They’d probably piece it together, Alicent has scolded Aemond several times for sneaking into the dragonpit and attempting to claim a dragon, so she’d eventually arrive at this conclusion.
That would be interesting. It would arouse more questions though. Where would they be staying if they were to bond? Which of the 2 of them would have more of an influence over the other? And what if Rhaena sided with the Greens?
I need this relentless Alicent and Rhaenyra kind of situations because the show seems to be diverging from our expectations. The survival of Alicent's kids means death to Rhaenyra's and vice versa. The Dance is inevitable.
When I saw this I assumed it was about Vhagar killing Aemond when he tries to ride her. That would have just massively tipped the odds in favour of the Blacks. This is more interesting. (I'm not sure about Viserys dying at exactly the same time even if Alicent was trying to kill him. I suppose you could argue that when someone's as sick as he was subtly poisoning him and just trying to moderate his pain could end up about the same. )
What if the Tyrells had joined the Greens? What if Aegon hadn't managed to escape from King's Landing? What if Ormund Hightower survived the First Battle of Tumbleton? What if Corlys had designated Vaemond Velaryon as his heir? What if Viserys had named Daemon Hand of the King after Lyonel Strong's death? What if the Greens had used the attack on Rook's Rest as a decoy to draw Meleys away and attack the Velaryon Fleet with the dragons? What if Criston Cole had reached Tumbleton alive?
If the Tyrells joined the greens then they would have met up with the Baratheon host. Depending on how many men they bring they could take down the combined host of Starks, Tully's and Blackwoods at the battle at the Kingsroad. If Lord Ormund had survived then he would have led his army to Kingslanding. They would have returned the city to peace and could also met up with the Baratheons host at the Kingsroad battle. (Spoiler) They still had plenty of men due to the 2 dragonseeds betraying Rhaenyra and wiping out the blacks at Tumbleton. Finally if Christon Cole reached Tumbleton without issue then the same thing would pretty much happen. He and the royal army would meet up with the Hightowers and return to Kingslanding
Might I suggested a video on the following topic. In the books the Stark's where not as wealthy as the Lannister's, however they where a lot wealthier than in the show. First of all Winterfell was much larger, not the dumpy keep in the show. The castle's towers are taller in the books and three acers alone are set aside for the God's Wood. At the Feast for King Robert they all dressed magnificently, including Benjen Stark who wears by far the fanciest blacks in the whole story. Rich velvet, high leather boots, a silver buckle on his wide belt, and a heavy silver chain. When they go to Kings Landing Ned orders a new uniform for his guards, silver chain mail, yes silver not iron and long cloaks of heavy grey wool decorated with white satin borders. These cloaks are pinned with hands of beaten silver. Likewise Ned always wore his council silk as Hand Of The King and when he was stead on the Iron Throne he wore a white doublet embossed with a grey dire wolf. Back in Winterfell Bran is attacked by the wildings because of his wolf's-head brooch of silver and polished jet. This is just to go riding this is not a formal event. When Theon was living with the Starks he wore a lot of gold which makes Balon think his gotten soft. When Theon took Winterfell he ordered a crown made for himself as the self styled Prince Of Winterfell incrusted with gold nuggets and black diamonds likely form Winterfell's plundered treasury. At the Harvest Feast in Winterfell Bran is quote, dressed as befits a Prince and drinks from a silver goblet worked in the shape of a dire wolfs head. Catelyn describes her son Robbs royal robes as quote magnificent. He also wears crown of bronze and iron. Sansa is also fond of blue silk gowns and Jon Snow wears black mole skin gloves. The Great Hall in Winterfell is large enough to seat five hundred people and has a throne dating back to when the Starks where Kings In The North. There is a Library Tower with old and rare Valyrian Scrolls. Now look at Maester Luwin he has is own tower and servants of his own, the Starks top servants have servants. Remember Winterfell is built atop a hot spring and there are pipes in the Great Keep where the Starks live. The Starks also have a glass garden in which they are able to grow plants not native to the North what ever the season. Knowing that Sansa loves lemon cakes we can assume there is a lemon tree in the glass garden importing those seeds all the way form The Reach or Doren would not be cheap. As Lord Commander Of The Nights Watch Jon considers buildings a Glass Garden but thinks it will be costly. Lord Eddard also built a Sept for Lady Catelyn. Not as Wealthy as the Lannister but clearly one of the wealthiest families in the known world.
Depends which child. If she died giving birth too Aegon or Viserys II. Than Daemon would do everything to get his boys the crown. If it were the bastard the best option is to marry one of to Helaena otherwise it would be very messy. Or Aegon II would become heir if they acknowledge the bastardy.
