British Husband Shows American Wife | Frankie Boyle: Audience Annihilation Part 1 **REACTION**

- After countless requests for this I finally decided to get my finger out and get on with it. I myself have grown up watching Frankie Boyle all the way from the "Mock The Week" days but my American Fiancé has never seen or heard of him, and this compilation might be the perfect fit to introduce him to her.
Little girl, "Mum. What's dark humour?"
Mum, "See that girl on the swings, with no arms?"
Little girl, "MUM!! You know I'm blind!"
Mum, "There you go!"
Where the fuck is this joke taking place? Kherson?
Lol.
And Slllllsssssyyyyyyyeeer
Translating scottish into english is why geordies exist
I used to speak to Folk from Newcastle at the work and never could understand alot of it and that's when a Londoner asked me to interpret.
Geordies speak English?
Why aye man!
😆😂
Someone has been watching Al Murray the pub landlord coz he uses that joke 🤣
You guys completely missed the best joke...the well dressed guys being on a 'povety safari' 😅🤣
I thought the store detective attracted to a 2002 Celtic away top was a great joke (not sure if the year is relevant, but the jokes stands). The monkey with its legs sewn together made me properly laugh though. Pure class.
@@bruce-e-bonusthe 2002 Celtic strips a weird one, as it's a yellow kit, if it was 1996 bumble bee kit I could get him referencing it?!
'On the broo' means on unemployment benefits. It comes from when the service was first introduced, I think the department was called something like the 'Employment Service Bureau' or something similar. And because of the way us Scots pronounced the word 'bureau' it quickly just became 'on the broo.'
That's one long fucking answer.
@@chuckmac3994 but a good one.
I hate people correcting spelling, because I learned something from your post, and I loved it.
It is spelt buroo , your explanation explains the spelling as well
@@garethfarman9540 it's literally just brew.
Interesting, but I'm not convinced that's what he meant. Id say he was on the piss.
My favourite Frankie Boyle joke is from MTW.
"The Queen is now so old her vagina is haunted".
This caused such outrage that it was discussed on the evening news which in itself was hilarious as they retold the joke with such stern faces of consternation.
The missing seats (hope they're dead in a car crash) joke was particularly brutal. The day before the gig, the headline news in Glasgow was of a newlywed couple who were killed in a collision shortly after the nuptials, so the reference wasn't lost on the audience at the time.
😢
Not true I'm afraid! Those tickets were bought by my ex girlfriend for me and her to see Frankie in Glasgow ( We lived in Birmingham). The tickets were a valentines gift and the show was in August I think, however we split up literally the day after valentines day after a massive row on the first day of a holiday in Tenerife. I flew home the next day 😂! She kept the tickets so I'm guessing she didn't fancy the trip to Glasgow from Brum. Shame she wasted them because it was a fantastic show👏 . Couldn't believe it when I watched the DVD.
@@jamesd2251 I didn't say it was the dead couple who had the tickets.. I said that news story was the reference in his joke.
I would have laughed even if I was one of the dead ones. Joke was hilarious.
@@jamesd2251 Is that wannae they "trust me bro" stories?
You gotta do his reactions to Mock the Week man. How quick he is when he comes up with this stuff is amazing
The Jeremy Kyle show definitely had DNA tests to see who the father is... every episode.
That's what I thought. I don't think this guy has ever watched an episode
No it didn't. It had lie detector tests every episode.
But we now know that the Lie Detector used to tell Lies and ended up with famously one participant committing suicide. Also, Jezza or his staff were told to encourage recovering alcoholics or drug addicts to get them booze or drugs to get the right reaction out of them on the show. Not quite the caring show he tried to make out it was.
Jeremy Kyle did feature dna test results. Some glorious moments came from him announcing that they are not the father
You have to do Frankie's Michael Jackson's Children's Hospital.
Frankie is mainly a joke writer,he wrote for Jimmy Carr for years before mock the week,he also appeared on stage in the video game grand theft auto 4.but this is not his stand up routine just working the crowd before the show
Frankie has become waaaay more savage today compared to mock the week, there's a reason he's not on those weekly panel shows anymore.
