Harbor Freight just needs to send a representative to join you 2x a year. That way you can explain what you want and need for the job, and how to make it better. They way you explained the saw and how Dave explained the speed square. I'm sure the other Men on the crew have their own thoughts. It would be go research for them. The Workforit approved line of tools.
No Pencil ? No crayón. Cats claw… the silver one with the blue rubber grip. The small and medium sized one. Great job guys! Didn’t think I could watch this😂 but I enjoyed it lol
my dad used to be all about corded tools. but i've been slowly getting him to get into the cordless tool world. its a game changer.
Same man. Been doing plumbing work with my dad since I was a kid and it used to be all corded. I’m 22 now and my dad has made the complete change over and now i probably only roll out a cord once or twice a week
i couldn’t imagine dragging around cords. i hate air nailers but use them for roofing and sub floors if i gotta shoot fast
Always enjoy and appreciate Dave's knowledge and stories of the trade.
we need a video explaining how Dave stared and everything
32:00 yep, brushless changed the game but batteries did also make a step change up to Lithium as well. The new batteries power output became greater than a standard 110v outlet and the new motors could hanel it. That was the end of most corded tools.
The setup of Lithium and Brushless came first to the R/C world and dominated immediately. I remember the first time I watched a 4wd brushless R/C car accelerate like it was yesterday. It was 2010 in a Hobby Town parking lot and was literally unbelievable without seeing it. I said that day that everything with a motor will turn battery powered electric fast now.
Here we are 14 years later and even my car is battery powered, happened fast!
My first ever tool kit I put together at Harbor Freight. It was for mechanic jobs not trade work though. I still have most of the tools over 20 years later. Heck I just used the open end wrenches a few days ago and admired how well built they are and how long the black finish has held up over the decades.
1. He should get a dedicated belt for his bag and a separate metal hoop hammer hanger.
2. Waffle headed hammers are extra fun when you hit your fingers. Can wait for that video!
3. Ryan is an awesome friend to help get his bud get setup with decent tools.
i hate tool ouches tool belts are wayyyy better don’t drag your pants down and many many more pouches to put things in.
Dave should do tool reviews all the time. Dave is awesome
In 2014 me and my brother helped our dad take on a bedroom remodel project. We bought 3 Pittsburg flat bars and 3 Pittsburg crow bars and they are still to this day after daily remodel and construction use rocking and rolling today!
"I wanted the best of everything" is an accurate statement. I try to steer towards "buy it once" mentality. Sometimes I just go overkill. Sometimes I understand that more isn't always better and vise versa. Per example, I bought the Dewalt flex volt miter saw and jobsite table saw. I originally purchased the Ridgid set. tested the table saw and noticed blade wobble. changed the blade, still had wobble. same in the miter saw. Took them back the next day and went with the dewalt set. It's been amazing! very accurate cuts and no blade wobble. That's the example of went with more because I felt it was better.
Sorry to say that Pittsburgh flat bar is going to straighten it's self out the first time you go to pull out a double set of nails out of concrete. I went thru 4 in a week working construction
This is a great video i work at a trade school and kids need to know this stuff!
Just bought my son almost the exact setup for ctc high-school class for general construction
I do hardwood flooring and LVP and I like to watch videos where yall are building and explaining how you would do it.I have been doing floors for 15 years and I still learn new shit all the time.People have different ways of doing things.
Always good when the uploads come thru! Puro WORKFORIT!!
Hey that was me in the background, minute 13:36 😂
I have been using the Bauer cordless tools from harbor freight for years now, they are a great budget friendly choice for DYI projects around the house
If you're in the rough carpentry side of the trade, a 22oz wood framing hammer is the the best. Spent many an hour framing houses and apartments over the years and it's never failed me.
Good video good to see detig remember when I got my job at a motel handy man doing the last half of construction to open for business and needed my tool belt and a box as well 2nd day I used a wheelbarrow as a saw horse and cut a sheet of plywood & through the steel bucket inch deep into the cement contractors
I know a framer is not gonna need the pull saw but I didn’t know they had those, might have to get one. I use a flushcut saw to gets pull saw
I’m new to the carpenter world and I have all Milwaukee setup. I’ve been buying one tool at a time per paycheck and now I have 5k plus in tools.
Been slowly accumulating my harbor freight setup but so far I'm a believer!
I dont know any professionals who do not shop at harbor freight. We all shop on the tool truck too but there are things you dont want to or need to spend $1000 dollars on. My harbor freight 1/2" breaker bar has outlived all my other breaker bars and never sweats at the work. Its basically for breaking loose head bolts. Every shop ive ever worked has had harbor freight floor jacks as well. They work as hard as you can work them..