1. What if Baelon died but Aemma lived, but didn't want to get pregnant again like she said? 2. What if Rheanyra and Daemon hooked up that night (and not Criston Cole)? 3. What is Viserys agreed to a marriage between R and D from the beginning? 4. What if Viserys married Laena instead of Alicent? 5. What if Viserys died right after naming Rhaenyra as his heir? 6. What if Raena had claimed Vhagar before Aemond? 7. What if Daemon had died in the Stepstones? 8. What if Laenor had died in the Stepstones? 9. What if the king forced Helaena to marry Jaecerys?
I hope you do a part 2 to what if “Rhaenys actually did it”because I love the idea of the green faction making a marriage alliance with the Lannister’s then go to war with the black that would be awesome to hear you do a full war scenario between the two. With the wealth of the Lannister on the green side it should at the very least give even out the plane field a little then if he can get more houses to side with him it turn the war into a possibility even ish fight. I can imagine with how both the culture of the reach focusing on chivalry and the kingdom of the vale also have a culture of chivalry it might result in them joining the greens because of the kin slaying of most the the green family and seeing the ruleing Targaryen as dishonorable and undeserving of the throne. Hell maybe even Dorne might join them if one of the surviving baby’s that where in the red keep at the time of the green family massacre were promised to marry into the house of Dorne
I think Raenyra would have emotionally disconnected from him and fled with Daemon, probably never seeing Viseris or Alicente again, who would probably be eaten away by her conscience for the rest of her days. But hey, at least there wouldn't be war or maybe..., we don't know if Alicent would have been a better or worse mother to her children, she would no longer fill them with fear against her sister, but that she could be as abusive or manipulative as her father, who at least in the series is the only man who manipulates his children, the rest of course use them as bargaining chips and Otto is not that evil either but I wouldn't put him either as a father who would give Alicent a very good family education. Besides, it could be that even Viseris and Alicente end up punishing their children, especially Aegon for taking away their only friend and their favorite daughter. On the other hand, if Raenyra is removed from her position even if it is because she is a woman, this will open the possible door. so that any legal heir (when it is legal it is when an heir is publicly named as such, when it is not official it is when he is technically an heir by tradition but is never recognized as such) who does not appear suitable is skipped from the line. Aegon for this of taking his sister away from him and her personality would be the first to be deposed by Aemond and in the end it would be a war of greens and greens. Or also that it is perhaps even more feasible but urgent, there could be peace and that at some point Raenyra's children would mix with Aegon's. Or that for some reason the green line became extinct and Raenyra's inherited the throne. However, in neither case do I see it possible that the dragons were still alive, much less if it is true that the maesters extinguished them by killing Aemma and allowing a Haigtower will sit in power.
Depending on when this happens I don't see much push back from most people. Rhaenyra was expecting Aegon to be heir herself when he was born. However, if Aegon is named after she marries into House Velaryon there could be some conflict. Corlys agreed to the marriage after Viserys assured Rhaenyra would be heir. If it happens much later once Aegon is an adult, war may not happen but the hostilities may still be there between the two sides since the rivalry had been building for years after the eye incident.
@@jaijoerik6233 True, but it depends on when Aegon is named heir. If he changes it after Rhaenyra and Daemon marry then she would still have 5 male heirs. 5 boys flying around on dragons that get larger every year. Even if Aegon gets name heir right after his birth then Rhaenyra could still have 3 bastards. Unless they marry back into the crown then they’ll always pose a threat. Maybe Rhaenyra doesn’t marry Daemon or the Velaryons, there would still be 3 different factions of dragon riders.
That has been my main focal point on how the greens could have won before any war started. They should have already been married to powerful houses. Aegon to 1 of Lord Tyrell's cousins. Helaena to Lord Tully's son. And Aemond to Baratheons daughter. By the time of Viserys death they each would have had at least 2 kids. Then have Daeron on the side if you need backup
@@Thrawn23. I've thought about that too. Even Cregan Stark could have been an option for Helaena. Everything would have been easier for the greens if they had guaranteed the support of the most powerful from the beginning, I believe.
@@rocioformento8043 definitely, but I pair Helaena with the Tully's so they can block the Starks from crossing over and possibly laying siege to any castles. It would also deter them from meeting up with any other southern army. And Aegon to the Tyrell's so they could call upon the power of the Reach
@@Thrawn23. I think they actually hinted at that in canon with Viserys not allowing it. In the books, he is the one that insists on Aegon and Helaena marrying one another, not Allicent, so he may have done that to avoid the Greens having any allies against Rhaenyra since he was seemingly aware of Alicent wanting her blood on the throne since it was why he denied Rhaenyra marrying Aegon when she asked him.
