Absolutely agree, I moved to Islington when I was 21 in the early 80's and had the best time of my life, brought up two children there, enjoyed all the concerts and clubs..so many evenings spent at the Black Cap in Camden and The Electric Ballroom..as we got older , theatre and museum trips got added in, I was a goth and clothes shopping at Camden Lock and Carnaby street were favourite pastimes, again in later years, it was more Columbia Road Market an Alley Pally Garden Centre as we moved across to Hackney to renovate a house. At 41, life changed and those changes culminated in me moving down to The Isle of Wight , where I remain in a tiny, one church, one inn, and two shops village,. The village consists of one longish road with a very few offshoots, one end of The road is farmland and the other, the sea. I'm in my 60's now and am pretty happy here but how I miss those old London days....sadly, the years pass quickly when you aren't paying attention and what you thought would be for ever is long gone....So as Jason says, Hannah, stay for as long as it suits, and I might add, stay a little longer than that even..enjoy your youth, enjoy London and when /you stereo leave, make sure you have a whole gamut load of memories to take with you! x 😊👍🇬🇧
I’m from the U.S. and just took my teenagers to London for 2 weeks in January. We are so jealous of how affordable and delicious all of your food is! We live in California and a basic turkey sandwich from a decent deli with very basic ingredients is about 14 British Pounds and if there are truffles or smoked salmon, more like 20 pounds. My kids had a blast ordering all the food and pastries they wanted knowing it was back to homemade food when we got home! I already miss London. Such a fun place to be.
I miss the gloomy weather in the UK. I am from Sri Lanka and everyday is almost the same. Sun shines beautifully, but it's too hot to walk outside. (Generally 30C and quite humid). You may not understand it, but having seasons, and having good and bad weather make you appreciate the good days more.
We complain about the rain, cold, heat above 21°, on and on, but it gives us something to talk about, and look forward to, as everyone gets their perfect day eventually.
Brit here, and I love London. I just love London Vlogs - it may be a gloomy grey weather day but you still have the architecture and street life. London is an amazing destination city full of history and historical places. Keep Vlogging the delights of our amazing Capitol City. x
Wow! I have always wanted to take the Abbey Road Studios tour. I think the English grey is beautiful, in a haunting, melancholy way. It's a good time to find a pub with a fireplace! Thanks for the tour!
As American tourists, we often ate from local shops and delis - more choices, healthier and less expensive than restaurants. That shop looks amazing! Pret was a standard stop for us too - cheap and located everywhere. The little shops with fruit and veg are fantastic too. I much prefer that kind of shop to our giant supermarkets here. Love your videos, Hannah. Please keep going!
Thank you, thank you, thank you for bringing London and its outskirts to all of us! I found your videos during the Pandemic and they have continued to bring joy ever since. I visited London in 1983 on a high school choir trip from California and looking forward to seeing it again. Thank you again for bringing positivity and humor to us!
That was a lovely cosy vlog Hannah, showing us your neighbourhood, so many gorgeous little shops and restaurants - it's never really grey in good old London Town x
Here's the thing. Your videos are fun to watch thanks in a proper good measure to your personality. You are outgoing, upbeat, and so relaxed conversationally time given to watching your videos is like time spent with a bestie. Wherever you take us, whatever you're doing it's fun and informative. Cheers.
A trip exploring London neighbourhoods is time well spent. I so enjoy your cozy presentation of the various areas around the city. Thanks for all the time and effort you expend to give us such interesting and fun vlogs.
Hannah I would watch anything you put up. It’s always so soothing just walking along with you and listening to your local knowledge. And as I’m from Australia 🇦🇺 and it’s 36 degrees today, your grey clouds look great. At the end of the day it’s really just your personality that people love. So sweet and funny. Take care till next week. !!!!!!!
Yay, it's out n about with Hannah vlog - the best kind imo💖! These are the types of vlogs that take me away from ordinary life! You're so lucky to live in London, don't move Hannah!!! Best wishes 😚
Don't leave London. I lived in NYC for many years and recently moved upstate. I miss the city terribly. Nothing can beat the ability to walk out your door and have the vibrancy of the city at your fingertips.
It depends on what you enjoy/like/can actually cope with. I am so overwhelmed by noise and people in my city I would do almost anything to live somewhere like the cute village I grew up in. London/New York = my idea of hell.
