Not sure what was done to the exhaust but its way too droney, and the constant poping 🤦♂️

The constant popping is probably from an ECU tune, not exhaust-related but software.
Some lazy work on the exhaust, just delete everything and you get a lot of noise. I had this drone too when I tried it without the mid and rear muffler, annoying as hell. And that was even with the OPF. Besides it actaully sounds better like it is now, the if I also remove the rear muffler.
And as far as the pops go.... I really don’t understand why it’s a thing. I much prefer a genuine pop than a constant rumbling noise.
It’s definitely funny when they get salty when you say that and tell you that you are just jealous. It’s literally just tune in the software, even a car with less than 200hp can pop like crazy and be obnoxiously loud.

That exhaust might be nice for a week, after that it would drive me crazy.
I think five minutes would be enough. I’d be embarrassed to drive it anywhere other than an empty road in the middle of nowhere...

@super hessu it doesen’t sound bad.. I mean it’s all about the taste but I got the car with the same engine and stock everything and it sounds nice! Btw that’s an inline 4.. not the V6 and not the v4

The pops and bangs mapping is way too much, would annoy me in less than a day and the exhaust drones too much as well. Other than that, great build

@@Usernameunkown123 in this case..you have a clever ecu tuner...and adjusted the water temp target to 90-92C degree...instead of the factory 103-105C.

It annoys me that the rpm is limited by default. No possibility to check for issues when stationary.

I had a wartburg 353w deluxe...with floor shifter. That was my go to fishing car. Realy realy love it and have only good memories about it!!!

The sound itself actually is quite nice for 4 cylinders, but the pops and bangs tune is just way too much. Put that down and replace it with a more conservative tune and it will sound nice

Quick car - but it sounds like that video of a guy replicating a 'v10' sound with a crushed beer can.
I would surely tear my hair out in about 5 min of ownership, the idea of something like a Golf R to me is having a pretty fast car but the comfort, ownership of something like a everyday hatch. Bets of both worlds, it can absolutely still be fats and pushing those numbers without driving you mad. I suppose it is not driving you mad though, hence taking the window down, stopping in that tunnel etc, I understand you think it's pretty cool banging about and that's fine we are all different but me I would much prefer a more laid back, non popping exhaust.
Fine to make it sound a bit better (more) than stock exhaust, but all a balancing act, power, comfort aso.
