As for the spark plug seals, you installed it correctly. When you remove the valve cover and look on the underside, you're supposed to only see the rubber, not the metal inserts of the seal.
I just came across your channel because I got some G2 paint and came across your video using that paint. So yea I’m binge watching your channel haha. One thing I will say is I would have went with black only because I have an OCD with certain colors not being the same shade. For example flat red such as powder coat and then gloss red I can’t stand. That’s just me though. Loving the videos!
Hey. My car is a mini me build y7block with y8 head with vtec every one hating on me till vtec hits and a smile shows up on their face keep going bro looks great
Dude man the videos you make are awesome brotha. Knowing that I can see your videos on what you do to your ride just keeps giving me wanted do more things with my civic. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
That's amazing. If I had extra money I wouldn't mind get it professionally done. Unfortunately I probably won't ever so i would have to do it myself. Lol. If I ever do hopefully it comes out almost as good and it lasts in the vehicle.
I always find it funny, when I think about your (on any vloggers) neighbors. They wake up, mind their own business, look out of the window and see some dude with a camera on his head, talking to his car :V
I really think you should make a wall for the air intake. You have to block that off from the engine because it's gonna keep sucking I. Hot air which isn't good. Idk man couldn't stop thinking about while I was watching the vid
I love these videos so much, i think for a cleaner engine bay maybe get a new radiator cap, auxbeam leds dont require all that bulky wiring in the bay, ect. Just few small parts haha id like to see videos like that, also maybe new headlights Ctr style?
You can see near the front right side there is his ground going to the power steering pump bracket. Doesn't matter if it's on the cover or anywhere on the block
I forgot to seal my corners on my civic and it slowly leaks. Not the worst deal ever but it makes the block just look gross😂 your build is coming along bro, I say next you should take out all the interior trim and spray it with clear coat to make it pop. Should be really easy.
Hey i cant really tell cause your shots are slightly moving most of the time but do you have a body kit on there and if you do,where did you get it and do you have any problems with scraping?
Can you add the bumper fog lights? It would be a really cool video to show and explain to people how the wiring for that is and how to do it to their cars
@@ALLDAYANTHONY You're right, it all depends on the car they're on and the colors of the accents, I've seen some Electric Blue Pearl Civics with black housings and yellow tinted lamps that look absolutely gorgeous but then seen OEM Chrome johnny's that look nasty. It's all a battle of making the car look nice not rice :)
The ground wire was connected to the power steering pump bracket from the beginning. Also, that spot he kept pointing to on the valve cover is NOT a ground location, that is the bolt hole for the RHD throttle cable bracket. If you ground at the valve cover, you are supposed to put the wire under one of the nuts that secure the valve cover to the head (in between it and the grommet, obviously). The valve cover is completely isolated from the head by the valve cover gasket, the spark plug well gaskets, and the grommets under the nuts that hold the valve cover on, so attaching a ground wire to it will not ground it to the engine as it is completely separated by rubber components.
I used VHT wrinkle red and it lasted about two years before it started peeling. Now I'm running it bare aluminum again with just a little red inside the Honda logo.

If that is a baffle in that valve cover and they sandblasted it without removing it, I wouldn't use that valve cover. The leftover media can blow engines.
Make a box around your cold air intake to block the heat from your engine bay it would make a great video for cheap 👍🏼
I’ll look into it!

You definitely installed the spark plug tube seals correctly! That's how they come from Honda and that's how I've always done mine
Just got a 00 Honda Civic EX and I'm addicted to your channel now!

They are getting harder and harder to find nowadays!

I love that the entire process is in one video. Most Vloggers have 3 different videos for the same part.
This one was a bit easier to knock out in one video. Can’t say the same for some of my other videos haha
Bro you sound so much like Chrisfix but anyway great videos keep em coming.
Will do!
I was thinking that too right as he dropped a swear then I was like nvm 😂😂
chrisfix would have DIY this paint job! lol

Totally in love with the civic build and im curious to see content on the evo
I’ll have some evo stuff soon! Check out some of my older stuff in the meantime!
Spark plug tube seals are to be installed with the recessed area, with the spring, facing the valve cover. Rounded part will go down over the tubes.
What is your take on fog lights and will you be installing them on your build
The civic looks so clean, thanks for saving her
Damn they have very good detailing skills can't wait for this project to progress further
Thanks man!
these guys seem really nice people. great work guys!!
You did a good job 👍🏻 Keep up the good work with your Honda You get props over here bro

Awesome video man! That valve cover was a great find!
I was so happy when I found it!
I enjoyed the music, reminds me of Napoleon Dynamite a little. (Song that played when valve cover was removed)
Love that, congrats on your cover..
the way he has the spark plug tube seals is the correct way. that's the way they come from factory.
Looks great bro! Congrats!

You put those seals in the correct way, your fine

@ all the ground wire guys
Not sure, but I checked when he opened the hood, I didn't even see a ground wire on the old valve cover 🤔
You can see near the front right side there is his ground going to the power steering pump bracket. Doesn't matter if it's on the cover or anywhere on the block
You don’t HAVE to have a ground wire on the block, I just didn’t like that the threading was painted over
@@ALLDAYANTHONY that ground is for your alternator. It's best to have it

Yo i have a d16y8 engine as will but i have a question at the junkyard did you take that valve cover off of a ex honda civic 2000
They did a good job! 👌🏼
Dude accord looks clean
Looks perfect man
The ground wire is connected to his power steering pump.
You should get a set of red spark plug wires to match your cover.
if you're thinking of MSD wires, no. They are GARBAGE.
I forgot to seal my corners on my civic and it slowly leaks. Not the worst deal ever but it makes the block just look gross😂 your build is coming along bro, I say next you should take out all the interior trim and spray it with clear coat to make it pop. Should be really easy.
Yea man I have the same engine I need that valve cover D16y8 VTEC
That looks awesome!
Thanks man
Thought about the rear disc conversion huh
hi man , nice video ! i wait for more ! man change u exaust manifold for 4-1 , to more horse power and better sound.. greetings from POLAND man !
Thank you for watching!!
How much did you pay for your s2k steering wheel?
Is Honda bond that important. I installed new valve gasket without it years ago and 0 leaks
I think it’s just extra insurance to prevent leaks
That dude looks just like the son from Pawn Stars
Hey i cant really tell cause your shots are slightly moving most of the time but do you have a body kit on there and if you do,where did you get it and do you have any problems with scraping?
No body kit. Just have a front lip on the bumper
ALLDAYANTHONY would be able to provide a link to where you got that lip from. Im working on setting up a similar setup to what you have.
That looks so good !!!
I think so too!
ALLDAYANTHONY thanks for replying it got me hyped for next video keep up the good work man!
I looked up Finesse Works on google and it says they are permanently closed.
Is your civic a vtec engine or are just putting a vtec cover on it
It’s a vtec engine

What do you use for your POV camera ?
I use a GoPro hero 4 black
Can you swap that engine that you got the valve cover from. Should’ve taken the VTEC head and put onto your engine
I already have vtec lol