@@lilchaos9212 Now that I think about it. Marrying Aegon and Helaena was the right move. They have Aemond and Daeron so they were in good hands. Daeron should have been married to 1 of his Tyrell 2nd cousins to get the entire Reach onside
One thing I think you missed is that Viserys would immediately have ordered Criston Cole be beheaded on charges of treason for his complete and utter neglect of his duty to watch the princes (as it was his responsibility that particular night). This means the Greens lose not one but two of their most important figures in one fell swoop, and it's entirely possible that Jace could get out of the most severe trouble by saying it was an accident and Criston being held responsible instead. This would also be the case in the sister scenario to this, namely "what if Aemond got eaten by Vhagar instead of successfully claiming her?"
I’m gonna have to disagree. It doesn’t make much sense because Cole isn’t the only Kingsguard on duty. There were three other members there besides him. If Criston Cole gets executed for being negligent, why wouldn’t anyone else? Or someone like Harold Westerling? He’s the lord commander of the kingsguard and the first one to arrive on the scene. If anyone gets in trouble and potentially put up for execution it’d be him since he didn’t make sure the people under HIS command weren’t there when a prince’s life was in danger. Not to mention it wasn’t Criston’s specific duty to be there. All the kingsguard swore oaths to defend the king and his blood, but aside from the king Criston is sworn to protect Alicent above all else. Either way, I don’t see any reason Viserys would specifically single out Criston. If something happened to Alicent and he wasn’t there that would be different but when it comes to Aemond be it losing his eye or his life I think Viserys would hold all the Kingsguard present accountable not just one. I also don’t see Jace getting out of this by saying it was an accident. That might have worked with eye but in this timeline Aemond is dead and by all means this looks deliberate. Having five people in a cave and only four coming out alive is not a good look. Viserys may be an idiot but I don’t think (I hope at least ) he’s dumb enough to excuse the murder of his son.
@@TheEmpyreanSpeaks Because Criston was explicitly the one placed in charge of guarding them that night. Earlier in the episode, Westerling makes a point of telling him "You have the night's watch, Ser Criston", and Viserys explicitly berates him in the episode proper because of his failure and excuse-making
Ah. I just checked and you are right, he did say that. But I still think the point stands. While he was angry at Criston for his excuses and singled him out it’s still pretty clear he was mad at the kingsguard in general for what happened to Aemond regardless of who had the watch. So in my opinion if Criston was punished he probably wouldn’t be only one.
When I first saw the title of this video, I thought it was going to mean that, instead of accepting Aemond's claim, Vhagar burned and/or ate him. (2/19/2024)
I believe the king would not punish his grandson. Rae would insist that it was all an accident, the case for Viserys' character is that in favor of a loved one he would not apply justice and he would always create conflict anyway.
Couldnt agree more with this what if scenario. I would say that Oto assassinations plan would continue and aegon and daaron would mount their dragons immediately to dragonstone to light up the entire island then hurry retreat back to kings landing. N then the remaining blacks would regroup of whoever is left while the greens plan for the counter attack. Instant like
That wouldn’t end well. Sunfyre and Tessarion don’t have flames strong enough to melt castles. Dragonstone itself isn’t even a typical castle, it’s made from fused black stone which has a higher melting point. They don’t have a good chance at killing Rhaenyra or her heirs. If Meleys, Caraxes, Syrax or Vhagar met them in the sky it’s all over. I think Otto would agree to marry Jace to Helaena. At least then his bloodline would continue on the throne.
@@joshuaadams6565 i dont think alicent would have accepted that because aemond would be dead n by that time she wouldnt listen to her father and jace would already be dead. I mean rhaenys would be dead so vhagar and meleys would have no riders rhaenyra is pregnant and wouldnt be on her dragon. It all depends when the dragons attack n where the blow their fire i guess on dragonstone.
Lucerys was the one who cut aemonds eye so isn't he the one actually killing aemond and not jacerys, also he is being choked by aemond so does that make more sense.
In the orginal It was Jacaery's knife. He drew the knife and attacked aemond, the knife fell and then lucaerys took it up and attacked aemond and he lost a eye
I have a what if thhat's been on my mind for a while. What if Rhaenyra married Gwayne Hightower? I believe it's more likely if Viserys never remarried or married Laena Velaryon and Otto started sending Gwayne to get close to Rhaenyra the way he sent Alicent to Viserys. The dance would then be between Rhaenyra and Daemon if Viserys never remarried. That another what if too, dotd between Rhaenyra and Daemon instead of Rhaenyra and Aegon.
If she married a Blackwood then she would have a large part of the Riverlands on her side. Im surprised they still sided with her after she disrespected them
I feel like Lucerys would’ve hardened up and I don’t think Rhaenyra and daemon are stupid enough to have there guard down like that especially daemon corlys and rhaenys
How I imagine the scenario Aemond: You’re mine Vhagar!!! Vhagar: oh look a grape *eats him* Vhagar having a senior moment: visenya why does the grape taste funny

@@TheEmpyreanSpeaks Criston would definitely get it the worst though
Pleassseee do a part 2!!!