Hannah - oh geez on my fellow countrymen who complains about gray days- it is called weather. I love London and really appreciate your vlogs - all content. 😊 interested in the hair product you mentioned 🧐have a happy week 💖
Home is where the heart is.❤Realistically what can one get for a million pounds? A transparent brolly is perfect for a vlogger like you, Hannah! I always enjoy when you take us in the stores and restaurants and show us the prices. Regardless of the weather. Take care Hannah and happy valentines! Please be careful when riding those e bikes in heavy London traffic. I worry about you. See you next Friday! 😉
Thanks for showing us around the neighborhood. Love seeing the different parts of London you take us to. I’m glad you’re still giving us great content at the beginning of the year, because we need the uplifting vlogs.
=I'm so glad you're walking around St. John's Wood, I graduated from the American School in London in the neighborhood. I spent so much time wandering those streets. I miss London so much!
Hi Hannah, loves seeing around your neighbourhood. It’s so cozy and village like . I also loved seeing the cabbie hut lunch spot. I didn’t know that’s what they were for. I’ve seen the. But I didn’t know what they were for. They are so cute . Abbey rd area was great to see aswell. I remember watching Ab Fab , and seeing Patsy and Eddie doing an episode there. Thanks for your hard work putting these blogs together. Lots of love from Australia . ❤
I'm not having anyone saying anything bad about London - best city in the world. May not be the most picturesque (although pretty close) but it has everything - DO NOT leave London! Paul McCartney story is so funny! Thank you so much for taking us along - you're the best! January is pretty grey in most cities in the Northern Hemisphere -at least you don't have feet of snow. London, to me, is perfect!
Hi Hannah, loved this vlog! Rain or shine, it's always great to see around London! It's fun looking at places for sale...doesn't cost anything to dream! 😊 Bring on the shopping videos...they are great! But really, all your videos are wonderful and interesting! Thank you for sharing, have a wonderful weekend! Take really good care, stay well! Lots of love Kathy x 💖
I was an American ex-patriot living in St. John’s Wood back in the mid 80’s, I loved it. Every morning I would wake up very early in the morning for run through Regents Park before work, slice of heaven.
The food, delis, store fronts, decor, old history of the streets, the Paul McCartney blurb,( thank god he’s alright), spell magic to the hum drum City. So much history in London- always something to see and do.
Hannah, nicely done as always. I like seeing London on an overcast day. It's easier to visualize and enjoy the sights. Keep up the good work. You'll be at 100K subs in no time. Your friend Mike.
Absolutely loved your video, you make them so interesting. My career of nursing took me to London and I lived there for about 3yrs and watching your videos brings back lovely memories of that time. I think you’ll stay in London as you’re so passionate about the different areas etc which in turn makes it interesting for us to watch. Take care Tiffany 💐
Overcast in February? Nothing different in the San Francisco Bay Area. Well, it could be foggy instead, and as the old saying goes, “The sun can’t be out every day.’ Thank you Hannah and keep posting 🎉
Stay in London for as long as it suits you, Hannah. I lived in London all my life, and then at 40 decided I wanted to move on, and I haven't regretted it. I think you know when it's time to go. Loved your stroll around about your neighbourhood! Btw, Timpson's (key cutters and show repairs) sell a pretty sturdy transparent umbrella. Thanks, Hannah!
Another stunning vlog! Some really wonderful stores around there. If you do decide to move out of London, please could you continue to vlog... and make awesome trips into town so we can continue the magic? Pretty please 😉😇😎
I live in the North, which i love, hills, streams, animals, villages and space. But i also love London. The vibe, history, buildings, diverse etc... just came back after a couple days visit. Wish i was younger, id do the city life.
Hannah you are one of my favourite UA-camrs and your videos are always first class. This one was great as usual. I would be interested to see the Sky Garden as I am hoping to do that the next time that I'm in London. I have been to London countless times since I was very young but I love the place so much that I keep coming back time and time again and I think that I always will. I just never tire of it and find new things to do every time I come.
Living in British Columbia Canada, we get visitors that say the same. I’d rather have grey once in a while than unbearable hot and sunny. Besides, that’s why we have nicer skin with less wrinkles! We embrace our grey and rain.❤
Thanks Hannah, always love the walk arounds! I can’t wait for Spring and longer days! Love the visits to the shops, food selection is awesome, those Hershey Kisses were very expensive! it’s almost lunch for me and now I’m hungry! If you can stay in London do! Give it a few more years and enjoy it!