10:17 interesting. My super old Craftsman Saw has a U cut out in the left side of the guard so you can see the blade from either side.
I will have to make sure if I ever upgrade it that my new one has the same. Or that I can at least cut it out in that area.
Swanson made in USA speed square is the same price as the Doyle. Would get the swanson.
Estwing is best hammer I think been do carpenter work 35 years and still use my 1st one
Starting out pawn shops have good tools I got a few tools like rigid pipe vise benders and few tools even a rigid pipe threader set complete really cheap still have them as well
Best content on youtube. LETS GOOO!
To start i work at harbor we are notified on returns to use id doesnt have to be the id of the account holder. And the issue saying it was all returned take to corporate.
For measuring tapes, i get the klein tools one, and it also has a lifetime warranty
Those cheap silver box cutters are great . I have several for cutting Sheetrock.
you should partner with harbor freight for a giveaway of a beginner tool kit for one of your subscribers going into the trades!
That's not a bad price for what he bought!! Keep up the hard work 💪🏻
Great way to end the week! Keep up the videos!
Fun video , need entry level tools to workforit
I had a battery circ saw in 2011 and it was dog shit. I just bought a 20x2 skil cir saw I’m so excited for.
Those linemen’s having that fish tap puller has helped me more then you would imagine haha but I am an electrician so yeah but it’s super helpful!
@@dakotawaugh490 good to know!
Am surprised you didn’t mention the high end hammers on the market stiletto 14oz and the top dog Martinez and a good cat’s paw
Makita has been making hydraulic impacts for a very long time now but yes, it's hard to use a normal one once you use a hydraulic
makita, metabo hpt, ryobi and ridgid also make hydraulic impact drivers and dewalt just announce a hydraulic impact driver if anyway was wonder if milwaukee was the only one that made them but i think ridgid and ryobi stopped making them even masterforce used to make one
Lineman’s pliers and iron workers pliers are two different tools. Get the right tool for the job!
I work on CAT excavators I hate knee pads but they are a must I will tell you the volley ball knee pads are great they don’t bother me like construction knee pads and you can’t tell I’m even warring them under my pants
I carry a small pair of nipex cobra pliers in my pocket everyday. They have bailed me out of a lot of problems
Can't wait to see how pops explains how knocking out power to the entire building was not his fault.
There are usually sporting goods stores next to Garbage Freight stores . Pickup a pair of boxing gloves so you do not hurt your knuckles when the wrench breaks !
Zip up the pants of the snap on truck guy when you're done
@@hunterth3118 Definitely a SICKO !
i love harbor freight, but i cant get myself to buy the drill kit, its 250 for the impact and the driver, and Milwaukee constantly goes on safe for 100 each with a battery at home depot, but im sure its a great drill tho
Brother, if your ever in NY and want to visit the HFT that i work at, Just give me a heads up highly unlikely but…….
So the circular saw you called a rt handed is actually a left hand saw, it is designed for left hand use
I def want to hear how Papa Rhino killed power to the building with the escavator
Another great video
For the price of that Hercules crab I would go with Milwaukee or Ryobi if I was on a budget.
Do you have an opinion on the Hercules 1/2 inch hammer drill yet? Is it comparable to milwaukee ?
I don’t understand why people be hating on harbor freight for a budget they got some pretty good stuff not everybody wants to be paying a crazy amount for stuff something breaks you can take it back and get a new one
Since Detig what's paying, you should have stopped and picked me up to go along.
I don't necessarily need anything, but one can always find something they need once they're at Harbor Freight ! 👍
I have an old toolbox my grandfather made out of some scrap lumber and a wooden dowel. I’ve had it now for 30+ years. I just don’t like wearing a tool belt. I catch a lot of crap for using it.
Of course we liked this video !
If you don't like tools you shouldn't be watching this channel !! 😜
I like the dewalt tough tape better than the fat max
Can you do a review on the harbor freight miter saw
Are we getting Work For It nicotine pouches?
Yes to linemans for pulling fish tape... if needed, no to spring loaded, just one more part to fail, then again I'm old
I used to only used fat Stanley measuring tapes until I tried the new crescent lufkin shock force g2 thank me later
That first hammer d picked up is shit I bent mine in half doing basic framing! Hammers are important in framing so I personally would go middle to higher end on hammers! Much love!