When I first saw the title of this video, I thought it was going to mean that, instead of accepting Aemond's claim, Vhagar burned and/or ate him. (2/19/2024)
As much as I like Aemond, and wouldn’t want him to die because he’s fun to watch, this would be an extremely good storyline.
I may argue that the Arryck(?) may stay loyal since Aegon doesn’t have the traits he so despised.
This time line might not lead to the destruction of all the dragons
Lucerys was the one who cut aemonds eye so isn't he the one actually killing aemond and not jacerys, also he is being choked by aemond so does that make more sense.
In the orginal It was Jacaery's knife. He drew the knife and attacked aemond, the knife fell and then lucaerys took it up and attacked aemond and he lost a eye
Since aegon is no more a gluttonous sex offender... Eryk/Aryk has no reason to defect... Point to be noted
I like the idea of a dragon rider sent to the night's watch
Will Erryk still defect if Aegon wasnt as unhinged?
I don't think so. It seems like he only left because he saw where Aegon went and what he did in Fleabottom
What if Rhaenyra married one of the Lannisters or Blackwoods?
If she married a Blackwood then she would have a large part of the Riverlands on her side. Im surprised they still sided with her after she disrespected them
Aegon married Rhaenyra after Laenors death, and Heleana married Jace.
Another way this could happen is Aemond failing to claim Vhagar and burning to death in the process.
No because Then Alicent has no reason to hate the blacks .
What if Alicent died when giving birth to Daeron, and Viserys in his stupidity hands over care of his kids to Rhaenyra or Daemon.
Vehicular manslaughter 😂
Daeron not mentioned 😢
I don't think Viserys would anything much different.
what if Aemond and Rhaena bonded together? or before Rhaneyra proposes, Alicents proposes to Rhaenys and both corlys and rhaenys accepts it?
What if Luke/Jace married Haelena?
I wonder, if Jace dies, does that mean his dragon can be claimed? And who would claim him?
What if Luke hadn't attacked Aemond and it resulted in Aemond killing Jaecerys with the rock?
Rhaenerya’s sons are not bastards Laenor always acknowledged them and never questioned them. So calling them “strong boys is delusional”.
Unfortunately, not everyone sees it that way.
That's not how legitimacy works in Westeros. You can't just insert modern ideas into a medieval fantasy world.
@@MI-vc9lp well if someone claims you it is what it is. Y’all weren’t complaining when Sam was raising Gilly’s kid with craster.
I feel like Lucerys would’ve hardened up and I don’t think Rhaenyra and daemon are stupid enough to have there guard down like that especially daemon corlys and rhaenys
Here is an Interesting one what if Rhynees actually was made queen .Would the Valerain some how end up still causing the dance of dragons ??
Visenya also probably lives
i think viserys would call it an accident and not send jace to the wall.
Please make part 2
What if Balerion was still alive
He would have been to old to do anything. Viserys says that when he flew Belserion he was worried that the old dragon would fall out of the sky
@@jaijoerik6233 Preciate it
What if Aegon Married Baela, Aemond married Haleana and Daeron Married Rhaena
Luke is the one who blinded Aemond not Jace
What if Rhaenyra and Syrax rode to rooks rest instead of Rhaenys and Meleys
Then she would suffer the same fate. I would imagine that some of her followers would melt away
this page favours the Greens all the time 😂😂😂
What if Vhagar ate Aemond?
8:49 SHE WANTS WHAAAT? 😮
what if Rhaenyra went to rooks rest with Rhaenys
What if Harwin Strong never dies?
Uhm, the kid is 10 so even if he is being punished the wall is a bit much no? Again, he is 10.
What if alicent was just a mistress
First to take the Black 🖤
Pleas part 2
What if Rhaenyra died with baby Visenya?
That would send Daemon into a rage. He would go full scorched Earth
lol all i hear is it’s still fuck alicent
Luke, the Targaryens, and the entire realm would've fared much better.
What if he dies because of trying to claim the dragon so it’s his own fault???
I would love to see that
This is a Green lovers wet dream 💀 Fic should just be called "What if the Blacks were the baddies instead?"
Para 2 pleas
I expected this to be a what if on Aemond perishing when trying to claim Vhagar. That'd be more interesting.
How I imagine the scenario
Aemond: You’re mine Vhagar!!!
Vhagar: oh look a grape
*eats him*
Vhagar having a senior moment: visenya why does the grape taste funny
Bruh this was so unnecessary 0:34
What if Aemond never claimed Vaghar and either never claimed a dragon or claimed a hatchling from Syrax as Rhyneara originally offered?
Part 2
Dude I love the channel. But I hate what ifs. They’re pointless. I love the original videos. Look forward to more of them. I’ll still give a thumbs up but I hate what ifs in all fiction
PLEASE DO A PT2
