One of the reasons why hotdog slices were put in Jolly Spaghetti it is because when this product started to make the spaghetti affordable for filipinos they use hotdogs rather than meatballs. Meatballs is honestly more expensive than hotdogs.
I respect your honest review. Not everyone has the same preference in food. What matters is that you gave an honest review. Plus the extra info about jolibee that even as a filipino didnt know. Ps. I love the chicken sandwiches too
@@CharlieWayneAdventures just unique is the sauce mayo ketchup, patties they use is something similar in other fast food, for "yum burger" their cheapest burger
I watched Filipinos react to Jollibee in Canada and they've said that it doesn't taste the same as Jollibee in the Philippines, I think that it's because some ingredients aren't available in Canada.
good question, we decided to try something different to experimental with the whole menu. originally the idea was to eat the same thing but because of time gaps between each film i probably would have just forgotten the flavor or taste. great idea and appreciate you doing a part of the channel
I watched Filipinos react to Jollibee in Canada and they've said that it doesn't taste the same as Jollibee in the Philippines, I think that it's because some ingredients aren't available in Canada.
interesting, that was a central point of our question before we began films . I assume the sauces and preparation process remains the same, so could it be the meat that's different?
@@CharlieWayneAdventures I also read that some ingredients in the Philippines aren't allowed in Canada, so they had to compromise and adapt to the local health laws, which meant altering the recipe and using alternative ingredients. That's why Jollibee in Canada tastes different.
Filipino here 😊 Don't mind it if some get touchy over Jollibee, imo its more of it being so much a part of their childhood that y'know one wants everyone to like it (I assure you though most do understand its not gonna a winner with every different tastebuds & preferences) . Hm, for me I'm not much of a Jollibee burger fan I just get the Chicken, chicken burger, pies & their sopas if its available (& palabok whenever I miss the taste) while my nephew loves their burger steak bec. thats the only thing he ate when he was a kid 😅 Nothing wrong with voicing out one's likes & dislikes, I find it much better than flat out gushing everything. As some already mentioned some orders do take time esp. if its not a common order, jolly spaghetti is targeted for kids so not everyone's gonna like it esp. if one is used to the italian kind 😅
The big burger he says is Champ, it took 15 minutes to prep cuz not so many people buy that burger so they need to make it from scratch (frying frozen patty, and assembling the burger) unlike yumburgers that already cooked and kept warm most of the time. also, that sweet spaghetti always threw westerners off, as they are accustomed to spaghetti on restaurants. what ppl in the west like: Chicken Peachmango Pie Pineapple Juice what they didn't like: burger steak yumburger spaghetti
It takes 10 to 15 to cook the aloha burger as its one of the specialty burgers its going to be made to order not many people orders that because its on the expensive side

Your HONESTY feedback is amazing, and very appreciative. Truth be told, as a food critic, I think ALL FASTFOOD is junk. Simply meaning it's not that I don't like one Fast-food place over another, they all suck in comparison to a local restaurant that cooks hearty/tasty meals . But again, that you so much for your feedback, I understand maybe i didn't do that good of the job in explaining what i just mentioned above.
BTW Have you seen our other food vlogs of local restaurants? in my honest opinion i give truthful high regards to the filipino foods that are normally served (non-fast food)
One last comment, That Jollibee Chicken Sandwich (burger) I ate, seriously it actually competed with some of the best chickens sandwich with competitor restaurant so they did well there
good lord the amount of defensive Filipino comments here is both funny and sad lol. the man is just reviewing the food and telling a brief history of the company and they attacked him for expressing his personal taste about the food. they even attacked the man about some of his honest mistakes which is just sad because do you really have to go that far because your hurt that not everyone liked your food? yikes.
been coming to the philippines for 15 plus years, married to one for 11, have an media office that employs filipinos for almost 3 years. what good is it if we make videos and act Fake, it's a diss service to the viewer. to be fair that chicken sandwich was AMAZING, like better than other fast food restaurant. but the beef patty was equivalent to every other fast food restaurant and they all taste like cardboard, No Flavor!
I see. He's targeting Filipino views. Haven't you see his other food reviews? It's all about Philippines. If you say he is a food critic then why does he only review Filipino foods? Cause he knows the algorithm of yt and he knew that if he do a topic about Filipinos he can have many views and became viral just like others. Filipinos always fall for these kind of schemes cause Filipinos like attention and acknowledgements. We become proud if someone appreciate us, our culture, country or anything about us specially if it came from a foreigner but we also have the mentality to cancel someone who we see is just using Filipinos as a platform to gain popularity. But to be honest this is just a simple review and nothing to be fuzz on. It doesn't have to be a big deal if someone do not like our food. It's their own tastes buds but sometimes Filipinos are very dramatic and I agree that some are very defensive.
Oh, absolutely! You’ve completely cracked the code. I mean, why else would I fly halfway around the world, set up a media office, employ an entire Filipino staff, and pour money into video production and editing that's like no one else's content-all just to chase that incredibly lucrative low RPM that UA-cam pays out for views in the Philippines. Genius, right? I couldn't possibly have any other reason, like, I don’t know, actually appreciating Filipino culture, food, or people. Nope, it’s all about squeezing out those pennies from the ‘super lucrative’ Filipino RPM. I guess next, I'll be setting up a base in Antarctica for that sweet, sweet penguin viewer base. Thanks for the insight!

I don't know what is wrong with your taste buds if you think the burger patty has no flavor. It's one of the very few fast food burgers that actually has a distinct flavor. Now, I'm not going to say everyone LIKES that flavor, but it definitely has flavor.
Even if you taste it on abroad or local, If you dont like the flavor or taste you didnt like it period. meaning not all fast food chain to be like by 100% people. Ps: sorry for my english not my native language. new subs here
Hey brother, I understand you clearly, no worries. But actually I and the other Filipino in the film notice a taste difference. .I'll say THAT CHICKEN SANDWICH WAS AMAZING, 🤤... BUT to be fair, i find the meat patties at all fast food restaurants tasteless and it's like they add saw dust more cardboard as a filler. lol. hence when they add so much sauce to compensate
but this film is about so much more than that, it's about the success of a filipino borne restaurant gone international. Our research was far beyond our initial suspicion of a success

Well not everyone likes the same food. I know my brother and sister doesnt like a certain food that I like. Really depends on your palate. My Palate though is very wide range so I can eat any food from any country and like it. Good video. Love how you explain what jollibee is.