But on Twittwr he's calmed down a lot to tone down the abuse from left wing nutjobs.
Frankie is on the new series of Taskmaster starting in next couple of weeks. I have wanted Frankie on that show for years. Can’t wait
Frankie Boyle's such a legend because his jokes transcend class. His experiences span the working and middle classes - skint lad, teacher, entertainer, writer & he brings this rich spectrum of life to his comedy.
He'll be one of those people remembered for years to come when he's gone...not because he said fuck you to political correctness. He didn't need to, just ignored it and performed uncensored - ignoring the gnashing and wailing of the politically correct as though they didn't exist. His style and content would never be shown in most countries *on their national TV station* , certainly not the US. Boyle's one of the main reasons you can be proud to be a Brit. People whine on - _Ah doan like his politics, his views, his rude words_ - he couldnae give a fuck.
Clever, self-effacing, aware, vulgar, fearless, funny as fuck. Frankie Boyle. A fucking legend.
Have you not seen his righteous shift back on himself as he is now pretty pc, he's a sell out
@@jakemorrison8507 PC? Are you kidding lol. He makes jokes where he features himself as a murderer, necrophiliac, blackmailer.....just because he wants the laugh and couldn't give two fks about people's outrage. That's all in the last year.
The politically correct complain about him because their politics has strangled their humour. Everyone else just enjoys one of Britain's greatest comedians - and that's saying something.
@@righteousshift482sorry then woke
@@jakemorrison8507 clearly you haven't seen new world order
I agree with the 1st reply
Frankie is very much a liberal today and his jokes are nothing like they were about a decade ago
He's very politically motivated now, he's still funny but not like whoever posted this comment pretends...
I lost interest in him when he started telling me what to believe in tbh
When Jarvis Cocker's rich college friend told him she wanted to "live like the Common People", it was actually Hackney she wanted to move to. True story.
Frankie has probably had to tone down what he says these days because people are too easily offended! Seen him live in glasgow years ago and it wasnt until i seen him live you realise how much is cut out of making it onto his dvds or tv shows, guys brutal😂💪🏼
He's gone full pussy for the last many years, so these bits are the last of his glory days.
When the kid in the front row, was spoken to at 5.03; I knew that he wanted the ground to swallow him whole. So hilarious and it never gets boring. Never Ever Sit In The Front Row!!! Easy Prey For The Comedian
Nonsense. The parents knew exactly what they were doing!
you need to see Frankie on last leg recently still savage
Fen is an example of what we here in the UK would call 'a massive prat'.
I'd use far less diplomatic wording. He's an irritating bellend
I always thought 'On the Brew' meant on the piss too, never realised it meant 'On the Dole' in Scotland before, but it makes total sense in the context of the conversation they're having.
I agree - on the brew has always been on the piss for me.
It’s means both, but if ur in glasgow and hear “the brew” it’s most likely an old cunt that means “the giro” aka “the dole”
same
maybe its just scottland?, never heard that in England on the brew is drinking and on the dole is well on the dole
Brew means hot drink to me not on the piss, love how everyone’s confused
Try frankie boyle - michael jackson childrens hospital
Kirkcaldy/Rock concert was a reference to 'Live Aid', Wembley Stadium 1985. Maybe a little before your time.
On the brew comes from bureau (labour bureau) that handles welfare and unemployment benefits
This is probably the best description i have read for the word 'brew', i have seen many descriptions of the word brew on youtube, even completely wrong descriptions.
Back in the day the Job Centre was called the Employment Bureau hence the slang term Buroo
For once the you tube subtitles were helpful, after “on the brew” it says (welfare).
loved this channel intill I found out your were a Newcastle fan (Brentford fan) drove all the way from Southampton to loose 5-1
He has definitely mellowed over the last few years, still very funny but more palatable for prime time viewing
Frankie is hands down the best 👌
Hackneys not really a shit hole any more, 20 years ago it was. But due to investors looking for cheap accomodation to rent out means property is now a minimum of £1m.
Huge demand for property in London means that house prices rocketed & part of it has become gentrified.
It’s a shithole
America has some great comedians, Jim Norton, Doug Stanhope being up there, but I don't think either of them can go toe to toe with prime Jimmy Carr or Frankie Boyle.
