ok...’ I do really love Six of Crows though!
Ooh I’m intrigued to know your top 5 favourite books of all time now. I know 2 - Uprooted and The Night Circus but what are the others? I loved Blue is the Warmest Colour graphic novel 🥰
I watched this whole video and thought oh man it sounds nice outside tonight and then remembered I live in Camden and that cricket was definitely not here
There's something about 2015! I've seen so many booktubers and bloggers talk about how good 2015 was, and it was such a good reading year for me, too. I read two of my all-time favourite books in 2015, including my absolute favourite of all time: The Goblin Emperor. One of these days I'd like to give The Raven Boys another try but, as someone who lives in Wales, it still hurts me that they anglicised Owain Glyndŵr to Owen Glendower. Like... if readers can learn how to pronounce Daenerys Targaryen, they can learn how to pronounce Owain Glyndŵr.
Sam, you look like several people in my family. Especially my cousin Tammy. I know it's weird, but you do. Anyway, I love your channel. I'm a big fan 🌍
Have you seen the disaster that is the film adaptation of Blue is the Warmest Colour? It’s AWFUL! It’s a French film and they over sexualize their relationship. It’s mega cringe.
All hail the cricket
* pauses video to see if the cricket is in the video or in my house* ah yup it's just Sam's video assistant, I should know better.
I love to hear your thoughts about past favorites!

Oooooh that might be the next thing I do!

The strange and beautiful sorrows of ava lavender is on my TBR and since you said it’s a fall book i have to read it ASAP!!

I honestly love this video idea so much!! I wish I'd been on booktube when I was younger!
This is a really fun recap! I kind of have to admit that most of them have been on my TBR since 2015 hahaha.
Girl of fire and thorns is still one of my favorites too, so underrated and SO WONDERFUL 😍
I'm not sure if you have mentioned it in previous videos, but I would love to hear your opinion of The Library at Mount Char by Scott Hawkins.

Yees, love Girl of Fire and Thorns! I'm planning on rereading it this coming year to make sure that I love it as much now as I did then. 😂
I really like these past favs revisited videos! Can’t wait to see the next one!
I love these because I always find new series to dive into. Your taste is always so stellar. :)
I can’t believe some of these books are that old 😱
The Grisha Trilogy is one of my fave ya fantasy series. Still haven’t read the Six of Crows books yet.
Ava Lavender was so good, I drew pages of fanart for that book after reading it which is something I've never done for any other book.
omg I want to see!
I need to read Uprooted soon 😅
And yes please I would love to see an adaptation of Mistborn ... It would be so cool !!
I love this video concept so much! It made me think about my fav reads of 2014/15 and I gotta say ... idk who this woman was, I am not the woman I was in 2015 judging by my book taste now 😭😂
I'm totally going to have to reread Uprooted now that it's autumn, definitely the right time of year for it
Wow I'd forgotten how old some of these books are! Especially the few YA series that I own and still haven't managed to get to yet!
Fire and Thorns is one of my all-time favorite series. I read the fourth book, The Empire of Dreams, this year and I liked it (though not as much as the original trilogy).
oh I'm glad it was good! I still need to read it.
Oh you just reminded me to reread Uprooted!

I had similar feelings about Ruin and Rising at the time
Ooh I’m intrigued to know your top 5 favourite books of all time now. I know 2 - Uprooted and The Night Circus but what are the others? I loved Blue is the Warmest Colour graphic novel 🥰
i still think about the final empire every single day
omg yes The Girl of Fire and Thorns is so unhyped. I loved that book and need to read the other two books soon.
I watched this whole video and thought oh man it sounds nice outside tonight and then remembered I live in Camden and that cricket was definitely not here
LOL
I still haven’t read Ava Lavender!! I picked it up years ago and forgot I even had it. I’m going to have to read that soon.
i do want to reread the Grisha trilogy before the show comes out.

I still need to tackle the Final Empire - just intimidated by its size
Definitely worth it though! (In case you need some encouragement 😅)
its actually a really quick read!
Sam, you look like several people in my family. Especially my cousin Tammy. I know it's weird, but you do. Anyway, I love your channel. I'm a big fan 🌍
I can't believe six of crows came out 5 years ago! 😂
right?!
I cant believe Grisham trilogy and SOC came out that long ago. I feel old. LOL
right?!
tell jiminy cricket we say hi
I'm so mad at the falling kingdoms publisher because I read the spin off and she never finishing it bc they wouldn't publish it.
My speakers must be real bad cause I can’t hear the cricket everyone’s talking about 😂
lol consider yourself blessed
The adaptation is defs very “ergh”! French films always are but I was like uuuuummmmm is this actual porn as I was watching it 🙊
Men I hated uprooted lol i usually enjoy your recommendations but that did not deliver.
On the other Hand..the winner's curse LITERALLY owns My heart.
