I've been complaining for years that WOTC should support frog tribal. I'm just glad that for paper magic, I have more frogs to choose from, even though I had been hoping for sultai frogs and not just simic frogs.
I thought I was watching MTG video but somehow got to see F1 race, LUL. Great strategy, tactics and great piloting. You are truly THE Champion, Luka! And thanks is in order of course.
Grolnok even without this event is absolutely BONKERS in EDH, and this makes me remember the Grolnok+Slogurk+Insidious Roots deck I banged out before Standard rotation, it was awesome
It's a little thing, but glad you alternated the mirror matches against other Grolnoks! I knew there'd be a lot, so kudos to playing enough to play against other commanders too
Thanks for sharing this decklist LVD - really appreciate it. None of my opponents stuck around after turn 4. Allowed me to complete my quests super fast.
I immediately realized that Grolnok would most likely be insane in that event - and I was not disappointed. Never played with that card before, but oh God - did it rock !
The funniest thing you can do in this format is probebly scute swarm in combination with maskwood nexus. Giving all your non-legendary creatures the scute swarm ability seems fun😂
I just ran this for the midweek event. When this deck goes off, it really goes off. I got a little overwhelmed when I had >50% of my deck in exile, but my opponents were mostly good sports and let me go off. Tons of fun. I'll probably do my dailies with this deck tomorrow. Thanks for sharing your brew.
Now I understand why everyone was playing this today. I took some really long turns against it with my Flubs the fool. Every oppo was extra patient, viewers of this channel are extra cool !
I ran Slogurk in my deck. Giving Grolnok his abilities was op. Also used 1 mana hexproof and unblockable creatures to take advantage of those abilities
Pretty sweet! I built a Grolnok combo brawl deck a while ago that involved a shitload of persistent petitioners and cards like intruder alarm to deck myself fast, Azusa type effects to try and play all those lands and once I decked myself I’d try to cast the thassas oracle that I’d inevitably mill
I've been playing a thalia gitrog stacks life gain deck that has been recking lol but grolbock can still be hard to overcome. This has been a great event I really loved it
this card has great synergy with echoing equation. You can turn all of your creatures into grolnok. So if you have grolnok and 4 others you can mill 75. Also the front side is a creature so it gets croaked and you just cast the sorcery.
ive been getting consistent turn 2-3 wins with the blue green black one so i can run not dead after all effects, in this event anything that returns a creature after it dies +2 frogs can draw your deck. 1 frog that returns next time it dies, play the other, gains the ability and draws, frog 1 returns, rinse and repeat! super easy to assemble too, if you wanna get the best winrate highly recco that lol
