Regarding the intro, at 0:26 the need for emphasizing it usually means you're just as intoxicated (doesn't mean you're lying, but needing to mention it wouldn't be required if you hadn't any at all). Not saying that is the case, just saying that's how it's perceived. 3:05 - Yeah, that's the whole point of being "better" at comedy. Sure, engaging in the PC or political stuff is fine for a joke or two (which nearly everyone does), but to give a whole section dedicated to that would be just giving in to "making fun of each other" divide in the US. Best things you lot should try, is to come together and talk, not to point fingers at each others president candidate "speech impediments" and "getting old" stuff. Talk to a "MAGA"... Talk to a "nazi democrat". Try and frekkin' talk together! So it's really uncomfortable to hear you (CCR) saying that comics overseas isn't "hitting hard enough", while still being the most offensive comedians. It's a delicate line that unfortunately comedians are the ones to "face", as where politics (and PC language etc) are free to "go crazy" as much as they want, and the more they do the more attention it gets from media. wow... sorry for that rant. GG

When someone says with a straight face, that Frankie Boyle has gone a bit woke, you've really got to thank f..k they have moved to Florida.
Have a look at Gary Delaney ruthless one liners ; very near the knuckle
I think Norm is a good comparison. They were both the comedians' comedian. Didn't give a crap and told the jokes that made themselves laugh.
everyone always points out seans spit line, but nobody ever took notice of miles his comeback.
I love Sean's version of the tiger that came to tea. A Tiger getting bladderred at the bar (urinating at the bar)
jerry sadowitz makes Frankie Boyle seem like a boy scout
You clearly haven't watched as much UK comedy as you make out because we can say stuff in the UK that Americans would never dare to even think about
Regarding the intro, at 0:26 the need for emphasizing it usually means you're just as intoxicated (doesn't mean you're lying, but needing to mention it wouldn't be required if you hadn't any at all).
GG
Norm Macdonald was Canadian, Mate!
Ballance sound. its like listening on your phone during a rock concert..
Yeah Jimmy Carr would never think of pushing the boundaries and go over the line...
Hugely missed 🙏❤️
I miss Sean Lock so much. I stumbled across 8 out of 10 Cats and 8OO10C Does Countdown a few years ago, and I could never get enough of him.
Can anybody explain why 2 average folks are walking us through a piece highly professional polished entertainment? Am I missing something?
One British comedian that rly pushes the boundaries is Ricky Gervais
Does he? He's been doing the same jokes for a couple of decades now. He just changes the target based on what's current
@@halfcentaur9836 fair enough
Perhaps, it is just a shame he is not in any way funny
"Challenging wank" will be immortal! RIP Sean.
This dude took all his mannerisms from Nish Kumar and Rimmer from Red dwarf🤣🤣🤣
What a legend
it's not that Americans do comedy better but it's all down to whether you are British or American
what does that even mean?
It obviously means, we have different sense of humours… 🤦♂️
British comedy is definitely better
@@myworldntlAmericans have zero sense of humour
I'm British, and while I love some of our standups like Peter Kay, Frank Skinner etc, my all-time favourites are Norm MacDonald, Gilbert Gottfried, Dave Chappelle & Patrice O'Neal.
R.N.L.I. is the Royal National Lifeboat Institute.
If not seen then perhaps go for the Trio of British comedy, Only Fools and Horses, Fawlty Towers and Red Dwarf.
You could see he was ill now you look back
Rip sean
Very very funny man
Watch the entire "Carrot in a Box" saga.
Jon's got to win one, right?
RIP Sean.
Hard hitting is political? Only in America because they only have two teams in the game. Try Jimmy Carr in You Face or Mine. Not political but it does push the boundaries. Another channel 4 late nighter.
Sean was amazing,So quick
It’s funny the top American comedians you mention I’d never heard of.
American comedy is garbage
BEAMRULES!!
Also, check out 15 stories high. Written by and starring Sean.
Cant beat British comedy
You should defo show Ricky Gervais at Oscars
Push the boundary frankie boyle scottish
8 out of 10 cats countdown is censored
Carrot in the box was the greatest comedy moment of all times outside “four candles” 😅
With the island, Sean's missed a perfect opportunity for a great name - Isle Hitler
What do you mean, Countdown's for old people? I'm only 67 and I watch Countdown. Er.... oops....
He was so fucking funny. Miss him lots.
Great reaction. Just a note, the quiz show, Countdown, was the first programme transmitted on channel 4.
