Crystal Creek is a tributary to the Gros Ventre River, part of Wyoming's Snake River watershed. A rough road will by-pass the first few miles of private land and take you to where it runs thru the national forest. A trail follows it for many miles and the cutthroats run larger than average for this medium-small stream.

Did you see any grizzly/sign?
Not on this stream but most other area streams yes. Carry bear spray.
Great looking stretch of water. I hope you all in Wyoming arent experiencing the low water / drought conditions like we are in Utah.
Welcome to God's Country...
and...Grizzly Country! I pray you caught more than one fish! Blessings, Gary R USAF-RETIRED
I’ve kayaked that gorge at spring run off .. beautiful area
Now this is my kind of back country fly fishing! The Gros Ventre is on my list this summer and now so is Crystal Creek. Thanks for the preview!
That reaction to that cutt was classic. Glad you got him in that bent hook!
Such a Beautiful place!
I thoroughly enjoyed your video on Crystal creek. Do you remember if the road to the Crystal Creek Campground is relatively good for any two-wheel drive vehicle? I understand you said the spur road following Crystal Creek up toward the narrow canyon was rough.
You can safely reach CC campground in a passenger car.
Can you also reach the CC trailhead in a passenger car, or is high clearance required? You said it was rough..but passable in a car?@@CoppersmithStudios1
@@tmitchellis the road to the trailhead is not suitable for a passenger car.
Man that would have been a nice dinner! Do you keep any of your fish?
When fishing streams that are not stocked I usually let my trout go. This section of the Crystal River is not stocked.
