  • Auto Fanatic New Winter Wash 2023. Each Year I do these videos and I change up my processes and techniques a bit. This year I once again did things a little different from last. First I modified my chassis cleaner to shoot foam to do a better job cleaning the underside. Second I have experimented with this tip for months was adding Auto Fanatic Hyper Gloss to my soap and bucket mixture to increase lubrication and working time in the freezing cold temps and it works awesome. Hope you enjoy the tips and tricks shown in this video and if you have used any of them please post below and share. You can order Auto Fanatic Car Care Direct or Amazon

    You are a lucky man Phil to have access to drive (and own) all those incredible vehicles Phil. I am definitely jealous. It just proves what rewards working hard all your life and having drive, ambition, and a passion for something can produce. Looking forward to seeing what innovative modifications you come up with for this particular vehicle. I have enjoyed watching your journey through all your new vehicle acquisitions over the past several years. It always amazes me how you come up with all these cool and effective gadgets (you are like the "Inspector Gadget of Detailing" and I only mean that in the most complimentary way) and turn those gadgets into the most effective tool for the job at hand. For example the new BMW has those beautiful wheels on them with the diamond pattern which is sort of unusual. I saw you had that cool wheel brush that neatly fits into all the nooks and cranny's of that particular wheel. Whenever it seems one of your cars presents what you conceive as a problem, you quickly come up with your own solution to the problem or issue which makes it easier for you to complete the task! Thanks for posting the informative videos. You are one of my "go to" car detailing channels on UA-cam and I have actually purchased several of the items you review after seeing your opinion and your opinion is always 'spot on' when it comes to the review of that particular product or just your honest review about something related to cars or car detailing and to me that speaks volumes of the character of a person. When I see a UA-cam channel hyping up all this stuff and claiming it's the best ever and making all these ridiculous claims, that's the last time I will probably be on that channel. I want to go to channels where I can trust the person presenting the information is giving me their 100% HONEST opinion and I feel you provide that to the best of your ability. Granted, opinions are subjective and one person might love a product and the next person absolutely hates it after having the exact same experience, but I know when I watch your videos, I am getting what you honestly feel about the product. You also post all those great deals such as the Harbor Freight Lightweight Jack along with the Ryobi Foam Blaster which I bought the next day after watching your video and I have already blasted the siding on my house this past summer. It's a good cannon for BLASTING dirt off the paint if you have heavy build up. I also like it to BLAST away the dirt on my rims on the first knock down rinse which it works great for!). I also like the fact that you offer some of your gadgets or "better quality product" finds on your website such as the high end foam sprayers, that washing brush with the extended handle, among many other cool products. (If anyone reading has never been to Phil's Auto Fanatic website, do yourself a favor and check out some of his cool products, chemicals, and other stuff including useful detailing tools and gadgets, many of his own design, you may find something interesting for your detailing needs. Phil put's a lot of thought and YEARS of experience into his innovations, many of which are simple, but yet work so effectively well. Phil also seems to be a QUALITY fanatic too. I have noticed over the years that when he see's something and it is poor quality or could be made better or more effective , he's constantly thinking how he can improve it or make it better and often times will engineer a solution to the problem himself which could be a simple solution or a very complex solution. Thanks again for doing what you do Phil and also your honest reviews. That's what elevates Auto Fanatic UA-cam channel to the next level.

      P.S. Phil, can you maybe do a full interior cleaning (top to bottom), everything you are going to do it. That way it will showcase that incredible orange interior in closer detail It doesn't have to be right away as I totally get the fact you just got the car and I'm sure the interior both smells and looks brand new inside so you might not even do an interior detail for a while, but when you do decide to do a detail on the inside or any modifications inside, make a video for us out here.

    @joebal9044 Рік тому

    At first I thought converting that underbody spray caddy was a good idea. I have the same unit. Then I just priced out the cost of 4 SS plugs and 4 soap nozzles and thought that just using the long 22 degree wand with a soap nozzle was nearly as good and no coast. I guess if u had all the pieces you needed for this it makes sense since it avoids squating down and aiming the long wand.

    • @autofanaticcars
      @autofanaticcars  Рік тому

      i have the longer attachment for this chassis cleaner but it was cold and i was sorta rushing to get this done and didn't search in my cabinet to get it. I have modified this unit several times and i am close to getting it to shoot out like a foam cannon just waiting on some parts to machine and test. To get real foam you need a very powerful pressure washer since there are 4 jets.

      @@autofanaticcars So probably not good with the Kranzle? I guess I'll stick with the long wand and a soap nozzle with upstream injection, or just use the Ryobi on the long wand (dont think that is very maneuverable). Use the caddy for the rinse. That caddy was one of you best recommendations from a few years ago.

    • @autofanaticcars

    • @autofanaticcars
      @autofanaticcars  Рік тому

      I use a separate older MTM foam cannon for our Auto Fanatic Wheel Cleaner as shown it is too much effort to clean them out to switch over to different products and so much easier to have two foam cannons for dedicated tasks or use our wheel cleaning in one of our pump up foamers we sell as another great option

  • @Schwabz33
    @Schwabz33 Рік тому

    Not sure if you know this, but that chemical solution that you put on the car salt the way pretty much stripped everything off the car.. I’m going to assume that you’re going to be doing a full paint correction and ceramic coating on the car in the spring..I would use CarPro lift, which is formulated not to strip and it will still do the same job necessary with removing salt and grime, and it’s pH balanced

    • @autofanaticcars
      @autofanaticcars  Рік тому

      Carpro is overpriced not worth it for the amount of washes and cars I own. after mixing the Salt Away with our soap it does not strip the waxes or protection left on the car that is why I always mix it with our soap, works awesome and plenty left over for the entire season using a 32oz bottle for $20

    • @autofanaticcars
      @autofanaticcars  Рік тому +1

      I specialize in restorations of cars and undercoating is never applied perfect and always has crevices, pinholes etc that salt and water creep into, over time it creates rust and rust is bad. I suggest if you have high levels of salt to clean the underside weekly before your undercarriage gets nasty and rusty, including all the nuts and bolts and plated surfaces will rust almost instantly from salt.