Correction the one he picked is crap…
Yea corded used to be king daddy but technology has evolved big time
My wife works at harbor freight I get some good deals with her employee discount
No mention of a cat paw pry bar
Harbor freight is ok for something you need once or twice but when it's constant they are junk I bought a 90 degree drill did 1 hole caught on fire bought a milwaukee finished the 4 other holes. bought icon impact sockets took 2 out and destroyed every other bolt they touched bought a set of capri took all 30 out of 32 with no issue my shop crane and jacks and rachets are good i love them but most stuff is junk
Wood handle hammer all day long. Listen to the man detiq
What up Ryno!!!
Never give a man a framing hammer then he'll want to build a wall. Vaughan hammers I think are 1 of the best. Stiletto is in my opinion is the best then Estwing on my top 3 hammers then Milwaukee framing hammer . But I agree wooden handle hammers are 1st choice. Tell Dave to patten a speed square holder for your belt. I'm tired of shoving mine in my pants in the back to hold it. Dave help I need a square holder. But everyone has a built in pencil holder. But Dennik only needs 2 things for work a broom and dustpan. I'm kidding. Tapes I only do the same as poppa Rhyno Probably used for years and years old school Stanley tape messages. Always have 2 of each.a tape at the saw and 1 on your hip.. a hammer where your working and 1 on you hip. Pencil at the saw and 1 in your ear. Always 2 set of tools out when you are working. That's what I was taught.
Funny enough I’m usually the first one on the job site and the first thing I do is clean and organize everyone’s tools. I fire up the compressor and oil the guns. I also make sure to check all batteries and put them on the chargers too!
Quality and is if functional for your need at work. Pricey and name brand tools aren't always the best. It takes money to make money. Use whatever is functional not fleshy. You don't wear air Jordan's to a construction sight. Thats how i see Milwaukee tools. The Jordan's of construction. I preferably rather have rebook tools.
What's in the back that's not on the shelfs?
2” inlet hose. They don’t keep them out at this store
@@DMAXRYNO ahhh gotcha 🤙🏼,
DeBoss UA-cam patented his own tape with digital recorder so u can record multiple measurements and play them back when marking
Pops always said it’s not the tools it’s the person. Harbor freight is the way to go
the Milwaukee M18 brushless combo is 150 cheaper
Is there a way to send you things? I work for a building supply company and would like to send you some small items?
We do have a PO BOX! Shoot me an email or Instagram dm
Dumb questiom..what kind of puddy knife?
Looks like Dave had an 1 1/2 flat blade stiff putty knife from Home Depot.
@@The_Beautiful_People so just a puddy knife? It's not a brand right?
@@209Control yes just a thick, non flexible putty knife. Dave’s looks like the HUSKY brand Home Depot sells.
@The_Beautiful_People thank you. I was watching on my busted phone so I couldn't really tell.
I agree with Dave on the knee pads they will save you in the long run
Dave in a shirt shocking 😳
I have been a big Milwaukee guy for i’d say the past 5 years but I recently just got into the Hercules brand and I have been using Pittsburgh tools for years so I upgraded to Icon, I have done construction, Mechanics, Metal working and fabrication, Harbor Freight is my go to, 1 because my store will warranty anything, 2 the price is phenomenal, If Harbor Freight came out with an American line I would never buy anyone else again.
Some stuff is USA made
Or if you pay with a debit card and do a return it doesn’t go back to your account it is cash instead
Bought a corded grinder at HF that lasted 15 years and paid 15 dollars
We dypically do all types of work lol
Watch out for the train! 21:28
I buy the first hammer he grab all the time for scraping
dewalt >>> for carpentry also don’t need a tool for the multi tool and the tool kits aren’t much difference in price
Let's goo
Gonna start calling you Hercules, because you've been starting to sound like a Harbor Freight tool with all these promotions for them lately.
@@jesseneumeyer4279 Hercules is a great nickname, I accept.
Sweet
He forgot the cat paw 😳 to add to the tools
Harbor freight is definitely are great starter tools and home owner tools but there is a reason why they make cheep copies of the high quality tools and not making their own designs…
milwaukee multi tool doesnt require a tool to swap a blade
What happened to West
It’s called a worm drive not a rear handle lol
They’re definitely referred to as both…….

They never turn into cash. It stays as store credit. Lol
I’m early today lol
It's called a waffle face hammer
I'm still a die hard skilsaw man myself
Good to see harbor freight hiring at least 1 hot girl good job harbor freight please hire babes !!!
Cool video. Dirty people throwing trash on the ground
you should call it the "ewwaukee" from now on haha
Hammer head dimple pattern is a waffle.
