  • This 82 Wards was saved from the crusher!! A friend of mine saved it, bought it, got it running and eventually traded to me. It seems to be fairly rare these days and I can't find much info on them, especially the 10hp version while the 8hp is more common. The body is odd to me as it has MTD parts like the steering wheel, dash, hood pins and hood is similar to MTD products. However none of the other parts like the grille, frame, and fenders look familiar to me and seem like other brands. All in all, its a pretty cool little rider mower and I can't believe someone sent it to be scrapped.

Hansi Yes, a lot of these are impossible to find nowadays. Considering its been around over 30 years, its amazing to find one, mine was almost crushed at a scrap yard. People get a mower, use it and then toss it when they get their moneys worth. They don't realize that maybe someone else might want it. Some of these smaller tractors weren't made very long, maybe two or three years only. Limited production, old age and being discarded by morons is what makes them rare. Unfortunately sometimes you can't save them all no matter how hard you try.

Very cool machine, cant wait to see it in action! if you're gonna mow with it definitely get a muffler, that thing is LOUD.
I know your taste has changed, and you dont play with mowers anymore, but do you still have the ford and big dayton tractors?
Either way, thanks for the new video and have a good one!

Chevy Orange Deere Green Yes, my plan is to actually mow with it and restore it to a modest point, new seat, new muffler definitely its to loud and would like to clear coat it, the paint is in good shape just faded a bit and all the decals look great.
I do still have the ford, the dayton, my big red one although most haven't seen it, old videos of it were taken down long ago. I'm getting older and my tastes have just changed, I'm 34 right now and not as much free time these days.

if you put a Band-Aid over your microphone that will eliminate any wind noise but you may have to move your microphone closer to you

I had a similar tractor to that many years ago but it had a 4-speed with the chain drive rear end.

Josh The Inflatable And Tractor Guy Ropers and Simplicity are nice tractors very uncommon in my area. I once had years ago a Roper built tractor badged as a Wizard from Western Auto
