  • One of the worst things about owning a G80 M3 or G82 M4 is the brake dust and the noise it makes on slow speed breaking. There have been many complaints about these issues since the G8x platform came out. Precision Sport Industries have come out with a new brake pad (SP1) for the G8x platform that fixes all those issues.

    I've had them on the car for the past month, and its an absolute game changer. I notice a significant change on the how much less brake dust I am dealing with. With low speed braking, it eliminates the horrible screeching noise that the OEM pads produce.

      Boo hoo! It’s not that bad if you’re not driving your car hard every day. I do a lot of city driving and this is what I do.
      Wipe down (soft cloth no soap) pair of wheels every day. I alternate front to rear. Then once a week, wash them along with the car. That’s it! Your wheels will look great every day and the cost … about 5 minutes a day. Well worth it.

    Does this still maintain the "track grade performance for durability" and has the same or better stopping power as OEM ?

    • @TheDailyDriven
      @TheDailyDriven  6 місяців тому

      Yes from what Sean said light track use would be okay. It also mentions it on their website. But obviously if you're going to go for the track, you should definitely have a track dedicated pad. Even the stock pads will eventually begin to fade from The Continuous Heat. Also the bite on these pads feel a little bit more sharp in my personal opinion

    • @chrisbradley3224

      Not true. The bite still changes, all brake by wire does is electronically actuate a hydraulic system.

    • @Marc-ty5sz
      @Marc-ty5sz 6 місяців тому

      @@chrisbradley3224 well of course the bite change it is a different pad but the brake feel from the padel doesn't change. Your brake force doesn't linearly correlate to how much the car actually brakes, as the pad and rotor get hot and the brake fade, the computer compensate to brake harder even if your physical braking force is the same before the brake starts to fade. So it is hard to tell the pad is fading until it reaches the limit and gives out. At least that how it goes on track, on the road it doesn't matter cuz you cant reach 1/10 of the limit of the car.
