Hi Pru , Been using kumihimo ever since I saw you on JM ,,. I find this a very relaxing hobby , giving most of the braids away as gifts ,, when mixing epoxy I use Pringle lids , there are other containers that have similar lids ,, when set , just bend the lid and the glue falls off ,,. Regards Alf
What a wonderfully produced video, everything thought through and very clear instructions, I have just started on the Prumihimo journey and am very grateful for your first class tutorials...many thanks indeed :)
Excellent tutorial, very easy to follow and you are going at a perfect speed. I can’t tell how many times I have had to stop and go back over instructions on other tutorials because they are explaining way too fast! Thank you for your time🙏
Thank you for sharing your techniques. I find you to be a very good teacher and I enjoy listening to you , I only wish I would have viewed these videos before I made all of my Christmas presents, it would have saved me a lot of grief!
Very Helpful video, thank you Pru. I have a question. I am using E6ooo at the moment. I am following the instructions in your book on Kumihimo endings, using glue. You recommend putting glue on the end of the braid then waiting for it to dry but not get hard. Roughly how long does this drying take? Half an hour? Or one or two hours? It would be very useful to know.
Hello Pru, I have just found all your beautiful videos and your website - I have just discovered kumihimo and am hooked! I would like to order your book and a Prumihimo disc but your website tells me it’s unavailable, is that right? Many thanks.
I know this video is a little old but I absolutely died at the way you pronounced macramé! Otherwise I’ve been bingeing all your videos and I love them.
Brilliant thank you. One question please, why do you use the glue on the braid, then cut with scissors as opposed to using a thread burner? Would the glue method be stronger?
I think it is more a matter of personal preference than strength. I like to use glue because I find it easy to control and see if the braid is properly sealed before I cut it. I know that lots of people like to use burners to melt the braid and it should be perfectly secure, as long as you are sure that all the cords have been melted together. If you want to use this method I suggest getting a CORD burner, rather than a thread burner, because they are bigger and stronger.
Is it the pearl bracelet I wear in the giveaway draw video? I would love to do a video tutorial for it. It is made on my Prumihimo disk. I also have other bracelets using pearls planned.
Wonderful instructions, thank you!

Excellent tutorial Pru - thoroughly enjoyed it
Thank you so much Jan. You may be amused to know that my cats had to be locked out during the filming because they tried to get way too involved!

Yeah, I can't wait for the pearl turtorial😉
Can you make a video about what types of fasteners to use?
That was a great video!!!
Very useful. I wish I’d seen this before I took up Kumihimo. The tutorials from other so called experts cost me a lot of wasted cord, glue and time!
I know this video is a little old but I absolutely died at the way you pronounced macramé! Otherwise I’ve been bingeing all your videos and I love them.
I know what you mean because I find the American pronunciation of macrame very amusing!
how long should my cord be for a 6.5 inch bracelet? and many size 6 and size 8 seed beads per inch?
What kind of thread are you using
Very informative.
It is good to hear that you found it informative. Thank you Prakash.
Hi. Love your tutorials. Is it possible for a tutorial on the last bracelet shown, the green one. It’s beautiful 😍
Pachese F. - Thank you. I don’t have a tutorial for this one yet, but I hope to get one filmed later in the year.
Prumihimo Thank you for replying! I bought your disk and book today and I’m looking forward to a new learning venture. 😍😍
Pachese F. Yes, I love that green bracelet too! It immediately caught my eye! I would love a tutorial for that one too!
Pachese F. Do u know if she ever did make that particular tutorial?
It is on its way to you!

Thank you. Will try the glue method as you have mentioned.

Could I use E6000 or GS Hypo cement instead of the epoxy?
Yes you can, but be sure to observe the full drying and curing time, as advised by the manufacturer.
No closeup of the glue products she is describing. Not very helpful
My aim is to suggest types of glue, rather than individual brands.
Got my disk today, I just finished my first braid....I love it❤
Well done. I just know it will be the first of many.
