How difficult is the drive into this area? Would an SUV with 8 inch clearance be able to make it to this remote place. I noticed that some of the roads are Forest Service and I have some bad memories making mistakes getting on those type of roads in Colorado.
I did it in a rav4 once. It's a pretty nice gravel road. Some of the roads that shoot off toward the river have bigger holes but you can pick and choose what to do there.

You will be fine. That valley up there is super scenic. Definitely worth it. Not sure when the snow is clear or if there is winter maintenance up there

How do you use your DS2?
That was the fist rod I purchased a while ago.
Smaller streams mostly. It's only 8' so it has a little less reach. Also don't fish it much if I'm hiking in since it's a two piece rod.
