Bobby Heenan, Ted Dibiase, Iron Sheik. The problem with Kaufman is that he couldn't wrestle. I understand that being a heel is 95% personality, but if you can't sell the wrestling aspect at all, it takes something away. I'll take the Sheik as the best ever. I was at a match of his in '84 where I honestly thought someone in the crowd would harm him. Nobody brought heat like him, nobody.

How anyone older than 10 could think this was not staged, or at least scripted back then is beyond me. Entertaining no doubt though. Kaufman was genius.

His comedy concerning wrestling was not comedy at all but him living a Dream of being a pro wrestler and heal. He could have and should have done it better. Even Robin Williams, the comedian, shook his head and said in an interview he did not know what he was doing with the wrestling incident. meaning it was a bad idea and poorly executed.
Andy's hairdo is what takes this interview over the top. The hairdo is hilarious. Man I miss these days. Great comedy. Great times.