Another enjoyable video... your walks and ramblings on, about the area, weather, cost of stuff, fashion, is just so relaxing. You are you, a naturally enthusiastic person out and about. Love it. Thanks.
We just returned from a few weeks in London and only had a bit of rain on one day. Coming from Canada and -40 wind chills, snow and frost bite weather…..we thoroughly enjoyed the gray days in London and being able to enjoy walking, eating outside and the fresh air! We had a wonderful time and would return any day! Thank you for the video! 😊
You said it Hannah....cosy, local vibes....just perfect for winter watching. This was so enjoyable and how I'd love to live where I could just step out of my house and into all that life. The choice of food looks amazing, please stay in London and we can all live vicariously through your vlogs xx
Thank you very much for the Jan/Feb vlogs... for that matter all! It is nice to see the general streets, shops & restaurants, life, culture and feel of a neighbourhood. Real life and the vibe of a community. There is so much going on, as people go about their life and day. Yes, great to see feature sites, but a neighbourhood gives you a setting for the what the areas is. Oh, and looking forward to Kew; have never been but is definitely on my list. Thank you again!
This was the perfect vlog. It's my dream to live in London and it's the local shops and markets that I'm interested in. I'd love to see your local weekend farmers market. Love from Australia.
Another brilliant vlog. I love buying American food particularly Reese’s. My choice for the front of a house would be a light blue or a mint green, something that looks cheerful even when it’s grey and overcast.
Thanks Hannah, definitely love your walking vlogs around the local areas and your shopping vlogs. I’m coming over to London from Australia for 2 weeks in March/April and these get me excited and give me some good inspiration! As I have been to to the UK before and done the touristy stuff keen to do a bit more as the locals do (also eat and drink a lot 😊).
I LOVE London on gray days!!! I live in Pennsylvania in the U.S. but was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and winters are gray in the northeast!! I can’t stand hearing people complain how gray it is or cold it is in WINTER!!! It’s winter!!! I love the seasons and every time we’ve visited London has always been early to mid winter and tea, Shepherds pie, steak pie all that tastes so good on a cold day it’s so cozy!!! Embrace what each season offers they don’t last long. I love London!! What a fun little tour!!
Hi Hannah it was amazing watching your vlog.got to learn many new things from london.the weather was so nice and pleasant, was happy to see everything and everyone being at peace and working for their well-being.also to remember about the foods that you showed on the vlog,it looked delicious and tasty.everthings looks very calm and beautiful that is the people/shops/the weather/climate etc. Thanks for making us know about your life in London.it was fun watching your vlog 🙂 Hope to see your next video's soon Till then stay happy and healthy ☺️
This vlog is so cool! I would spend hours visiting all those nice places. They are so full of history, stories and culture, but also beautiful houses and architectures, just as the old church. Visiting the famous Abbey Road and the studio is a "must" for tourists. And all those bakeries and food stores really have a very good variety of products, really amazing and yummy. Have a wonderful friday Hannah!
Hi Hannah! Loved this vlog. I was a fan of the lockdown vlogs you did when you visited the mews etc. Fantastic. I absolutely love how eclectic London is. A victorian church, a brand new mansion...and then a fly over!Fabulous. Hope your well, and enjoying 2023. Ps ,you can't leave London...ever😂. Much good karma from Yorkshire 🥂🤍🇬🇧
Greetings from Georgia, in the USA. I was in London last year in February and I loved the gray weather. I also love London, and would move there in a minute if I could. Thanks for the tour!
Hannah what a wonderful neighborhood you live in!!! My vote re you moving from London would be "NO"!!! All of the beautiful architecture, as well as the amazing variety of shops & stores make it such a desireable area to live in! Thx for sharing the different types of businesses that are so unique to London, as well as a hint of American product influence. This vlog was really great, as a inside view to your neighborhood area, & I appreciate you selecting this topic to share with us this week! Thx again Hannah for another terrific vlog, & I look forward to seeing you again next week! In the meantime Hannah, have a nice weekend!!!
I loved your video❤ It’s lovely to see all the shops, sights and scenery and activities around different areas. There are some amazing places to visit! The cupcakes caught my eye🧁 You could easily spend an afternoon in one street. I think you would miss London if you moved. Everything is on your doorstep and there’s so much entertainment. Your video was excellent, as always 😊
Some Americans give the rest of us a bad name. We are a military family who lived in Pinner from 2009-2012. Before moving there, we heard that it *rains most of the time in London.* We found that not to be the case, however, and rather enjoyed our three years living there. It was fairly similar to our weather cycle in North Carolina - summers are wonderful and winter can be grey. We didn't focus on the weather anyway. We were too busy enjoying all the sights, museums, food, etc.