American comedy and British comedy are two very different beasts and when it comes to offensive comedy nobody gets close.
Yes they could lol
Stanhope's a legend for sure & would spar well with Franky I reckon.
Boyle wrote a lot of Jimmy Carr's jokes for a while. He's also one of the best editorial journalists out there when he can be bothered - scathing, beautiful delivery.
He's an incredible comedian & writer - incomparable.
American stand up is just terrible
American comedy is so much more slapstick, silly and very obvious where us Brits are masters of self-depreciation, subtle yet witty humour. The difference is incredible.
Something tells me that Frankie Boyle will be on the next series of Taskmaster 😉
Boyle, Lock, Gervais... you need to add Jimmy Carr to that list of savage stand-up!
Frankie is my hero. always a comrade 💚
"On the bru/ buro"
Short for "Bureau of Employment" ; Dept. Of Work & Pensions, as it's now known.
PS, Even Glaswegians think Paisley is rough. If you buy long-life batteries in Paisley, the locals think you're getting cocky 😁
Guys im new to your channel, have you done any Antony jesilink
Frankie was the dark heart of mock the week
On the brew is on the dole.
The old rock n roll
You are wrong. It means they are out on the piss.
@@timglennon6814 I’m afraid you’re incorrect. Thanks for playing though
@@timglennon6814 It's how they pronounce bureau apparently, from the old Unemployment Bureau.
@@coast2coast00 And spelt "on the buroo".
My grandmother was from Paisley. She always said it was a mess even when she was growing up
Frankie Boyle is the best, no-one does it like he does
After part 2, you need to do the Micheal Jackson’s childrens hospital one 👌🏻😂
Never start a land war in Asia .Or book seats in the first 5 rows of a Frankie Boyle show.
His new specials are still really funny
If you go to the comedy club in GTA its frankie boyle on stage... as its Scottish makers its jam packed with Scottish references haha
I take it you haven't been to Hackney recently. The district now has some very gentrified areas, such as London Fields, Dalton, and Stoke Newington. A two bedroom place in Hackney today would cost over £400k. A one bedroom flat in the best street sold for over £1 million earlier this year.
100% with you on Frankie these days and what anti-establishment comedy should be like. I would respond well to that. Might try to look for any such upcoming comedians in pubs perhaps.
The last ever episode of Mock the Week aired last week 😢
“On the buroo” is a reference to the old Labour Exchange Bureau now called the The Dole. Still called the buroo in Scotland though.
Frankie, ricky and jimmy are the best comedians of all time, in that order !!
He makes me want to have my independence from Scotland.
Have it... It'll be great for you
Where did you play football in paisley?
Should do Al Murray. He is savage with his audience.
The “brew” is a 70s/80s expression for being unemployed and claiming benefits.
Frankie hasn't lost it. He's busy on a sell-out tour.
This reminds me of Paul Smith at the Hot Water Comedy Club. He is the absolute king when it comes to interaction with the audience type of comedy.
Paul smith’s hilarious but there’s no way that an American can understand his Scouse accent
Excatly..
He won't know who that scouse Comedian is, but apparently, he is proper clued up.
Looooooool
Frankies the man.
Broo is a colloquial abbreviation of "unemployment bureau". "On the broo" basically means unemployed
I can't believe how accurate the subtitles are, fkin mind blown.
That's because they were made by the person who uploaded the video. They mentioned in the description that it is "now subtitled for the deaf and the American."
The 2002 Celtic away top was very popular as we wore it in our run to the 2003 UEFA cup finals beating many great teams in that top.
Aye right, he meant that the wearer would be a junkie shoplifter, and you know it. And he supports them.
@@stewrmo can be sure of many things and if you see an adult in a rangers or celtic Jersey, they'll be a junkie
Seen Frankie at the glee club in Glasgow… top glass
Did you show her ‘The, Geniuses’ yet?
Frankie could have done full shows and tours of him just abusing the audience
He'll abuse you so hard you'll think he was a friend of the family...😂
The 2002 celtic away jersey joke was about how a store detective would be sure to keep an eye on anyone wearing one. Due to the fact they'll probably be a hooligan
It's because it's like a 15-year-old football top and the person wearing it is a poor drug addict
on the brew is social welfare, Frankie asks what do you do for a livin ? he says am on the brew, meaning claiming the Giro or (welfare).
they defo used to do "you are / are not the father" stuff on Jeremy!
Me being a country man from Alabama , I can't understand a word he is saying ! I turned on my CC and it couldn't understand all the words . Me and this feller would so like we are talking different languages to each other because I talk with a Southern draw . Yalls videos are great ! Much love from Alabama
Ha! It’s the same language, but only just! I’m about 200 miles south of where he comes from, and still have to concentrate to understand him. Geordies (folk from Newcastle) are almost as hard to understand. Good luck!
@@Norton1531 Yeah same language but with my Southern United States slow talk I would love to have a conversation with yall just to see if we could understand each other . Have a good day . Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to yall !
@@sje2012 Yeah, it’d definitely be interesting!
Same to Pal, have an excellent holiday!!!! 💪🏻
Alabama... You guys not spawn from Scotland and Ireland, you've changed
On the brew (bureau) is on social security.😊
Would love to see a reaction to some Lee Evans clips, absolutely love Lee Evans and he has such a unique style of comedy. Love the vids keep em coming!
Lee evans is the goat
Before he made it big, we went to see him in a club in Glasgow. 4 English lads at nautical college. We got savaged.
The Jeremy Kyle show does have the "you are not the father" thing sometimes.
"On the brew" means not working and collecting benefits
The Dead Monkey routine is so very dark. It's right there with Michael Jackson's Children's Hospital. It's "League of Gentlemen" dark..... and wonderful.
You should show her some british classics such as roy chubby brown and bernard manning
Top quality comedians
You need to watch Frankie Boyle's New World Order on BBC 2. The sign offs are so strange 😂
Kevin bridges has taken over frankie since the time that u said, if ur Scottish there honestly isn’t anyone these days funnier than Kevin
He didnt lose it. He had to reign it in after getting cancelled for going to far.
Best reaction channel on here love it would you be open to suggestions what to react to?
On the brew means he's collecting welfare. It's the Scottish version of being on the dole.
The dole is global mate.
Australia has it too.
@@dcmastermindfirst9418 - when did I say, or even hint, that other countries don't have unemployed benefits?
My Father came from Paisley, never went back, unfortunately he brought Paisley with him .
They turn subtitles on and don't even read them, it literally says (welfare) next to broo 😂😂😂
on the bru brew is "THE DOLE"
randy buys a bookshelf on gumtree
Jimmy Carr is a comedian GOAT. Need that reaction
Steve Hughes a great comedian
On the Broo, is Glaswegian for The Dole
If stand-up was one-on-one, there would be an audience of one.
What?
How many times can a person say like in a conversation, it doesn't half make people sound stupid.
In Scotland 'on the brew' means claiming unemployment benefits. Glasweigans wouldn't jeer at drinking tea/coffee. Cuppa tea/coffee is what I'd say. 'On the piss' is what's normal if I'm going for out for the nights with my mates
Goat table for me is. George Carlin, bill Hicks, Doug Stanhope, Frankie Boyle
Try goin down the brew with your claymore in your hand and count all the princes in the queue.
it literally said '' im on the brew (welfare)'' in the subtitles :p
'On the brew' - on benefits / unemployment
'Brew money' being slang for unemployment benefit.
Frankie is gold, it's his timing that makes him so funny for me.
Husband ...don't see a ring on finger like
When you see Frankie Boyle, leave your societal expectations at the door.
Why? He is too satirical for some pekoe to digest
The wanking bit will never get old - i bet that family still go on about it now i bet it became a family joke
I still think Frankie's best is from Mock the Week in the bit things you wouldn't hear in the Queens address "I'm now so old that my pussy is haunted". Seeing the reaction on the other comedians faces was priceless.
Neither of you referenced Live Aid.
Now I feel old.
make a note ..."must visit paisley"
On the brew is on benefits in scotland.
Why don’t you react on some Mock the Week ; will be fun!