I probably will never be able to visit London, so I thoroughly enjoyed this vlog! Even though it is cloudy, it is still beautiful! Always love seeing the food as well!
Just watched this posting. Amazed at the prices of everything. I would guess that it is on average around 40% more expensive than it is up here in Liverpool and some things are at least double! Really good to see round the shops though. Terrific choice of food. Mike Rickett
Many thanks, Hannah, You have some of the best vlogs content on UA-cam imho. Your videos are always interesting and varied. I don't think anyone can call your videos boring Hannah. Why would u consider leaving London? It's one of the best cities in the world. So much to see and do in London. See u on the next video.
I loved this video, I grew up in violet hill and you actually showed m childhood home, I also used to babysit in the purple house as a teenager although it was a much more subtle colour back then.
I've never visited London, but seeing your vlogs and other peoples also it looks amazing, magical almost!! ✨️✌🏾🍻 PS: You brighten London right up anyway! 🙂
Nice tour of your neighbourhood Hannah and I love the mix of Delis and independent shops which makes it a good Area to live.I also love the Beigels and get mine up brick lane market on a Sunday.Videos are great whatever the weather and hope you enjoyed Babylon!!!
This is my absolute favourite kind of video. Love seeing different London neighborhoods and architecture
Glad you enjoyed it!
@@HannahRicketts my fav kind of video as well. Now I want to go to Maida Vale 😊
To add on that , Hannah is a great company to hang around with for a stroll around.
I feel like the title is misleading because Maida vale and St. John’s wood isn’t the average looking London area…. The average person cannot afford to live here, you won’t find these shops in more diverse areas…
As a former Londoner I would say stay as long as it works for you. I now live in a quiet village by the sea in Kent, it suits but oh my god do I sometimes miss being young and having fiun in town. I loved my london life lived down south but spent a lot of time in Hampstead/ Belsize park and camden. The memories I have of those days I will cherish for a lifetime. Beautiful..thank you both of you ❤
Great I love to kent
Contrary to what you may think, Sodom and Gomorrah lifestyle is not what God wanted for His children
Me too used to live in same area god those days never forgotten.
I’m American and would love to see London whether it’s gray or sunny ! From ohio USA
Please, don't leave London. The
Smoke is heavenly. And your witty vlogs really lift an overcast afternoon!🌞

Me as well
You’re sweet
same here London is my 2nd home!
Me too. There is more to see in London, I would not miss the sun at all.
I love watching London walking tours on UA-cam and find the grey, rainy days to be so comforting and relaxing.

Enjoy all the variety of videos you make. Variety is good. Enjoyed them all…especially in January and February!🎉🎉🎉

What a fun tour! I would love to live in London! And I would not mind the weather at all.
I love the Blue Plaques! I'm a serious plaque reader. I so enjoy the unexpected history of the buildings.
Greetings from Georgia, in the USA. I was in London last year in February and I loved the gray weather. I also love London, and would move there in a minute if I could. Thanks for the tour!
Still watching here Ms. Hannah and thank you much for another interesting excursion of your beautiful city
I really enjoy roaming about with you. I to love Londons architecture. Love the different shops and the TAXIO stop!
Hi Hannah thanks for showing us around ! Looks lovely area, and those cake shops 😋, Caroline Ireland 🇮🇪
I've taken to liking your videos even before I press play as I know they are always going to cheer me up.
I always love your vlogs! We are planning our trip and now I have some more things I'd like to see and experience. Thanks!
"You're not gonna starve in this area; you're just gonna go broke in the process." I laughed so hard!
Me too.
Hannah, your vlogs have been amazing! I miss London so much! I loved living in London! Thank you!
I probably will never be able to visit London, so I thoroughly enjoyed this vlog! Even though it is cloudy, it is still beautiful! Always love seeing the food as well!
Beautiful woman, very well spoken, love this video!wish more people were vibrant and positive like you, keep doing what your doing!🙏🙂
Just watched this posting. Amazed at the prices of everything. I would guess that it is on average around 40% more expensive than it is up here in Liverpool and some things are at least double! Really good to see round the shops though. Terrific choice of food.
